The beetles talk on their own. They are basically what co-ordinates the race that resides on their backs, taking them to where others report water is. They are all constantly talking, and each one has a little one of my race to talk to, who acts as a relay for the knowledge of the beast

Dudes, i like halo. I love the lore behind halo. However, it is generic, bland, and downright n00bish to be used for your RPC (notice the 0 instead of o. I am super serious).

Think of it this way: if you see someone RPing as Edward from Twilight in a vampire RP of original vampires, what would happen? What would you say when Barney the Dinosaur is someone's RPC in a Dino RP? Wouldnt anyone get mad if you play as any Pokemon or Digimon in monster RP?

I am not pitting halo as someone as unholy as twilight or barney. However, the basis is the same: you are ruining the great RP made by hardworking OP by creating uncreative apps that you spent less than two seconds thinking about. And... that is n00bish.

You are suppose to CREATE YOUR OWN. The point of RPC (unless it is cannon RP) is SUPPOSED to be self-creation.

Using halo as a ref and even pictures is fine. But once you start saying energy swords are possible, you shoot plasma from your nostrils, or evem start spouting nonesense about Great Journey, you are being incredibly uncreative. I am not asking for much... just create your dream, not live other's dream.

To be fair, we're all inspired by something. Just add your own touch to an alien race, and it'll be good. Make them interesting. Make them yours.

I've referenced nothing from halo through! I've simply made a glorified smart ballon and even a short history about them. The only thing from used is a picture, if it stops you from compiling I'll try to find one thats NOT halo.

2. When you google your RPC's power and found out that said power actually comes from your favorite game/story/lore? (This is subjective, since a lot of powers have been created before, and sometimes fireballs can make an interesting RP if you use them correctly)

3. If you referenced your character from another's lore, how related are the two? If you can match over 50% of the lore, you may need to swap out a bit more.

In Asia, there is clevet idiom for your situation. If you dont feel like you have done anything, chances are that I am not talking to you.... unless I am, in which cade everyone is confused.

There is nothing wrong kickstarting your creativity with whats already there... you dont have to reinvent the wheel each time. However... ask yourself what you are going to do with said race yoi created. If you are RPing mythological creatures exactly how original lore have said, then you may have copied too much.

Similar to generic races. If your "Navi" (since no one has done Avatar this seems appropriate) is going to be slinging trees, domesticating flying reptiles, and singing about communicating literally with nature, then they may be too similar to the original.
