Reina waved her hand in front of her face dismissively.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Stop acting like you're the only person who's ever suffered. You think your suffering makes you special? Then do I have news for you. IT. DOES. NOT. Suffering is part of life, and people who end up at Beacon seem to have a natural ability for suffering more than other people. You aren't special. You don't get to act any more angtsy than the rest of the students and staff here just because you're blind to what other people have gone through. Resilience is part of being a Huntress. I don't see much of it in you."

By the end of her statement, Reina's mouth was snarled, her canines exposed. Something about this girl she hated. It was like looking at a weaker version of herself almost. Perhaps that's why. They say the things you hate the most are the things you hate the most about yourself.

Lucas was grinning as wide as ever as he plopped down in the Cafeteria, in one of the few open tables left, knowing full well this is where others would soon fill in this spot as well, of course meaning new friends in the process. But while Lucas prepared himself for the literal pile of food on his plate, he strangely thought back to the past few weeks and how they have gone by.

"It's been something, I'm doing okay with my grades thanks to Mentari helping me out when she is willing, so I won't be dropping out atleast...

"Of course, I don't worry about that in combat class, I am one of the top fighters there I think, and speaking of that, Storm-sent 2.0 with those additions Mentari and Team HEAT helped me add are freakin' awesome so yeah there's that..."

"Also I learned a bit more about the extent of my semblance and aura, especially with the Dust in my blood, by activating my aura to the dust, I can electrify my body and muscles to the point I can release small bits of electricity out of my hands or feet...Oh and I have increased my safe zone controlling a Storm by 15 seconds, that's useful.

And Team CMCL, Charlotte has opened up to us more...I think which is a good thing...I think, Chess can be pretty cool when he's not grabbing Mentari or Charlotte "accidentally" or taking their underwear, and Mentari is the most awesome nerd ever."

Then he stopped spacing out and began chowing down, taking food in both hands and began is shovel down his throat of as much food as possible, it's math even Lucas could do, High Energy Usage=Need More Calories to sustain. And of course, Lucas waited for students to sit down, as he sees everyone in Beacon as a friend until they do something bad to prove otherwise.

Everyone has a berserk button. For Charlotte, it seemed to be being called damaged or defective. For Reina, it was her family, or rather, anything which seemed to refer to her lack of one.

She snapped.
Reina punched the tree as hard as she could. Her aura protected her, but still, punching a tree barehanded was going to hurt quite a bit later. The wood splintered where her hand struck it directly, and whole tree shook.

Sirina Zezili

Sirina heard the sound of a fist hitting a tree. She turned in the direction of the sound, biting her lip as she thought.

Do I go investigate, or do I just head for food..... she closed her eyes opened them and smiled, Screw it, food can wait...

She made her way towards the sound, trying to keep inconspicuous as she moved her White cane across the ground. She made sure not to walk straight towards the sound, but off to the side slightly. As she closed in she "saw" one of the teachers that she remembered from Ning and her arrival, she witnessed said teacher fight. And then she identified another student, but she didn't know a name.

So, she walked a bit further away, and than sat down around a corner, listening.

Charlotte grinned.

It was a grin she had perfected over the past few years, just the right combination of fury, glee, intimidation, and a touch of madness...

It was a grin that said 'However bad you think you are, I'm worse.'

"Oh, believe me. I'm looking forward to it."

She really could be my mother.

Except, unfortunately, that job fell to you.

No, it didn't. Because you're not real.

Real enough to hurt you...

Your fear of me, you made me real.

Maybe so.

But that doesn't mean I'm your mother; it's impossible anyway.

Just call me your brainchild.

Reina asks, flexing her hand and grimacing slightly. She shouldn't have lunch the tree that hard.

"Ozpin knows I can't help it sometimes. Things happen at combat schools after all. Sure, it'll be bad for me if I actually get caught, but it won't be too bad. Are you really going to just accept that I'm going to try to kill you during class?"

Maybe I will... Maybe I won't... I still want to see how she reacts...

Reina was taken aback for a moment. She wanted to die. That was... Different. She removes a knife from her belt. Nothing fancy, not like her weapons. Just a plain knife.

"So if I was to take this knife and stab you right here and now, I'd just be fulfilling a wish of yours to die?"

There was a moment of brief regret--she had, after all, finally found a friend in Theriam--but the new emotions, the new risks that was bringing...

Hope was scary.

Better to die than continue to hurt.

The same thing she had held to for five long, endless, miserable years of a hellish living death...

"Go ahead."

She actually smiled.

It was a very small smile, but it was a genuine smile.

She throws the knife, barely missing Charlotte's face and hitting the tree instead.

It had been weeks now since the appearance of the mysterious woman that had given him his ornamental dagger that now hung on a display case over his bed. Togami often found himself staring at it on these long nights that he spent going over the various news outlets in his scroll for any related incidents in the news. Things had gone quiet, but Togami's gut told him something was going to happen at the docks soon.... Oh, when has listening to my gut been something that I do? That isn't like me at all. Besides, I wouldn't even know how to work on that information. It's not my problem right now. I need to get back to my other projects.

Togami's other projects including going over diagrams and proportions of various Grimm as well as studying the interaction between dust and his semblance to the... discontent of those nearby; fire dust was often a problem to deal with anyway. They should be more understanding. Accidents do happen, you know.

In these past few weeks, human interaction had been limited. If one thing had become clear, it was that he wasn't prepared to deal with what the world really had out there. That night, he sat down helpless, at the mercy of the woman and her dagger parallel to those night as a child...

He would have time to sleep when he was dead. Right now, making sure he could end anyone that threatened him was the priority. His training in using his semblance and his axe in tandem proved effective for keeping mid-air during combat and outmaneuvering his opponents. Despite this development, his dueling scores were still low, as if he wasn't in peak physical condition to fight...

Togami couldn't worry about that now. He needed to get what little food he needed in his system as quickly as possible in order to get back to focusing on his studies.
Hey, my name is Aidan and I am still figuring out who I really am. Most of my views are some form of leftism someone could probably tell me is not leftism. I'm a guy.

Sirina Zezili

Sirina held on to her cane, ready to fight. This conversation that she was listening into was disturbing her to say the least. It was a mix of the students 'kill me' attitude and the teachers assery. The fact that the teacher threatened to kill the student also didn't help.

She listened as the student called the teachers bluff, Risky, but it works she thought before easing her grip and listening closer.

Mentari held in her hands a tray filled with an assortment of typical academy gourmet, all in a balanced and nutritious amount. Looking around, she couldn't help but smile at the sight of the entire room, filled with so many students simply eating and chatting, enjoying the afternoon break before they would continue onto their next class. There were still many people she had yet to meet, and she couldn't help but think about all the possibilities that could occur.

She also enjoyed the uniform she now wore. Sure it wasn't as stylish as Atlas Academy's garb, but it made her feel warm and fuzzy to be similar to the rest.

Hopping into a seat before someone could take it, she noticed she had chosen the spot across from Lucas. "Hey there!" she greeted, tossing a tater tot into her mouth, "what's up?"

Theriam watched from afar, not really hidden, nor really visible.
Just close enough to hear what was going on and with enough sight to read Charlotte well enough.

He was silent, his face had visibly changed, scars could be finally seen on his face due to a fairly rough fight with Leonard, going from his right eye to the left side of his face, barely healed, it had been made recently in an attempt to revive his level with the Ripple forcefully.
Needless to say, it failed, yet not completely, he could still channel it and save his life by healing himself from certain wounds, but didn't have the same striking power or endurance he had before, now, standing around with three limbs broken was a miracle if he could hold it for an hour.

However, his natural strength didn't take much of a toll and remained the same, he still managed to lift several hundred kilograms worth of metal and hold it for quite some time, same goes for his Blacksmith ability, it remained the same in itself.
In combat however, people going against him and even himself could feel that his hits were way lighter than they used to, gone were the days of punching down an armored Ursa down with only one hit.

However, now, his fighting style had changed no longer going for a single blade and body shield coupled with the Ripple, as of these past weeks, his skill became even more obscene, the addition of the Spin made him dozen times more dangerous if someone was to hit him head on, or simply hit his blades.
Learning to channel the Spin through Tusk, his new forged blade, he could make almost any blade recoil from him or even break with enough force, it almost seemed like a drill of sorts.
Yet Miriel was just as deadly, sometimes tricking the opponent into thinking Tusk is the only thing that was defeat them, he often pulls it out to finish the fight in a sudden flash of blazing steel.

One thing he also learned quite quickly with Leonard was the art of throwing knives extremely precisely, whatever the position you were in, hence his newfound leg belt that held dozens of knives hidden under a leg cape that Aria herself designed, it bore a phoenix emblem colored in red and dim orange while the rest of the cape was dark brown.
He also appeared quite a lot more like his age, a good start of a beard had shown itself growing exponentially in the last two weeks, his figure also seemed much more battle hardened, almost giving a hard time to his combat teacher.

He also had grown way closer to Charlotte, although she mainly thought they were friends for now, which wasn't a problem in an of itself, at least he could still protect her if needed, after all, that was his main goal, however, seeing the teacher putting her down several times always put him to the end of his nerves, never showing it to anybody but himself, he wanted to challenge the teacher, yet every time he was about to burst out from where he was to punch the teacher in the gut, Charlotte always put Reina down herself.

No, I won't remember this! I don't want to remember this! I want to forget!

Enough! Make it stop!

"I don't fight for myself, that's true. There's little point in fighting for the dead. I fight to save those who could become like me. And if you are suggesting suicide, I have often contemplated it.

But suicide would be surrendering. Death is losing the war, but suicide is surrender."

She sighed.

"And I might be pathetic. I've been called it before. But if I'm pathetic, think about what people like you are. You only care about people if they make entertaining prey. Which reminds me of someone else you might get along with... hmm..."

Although I'd say he found me entertaining enough.

Yeah, Mom. You tell her off.

Don't call me that.

Why not?

Because it's a lie.

Reina snorted, turning to leave.

"I'll be seeing you in class, Meat."

She pauses.

"Oh, and make sure you keep an eye on your boyfriend. If he's anything like evry other man in this world, he'll try to get in your panties at some point, whether you want it or not."

She turns her head and looks at Charlotte.

"A little something to remember me by."

Reina extends her semblance out onto Charlotte. She draws the hallucination from her own memories. It was when she was young, just starting out on her journey to becoming the person she was now. Memories of a village in flames, surviving a living nightmare only to be abandoned by the one who saved her, and then taken by someone who took full advantage of her.

"You have fun now."
"I don't know everything, just the things I know"

As the hallucination ended, Charlotte's face grew drawn and sad.

"Believe me, Reina, he isn't, nor will he ever be, my 'boyfriend'--I don't love."

She smiled ironically and shrugged.

"I don't know how."

Theriam could help but suddenly cough from the stupidity of the sentence.
Even Jugo was astonished by the sentence in itself, that proved just how much the teacher didn't know about her at all.

Oh wow, seems like she knows a shit ton about you doesn't she?

'Doctor Kekyll and my sides levels of what are being submitted to my ears.
Get in her pants?
That's the least likely thing I'll ever do for the duration of my stay here.
I can't believe she knows so bloody little about me.' His thoughts resonating through his mind, the rest of his team watched from afar as he went to see Charlotte.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Of course, she would probably respond as usual by something akin to the lines of 'You already know this Theriam, stop being such an idiot.'

Yet, to him, it was mostly for courtesy's sake, and to start a conversation safely.
Somewhat safely.

It wasn't so much a question as a statement.

She cracked a smile.

"Did you hear what she called you? She called you my boyfriend. She's such an idiot sometimes, I don't know how she got to be a teacher."

Theriam shook his head with a light smile as he sat down.

"Somehow, I thought you'd be a little more violent responding to my first statement.
Not like I mind it.
And yes, I heard, I was over there the whole time, I mostly read her though.
And to be honest, it's a wonder Ozpin took her in." It wasn't completely a lie in itself, although it was true he now knew about Reina's discussion with Erde.

"By the way, I got a small bit of the Ripple again, I still need to train but I'm getting it back bit by bit.
So no dying for me, at least for now."

If she had been anyone else, she probably would have hugged him.

But she was Charlotte.

She was against the hugging.

She just smiled, a brief, relieved smile.

"Well, that's good to hear."

When Reina was finished with Charlotte, she made her way towards the other eavesdropper, apparently one of the same from the night she had spoken with Erde.

"You. You certainly like to listen in on other people, don't you, Blinks?"

Theriam cocked his head to the side ever so slightly.

"I can also walk on water again, only for a few minutes, but if I run, it's not too much for me to handle.
And only for one minute when I'm doing it in an area of effect to make other people stand on it.
It's good enough though." He explained shortly, making little bolts of electricity course his arm.

"And I got another blade, made by me quite a long time ago, because I thought this could happen somehow.
I have no idea how I foresaw this to be fully honest." He continued, showing the sheath of the new blade semi proudly, it was way fancier than Miriel in form although it was definitely weaker with cutting power, yet among modern swords, it was quite remarkable to make a sword with this level of potential.

"And I got some new techniques to try out when I'll get in a fight again.
Overall, I'm satisfied by those weeks, what do you think?"
