The New Ace Combat RP Planning Thread (Building)

This is an extremely shite planning thread for my upcoming Ace Combat RP, so that we don't clutter up New Babylonia's ded thred.

What we have established:

• It will take place in the Ace Combat universe
• It will take place in 1986
• Our characters will be mercenaries
• We have an aircraft list
• We have a map (based off of this map)
• We will be fighting as hired wings for South Sotoa in a defensive war against Verusa and Valga.

What we need to establish:

• Worldbuilding - This isn't completely necessary, but I want to do it anyway because Ace Combat's worldbuilding is extremely spotty.
• We need 2 superweapons, one with a tunnel
• Soundtrack

I can easily make a preliminary aircraft list, but input is always welcome. As for the war, The Bran Reich suggested making it about the Blood War between Romny and Yuktobania, but considering how that panned out, I'm not entirely sure about it.

As for factions, I do recommend we start off as supposedly 'good guys', and later on got framed for terrible things we haven't done and on the run ever since. Welp, we can be international mercs if we want to be a bit flexible or not.

I'm thinking the big bad we're facing are prolly terrorist mastermind or scheming, rogue generals of the offending nation.

Hmm, on the unrelated note, I was not sure if Ace Combat Universe has its own equivalent of Asia or Africa. The only Asian I know is Kei Nagase and the African pilot to which the name I forget are both from Osea.

Well, I mean, I guess Excalibur would be the most expensive out of all of those. You've got to first have the research into creating a super-powerful laser, and then you've got to put a bunch of satellites in the sky to redirect the laser on whatever the heck you want it to hit.

Damn, even for a regional power like Belka, yeah, I can see why their economy crumbled as it did.

I'm tempted to use this map instead of the official canon Strangereal map, simply due to its greater detail. Or at least add parts of it to the official map to fill in for its sore lack of detail.
