Fair enough! You never know though. I'll be deploying my royals liberally as generals, as military prestige in campaign is a large part of the social glue of the Seleucid Empire, so Antiochus could always eat an unlucky arrow one of these days, leaving Achaeus heir.

It's worth noting that Greek pikemen are the going frontline unit in the near East at this time; Armenia probably at least has some native pikemen, and Greek mercenaries.

fun fact, Auvergne is named after the Arverni. Accepted. The Arverni are also one of the major alliance leaders in Gaul, contrasted with the Aedui.

A good thing about sending off children to marry is that it gives you many CB's for war

Indeed; the main reason I like our marriage alliance. We both already have claims to the other's lands, so it can't be a sneaky effort at taking over a bloodline.

You're in a bad spot here- stick with Seleuces and his belovedness or sacrifice stability for a custom dynasty.

Very much it was. Keep in mind, though, that Germanic nations, because they were so warlike, rarely actually claimed land. War got a lot of loot, some slaves, perhaps a few concubines, and a ton of prestige, but it rarely resulted in actual expansion. Worth noting is that Germans hated Celts, so maybe a modifier for that could be tossed in among Germanic nations.

A modifier for enhanced naval warfare can work as well.

For modifiers, something should be said about Norway's role in the Germanic world. It is the coldest and most northernly, so certainly a winter warfare modifier. It's one of the holiest sites in Odinism, so there's also that. They're also relatively unblocked with access to the North Sea in contrast to the Dani and the Geats and the Gutis, who all have to circumnavigate Jutland to get to the North Sea.
