Welcome to the "Valley of Madness", A Roleplay set during the 1920's in the remote mountain town of Providence. Sinister forces gathered in the surrounding countryside leading to several unexplained events and disappearences. This caught the attention of the local authorities, the press, cults, secret societies and other organizations who therefore sent agents to Providence to investigate...
Providence

The town and the surrounding countryside offers many places to visit. Each offers opportunities for those who decide to visit them. They are:
Town square - The Center of Providence. The doctors office, The hotel Rouge, The telegraph and post offices, the general store, the library, the café, The constabulary and the town hall surround a humble old park.
-Each location can be visited independently as an action.
The Pier - Dozens of fisherman live in the homes nearby. It is from here each day they set sail to fish fish from the lake. At the rear of the pier is the Captain's Inn where the fisherman go after a day of work.

The Toy Factory - A Sawmill, A Water tower, a fire station and a toy assembly line provides employment for some locals... but they are reluctant to talk about their work.

Campus Of The Providence Academy - A Great place to learn about biology... not in the physical sense though. The Academy is a very small one, Mere 50 stundents and 7 professors study the secrets of life here.
-The Campus can be visited as action
Ruebeck's Farm - A Farm on the outskirts of Providence. An Orchard, a vegetable garden, a pumpkin garden and a grain field provide fresh food for the town.

The Grey Manor - A Private manor atop a nearby hill. Nobody knows who owns it though.
-The manor can be visited as action.
The Forests - Dark forests around Providence... Not a popular travel destination among the locals... Perhaps it hides more locations waiting to be discovered!
-The forests can be visited as action.
There May be a total of 6-14 players participating in the RP
They are divided into 3 groups:
Investigators - Curious individuals who came to providence to uncover its secrets. They win if they solve the local mysteries and
Cultist -
Neutrals - These people have their own agenda.
Game mechanics:
Aside from regular RP actions, Each RL Day characters may preform the following:
(these are the actions that matter game mechanics wise. You can do anything outside these whenever and wherever as long as it doesn't involve Injuring/killing others.)
1. Visit a location and do something there. (Gain clues on mysteries, Gain Items, Gain Skills, Find
OR
2. Attack someone else (combat occurs)
OR.
3. Spy on someone (Gain clues on their Identity)
Characters may also gain conditions. Conditions range from bad to worse... no actually, There are some good ones. Some examples:
Paranoia, Amnesia, Severe injuries and common cold.
You can get them from all sorts of sources and they will take toll on your character over time. You may try to fix them though with help of some items or other characters...
Oh yes, Items and relics you can also accumulate such guns, Spyglasses and ancient tomes.
At start of RP, Everyone's identity will be hidden. Nobody knows their allies and enemies or what their goals are. By investigating in Providence, they will gain information which slowly uncovers... uhm... Yeah. I'm not suppose to talk about that stuff yet. Anyway, The RP will be split into 4 Parts:
Introduction - No combat may occur. (short)
Part II (I couldn't come up with a name) - Combat may occur but no characters may die (they may lose health in form of negative conditions) (long)
Part III - Combat may occur and characters may be killed (mid length)
Showdown - Combat may occur and characters must die until either the cultists or the Investigators are dead. (mid length)

Ability:
1. A Mysterious friend - Chance to gain one random clue every day
2. Knowledge of surgery - Fix one health condition each day on a character of your choice
3. Master of Disguise - Plant fake clue about you (which will mislead others about your identity)
4. Convincing Charisma - Allows you to Reveal Your true Identity before someone once a day-
5. Occult Intrigue - Start with a clue
6. Good Connections - Learn everything the mayor of Providence knows without much trouble.
7. Strong Faith - Better at fighting withstanding the horrors of the world.
8. Insomnia - Preform one extra action once during each part of the RP.
