...That isn't how GDP growth rate works. My economy would expand faster, I'd have more market growth, etc., etc. with a higher GDP Growth Rate. As a developed nation, you wouldn't be seeing the same growth rate that a developing nation like myself is seeing. You are the premier economic power currently, no question, but over time, you will be overshadowed by my economy. Probably not within this roleplay, at least.

Now, overtaking you in GDP wouldn't mean we're automatically better. India will be years behind socially and with GDP Per Capita as well, not to mention military technology and such.

US has bases around the world and in almost every region of the globe. Plus their main rival which they were in a series of proxy wars with for the better part of the second half of the 20th century collapsed on itself. Therefore it's safe to assume they're a superpower. None of us are superpowers at the moment.
