Europe is leaning towards socialism, if not full Communism, because there's no way war-weary Germany and Britain will realistically be able to stop the energized Franco-Italian-Spanish forces besides reform and policy concessions. America is doing its own little thing, and Central Asia will probably turn into an absolute mess as the Chinese start trying to project their power there and regain control over their provinces, the Whites pursue the Reds, and the Reds raise hell.

By 1984 in the thread, we'd probably be looking at Eurasia (China, Russia, Japan), Europa (Europe and Africa), and America (Greater Columbia), with America and Eurasia fighting over the Pacific Islands and Australia, America and Europa fighting over the Atlantic and maybe West Africa and the Caribbean Islands, and Eurasia and Europa fighting over Central Asia.

As for no Thought Police... I'm sure the Ministry of Domestic Tranquility could step very easily into that role...

That's exactly my point. I mean if we look at the traditional Great Powers [+ China]:

Capitalist: Columbia, the UK, Germany, China, Japan, Austria [Hue].
Socialist: France, Italy
Civil War: Russia [Whites be winning, though]

I'd toss France into Civil War just bc OCD and technically it is, however it is obvious which side as won at home.

Anyways, Columbia, of which is an ocean away from pretty much well anything else that matters, has yet to involve itself in the French civil war, and the British are signing an agreement with the Red Frenchies to not get involved. So the French will go Commie and likely not face much resistance.

Spain is going socialist, from what it appears, again once more without what appears to be any foreign involvement of objections.

Russia is an interesting case. Whichever side wins, it won't be much of a victory. While foreign troops are aiding the Whites, they have obviously over committed and their time in Russia is likely limited. Everyone that has committed troops (minus Japan) are mega-democracies and people back home will only want their sons fighting and dying in Russia for so long before they start to get angry. Besides, with the USC hoping to annex all of Central America, it is going to be hard to essentially fight two wars, three if you count the public relations war incoming. Anyways, even if the Whites manage to win Russia, it is not much of a victory. So really I would not look at that as a blow to communism.

Italy is just Italy. I mean they really didn't do much for the capitalists anyways and might end up doing just as much if not potentially more for the Socialists.

Austria I mean please, we all know that shit is on its way out to irrelevance.

Also, something to consider. It is 1921. The USSR really was the only communist nation around now in history. The rest really came around after WWII, either through winning civil war (China) or being forced to go Commie by the USSR (aka all of Eastern Europe). Cuba, Vietnam, North Korea, etc. don't fall into this trend, but quite frankly the power they held was so minimal.

Anyways, so lets look at communism in historical 1921, we had the USSR. Let's look at communism (including socialists because lets be honest the difference when executed is more than minimal) in our 1921, we have France, Italy, potentially Russia, likely Spain.

As per European great powers, we have France, Italy, potentially Russia. Toss in Spain who adds plenty of bodies, well what s there to counter them? A dying Austrian Empire, yippee idk why that has not collapsed yet, a largely ethnically divided Greece, Germany, and Britain. The last two are the only true great powers, I mean Austria might count but does it really, and Greece is about the same as Spain. So currently, it's 3 great powers and 1 regional power on both sides. Omg look the perfect balance. Now, Scandinavia is a coin toss as if they will go neutral in a good Nordic fashion or if they will go full on anti-commie. Anyone else who is anti-commie is so tiny and so war torn that they cannot make much of a difference.

Point is, the two sides in Europe are fairly balanced. And even if the Whites win Russia, the balance really doesn't change, as Russia won't be ready for war for at least a decade and a half. Hell, no one in Europe at this rate is.

Think about what other powers are sending (besides Hannover, who I'm going to kneecap if he proceeds with this LSD-fueled fantasy about 75,000 British soldiers going anywhere right now). Japan is close and directly affected and has limited logistical issues, they sent like 20,000 I believe. China has offered to send a lot, but they haven't done anything yet and any soldiers they did send might not even make it to the front (and if they did they'd be useless as fuck, probably). Britain should probably be capped at 5-10,000, because of logistical issues and public war weariness. You have even bigger logistical issues, so I'd say maybe 10,000 men. They'd probably have to be sent to Vladivostok rather than Archangelsk as well because of increased issues with feeding them, clothing them, etc. Vladivostok will just be easier.
