Big-jackies/Polis-Jacks: Descended from Pack-Jacks who have been selectively bred to make superior riding animals they are somewhat larger, stronger, and overall a little nicer than their more common cousins. Their dehorned early in life to prevent injury to handlers, though some used as war mounts like to keep the horns for combat purposes. Their a wiry bunch with a sort of functional strength with very tough legs and sound, very hard hooves. Due to the rugged terrain they are continually ridden over(often at great speeds), they have developed into tough, sure-footed animals with great stamina and almost legendary endurance allowing them to go as much as 40 miles in a day. They come from the Free Polis of Highwood where they were developed and have become a well known trade item of theirs being prized pets of many rather high up individuals in the wasteland. Principally domesticated they can be found feral in the more south-easterly regions most commonly near and in the woodland.

That actually sounds like a pretty cool idea.
Anyone getting the 'Charge of the Light Brigade' feel?

I do not want them to completely supplant the Pack-Jacks hence the exclusivity and overall uncommonness outside a general region, but still something that could be useful and be a nice trade product for my settlement. I did say in my App how many merchants come to are lands from the city, this could be a good reason why.

Side arms would definitely stay in their holsters, but we also use larger firearms that don't exactly holster. They would remain slung, not raised. The Tophat Empire wrote:
sure, maybe 50 or so? and what would they be doing in my territory? military drills together, just regular workers, or something else, i am open for ideas
Well, there could be a few KoR as well, but I was asking about the church, not the knights.

I mean i have the monopoly in Firearm and ammunition production and no one is screaming OP.

with all respect, having a monopoly on horses sounds kinda, not OP, but well, boring and impossible(breeding when you buy one, or will you just hunt them down, cus then we are entering plot device territory)

They are not horses, their just really big nice Pack-Jacks. Were like the Armory, not exactly a monopoly it's just we created them(via selective breeding) as such have pretty much the largest domestic stockpile allowing us to be the principal supplier.

Woods in the Northwest? That's farmland, not woods. And Northwest is probably a no-go zone for me. The 316th are mortal enemies, and there are probably going to be issues with the Patriots.

It's actually an interesting thing, I would think of them like Mule's as opposed to donkey's.
Perhaps because of the selective breeding only a few of them are fertile ?
