I've completed the price list. What should the initial price ceiling be?

Guess that depends on weather all the characters are new to the merc field or not.

I'm gonna' go with the same thing I did last time. Character gets laid off as they retire planes, so said character gets funds from a Mercenary company to join up, bringing his plane with.

I've decided to set the price cap at 7 million. That leaves a little over half the list available from the start, but more scouring for plaens should fix that. I may go to GE&I to look.

Why not it's the 1980s, many small countries were using F-86's until the mid to late 80's IRL.

True, but if you throw some unguided bombs or rockets on it you have a decent ground strike craft.

I think the only real problem you'll have with the Sabre is that it's not super sonic, nor does it have the ability to mount guided missiles. I know that the F-100 Super Sabre does have super sonic capability but I don't know about the missiles. If you want something older that still has main gun armament but is supersonic and has guided missile capability I would suggest the F-8 Crusader.

It is Transonic which is still preety fast but compared to Mach 2 no where close.

Actually the F-86 was modified to use the AIM-9 in Taiwanese service and a Taiwanese pilot in an F-86 scored the first ever AIM-9 kill. Since this is Ace Combat I think we could get away with missile armed Sabres being common.

Cut price limit to 3.5 million so everyone can enjoy starting with Sabres.

Sadly this robs me of my Thud, but I can deal with it.
