The Abridged was more entertaining.

It varies. House of Cards is my favorite show. The X Files are good. But I also like comedy like 30 Rock. I liked Breaking Bad. All pretty standard.
Tokyo Ghoul is decent, though its edgyness can deter people.
Hetalia is grossly overhyped by Tumblr and DeviantART simultaneously. It's not that bad, but it's not that good either.

Sadly, there are no real anime that compare to House of Cards - politics seems to be a touchy subject in Japan, and as a result there aren't many anime, manga, or movies of note about the Japanese government. Except Servant x Service, but that's a comedy.
As a starter I'd suggest Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Yeah but it doesn't count because it didn't finish what it started.
And if we're suggesting abridged series, go with Hellsing Ultimate's.
Or watch professional voice actors abridge an anime with the English dub of Ghost Stories. Somewhat dated with its references, but extremely funny.

Code Geass has a very interesting take on Japanese politics.

Well what anime have you seen? Because SAO is pretty bad as far as anime go.
Furthermore, outside of anime, what genres do you like in your television/movies?

A Fate RP might be good, though I haven't seen any in a while, other than a Fate-style RP on another website. Though that was a bit different, and seemed to take a "let's make Servants be anime characters from different settings thrown into one particular RP crossover type thing" route. Anyway...
They call me Temp. If I take too long to respond, just TG me. Or TG me whenever, I'm online 90% of the time.
Anime God of P2TM, Last of Lithianity, Bro to All, & P2TM's Villain in Glasses. Kacheen!

Sounds like fun. Though I don't know a whole lot about Fate. Still would like to participate though.
D'ya think each master/servant pair is one RPer, or that each is their own RPer?

As I've said before when this topic is brought up, dibs on the Duke of Wellington as a servant. The Templar High Council wrote:Sounds like fun. Though I don't know a whole lot about Fate. Still would like to participate though.

That might depend on how many people want in. I think I'd favour each player only being a servant or master though.

Y'know, my previous RP idea for a Servant was for an emo genderbent Attila as Rider or Berserker.
And then Fate/Grand Order happened. :V
