Theriam looked at her with what seemed like sadness.

"Charlotte, stop saying that I don't care, I care more about you than you'd like to think, saying this is only going to worsen everything, you can't just rely on yourself forever.
You can't protect every side all at once by yourself, no matter how powerful you are.
I know this from bitter experience, trust me.
I can't allow you to simply go and get yourself killed." His voice quivered a bit more as he hugged her a bit more.

Theriam took a great inspiration.

'Looks like it's come to this again.'

"I don't care, I don't want to have you dead. I'll prove it to you." He coughed lightly and as it stopped, he took her chin up gently and kissed her with the same gentleness he showed up to now.
However, this time, he would let her pull away if she wanted, he was going to savor this moment, for all he knew, it could be the last.

At first, she just stared at him, her eyes wide.

Then her mind communicated that it wasn't forceful, he wasn't holding her there, it was her choice for once.

She had forgotten anyone else was in the room.

She chose to stay where she was.

She closed her eyes--is that what you're supposed to do?--and enjoyed the moment, the brief feeling of happiness and hope, because in the end, she knew it could never last.

Heamet looked at the scene from beyond the door Theriam hadn't closed.
"So that's how it is... Heh.
You really are a sucker for those in need aren't you bro?
Oh well, as long as she makes you happy, I'm good." He muttered under his breath as he made Theriam's scroll slide up to Charlotte's bed.
Shortly after, he closed the door and collapsed right in front of his dorm room.

"Aaaaah fuuuuuuuck my everything." He groaned before hitting his head a few times against the door, albeit weakly, he managed to enter afterwards.

Theriam on the other hand closed his eyes too, he was tempted to hold her tighter but chose not to and simply appreciated the moment, something he may lose in a few days.

It was a good thing he resisted the temptation...

Because while most of her mind was, for once, calm and at peace, there was still a little girl whispering in the back of her mind...

This is how I started.

The noise woke up Lucas in the night

Blinking a few times, completely still in the dark, he started to make out shapes of people in the room and the door open, and low talking he was too tired to process, and Lucas got pissed off.

He leaped up from laying down, standing up on his bed in a low, fighting stance, his weapon, Storm-sent, in Great ax form in his hand

"YOU A-HOLES WOKE ME UP! I DON'T GIVE A DAMN WHO YOU ARE, GET OUT NOW OR DIE!"
Lucas screamed at the two figures, whom was Theriam and Heamet, the former hugging his captain Charlotte

Meanwhile outside, dark clouds coming from what seemed like no where surrounded Beacon, the wind had started picking up to strong gusts, the deep rumble of thunder and flashes of white light from lightning gave noise to what was a noiseless night.

"Oi." Chess said, her voice full of dread. Usagi's dull edge was faintly touching Lucas' neck. "I understand that theiy're being a dick, but I was almost asleep when you screamed. At the sound of the light landing of Leonard, Erde simply readjusted the flat of the blade in her hand and watched his reflection within the polished metal from the corner of her eye's. His voice however as always grinded on her ears as she sighed still focusing on Renia de Mazelle.

"Indeed you are right; I am far from ready for your tests.
And none of the first years will be able to take you on for now, even my pupils.
However, you know you can't lie to me, you killed them and took the place of the sole survivor of the team."

However Erde lightly shook her head and paid his undue no mind, she had told the truth, it mattered not if he believed her. after all her reputation was what one would always perceived first, this was no different. However she coldly spat back her response with a look of disgust.

"Typical of such a arrogant man... even when I let a piece of my heart free, he still sees nothing but shadow...
How doomed your visage is oh child of man... You judge me when you too are dripping... how foolish for indeed I choose to tell no lies tonight in recourse for a lucky meeting... but go ahead and doubt. It's all your capable of.

But at least as always your true to your value..."

As Erde sadly shook her head with a blank expression as she quickly pushed Leonard out of her mind and focused once more on Reina hearing her word and thinking on them with a delightful smile. and then with a quick raise of her hand in Renia's direction she was about to speak lightly while her eyes lightly twinkled, instead she quickly got to observe watching the teacher whip agilely around and throw something towards the corner of one of the nearby buildings... Of course Erde knew from the wafting smell floating from it that someone was listening in on them.

Night classes?... I didn't know Beacon was so Spartan. Erde thought, but she didn't

"And students who should be doing something else shouldn't be out wandering around during class!"

Students... how mischievous. although she's right they should be quietly in bed by now... maybe I should add a little to further there compliance. It's the least I could do.

Erde didn't speak she just shifted her vision slightly and then made a single cruel smile and she closed two of her fingers and then with further movement aimed her index at Reina while her middle and thump connected... and then let loose the slightest movement once more snapped her fingers.

From beside Erde various swords once more projected and were overwritten into reality as they were transferred from her internal world through her semblance. as she lightly glowed she slight shine showed how numerous the transferred swords were for they now numbered quadruple what she had first summoned against Reina as a hello.
(twenty swords.) however unlike the first five the blades of all them were different showing various designs, some elegant, others plain and all of them sharp and deadly.

The reality however this was nothing more then a diversion for the real usage as sixty similar heavy looking swords opened up and actualized high above Beacon academy by several hundred meters. They themselves were claymores standing at a massive two meters tall and half a foot in length from edge to edge and armed with thick shafts and a razor sharp edge... But if one could see them against the darkness the night sky provided several of them had crystals and strange lines fused within them.
Erde's favorite weapon of mass execution, Explosive swords using dust that would turn to a bomb and shrapnel the moment it hit anything since these claymores were not armored in a throwaway shell covering.

However before she launched any swords, Erde then spoke to garner the attention to herself once more and to the twenty blades that surrounded her, or in truth to simply reply to what Reina-chan had spoken. As Erde then bought the sword in her hand down she lightly stuck the business end into the ground and then spoke as she intertwined her fingers in front of her on its pommel as she visibly relaxed.

"Really; Reina-chan, a teacher... I couldn't have guess it was fact with how short you are... my apologise I misunderstood... i'll be careful with how I address you, I'll have to reclassify you from an Formicidae to a Diptera, congratulation's... you've gained some wings, but that doesn't mean you know how to fly... or stop smelling like fecal matter.

Why you don't like my addressing of you as chan, I heard it was used for people of close measure... or is that not true? I did believe you were once part of the White Fang as I was... oh was that suppose to be a secret... whoop's my bad...

Hear that children, your oh so important teacher was nothing more then a murderous terrorist like me... better be careful she might just kill you like she did her comrades."

Erde then made a extremely mocking smile... she was lightly enjoying this but she was far from over as she sighed and then further continued to answer the supposed record that Reina wanted strait however before she spoke she lightly creaked her body letting the sharp cracks echo especially along her tail to her spine.

"Oh you notice, great I'm glad your self conscious... oh and before you jump any guns and fly off the handle and i'm not talking about your body... I'm insulting your mind... make some friends stop being a child... it might just save you if your placed in a... difficult position."

And then ruthlessly Erde fired off seven of her swords hanging off to her right. Once more they screamed through the air as they sliced apart the wind resistance with a high amount of noise like a loud whistle and then quickly diverged from their head on collusion with Reina and took full aim at the listeners hiding behind the wall like mice. With their speed they would punch through both sides of the buildings wall and would impact and skewer the listeners like kabobs within seconds if they weren't stopped without reckless abandon from the unlucky protector.

Ning stood up, "Sirina, please don't get involved." He said but it was to late, Sirina was already running to the source. "Great. Sorry Togami, but I should go and make sure she doesn't get into trouble." He said with a small bow before running after Sirina.

Sirina had arrived near the fight, and hide behind a corner of one of the buildings. She heard Ning come up beside her.

Togami followed the pair as they took off towards the sounds of a fight breaking out nearby; he recognized the area as the place where he had seen Prof. Silver and the mysterious woman earlier, but the setting had taken a much different tone than before. It had changed from one of companionship to one of aggression and while the par of new arrivals hid behind the corner, Togami had run out into the field to get a better look of the situation and observed the mysterious woman from in battle with Prof. Reina. A series of taps and pokes from the woman, almost as if the two were friends and not combatants, but that thought was quickly quashed as the enemy shot swords screaming through the air following a short conversation. Togami nearly covered his eyes in an epic folly in fear for the bloody ribbons that would become of his teacher. but stayed his gaze long enough to see the blades turn sharply not towards the teacher, but towards Ning and Sirina around the corner and as this realization came to pass, Togami immediately raised his arms into the air and created an aural construct of a wall on the other side of the new arrivals and bent his limbs unto himself, pulling the construct and his peers away from danger and towards himself.

The teen fell to the ground on his knees as the wall dissipated, having served its purpose and wearing out what was perhaps the last of the student still developing aura- the exposition on his abilities earlier had taken too much out of him to created any substantial construct for the rest of the night. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Togami balled his fists. I won't make that mistake again. Always on your guard; never commit folly. I'll only use my semblance when I need to from now on.

Reina watched as the swords streaked off towards the hiding students. True, as a teacher she was supposed to intervene in a such a situation where student's lives were in danger outside of school events. But she wasn't much of a teacher. Placing her life n the line for minimal gain wasn't her idea of a life well spent.

"This is a combat school. Accidents happen," she says callously, watching some sort of barrier appear to block the blades. "It's not like I've ever tried very hard to hide who I used to be, no one ever bothers to ask a teacher if they used to a be a terrorist though, so it hasn't come up in conversation. I came here to become a huntress. I did, but I'll be honest, this isn't what I signed up for. So, tell me why you're here. And tell me why it might be something I'm interested in."

Sorry, Ozpin, but betraying people is what I do best. Give me a good enough offer, an I'll follow almost anyone...

"Yeah..maybe it was a bit loud...I'll try to kick their asses out of this room quietly this time, kay?"

Lucas said, quieter but nonetheless still angry as he pressed his hand against the dull end of Usagi, Chess' weapon and pushed it away from his neck.

"Once again, I cant tell or care who you are, leave now."
He said to the two figures (Heamet and Theriam)

And lifted the great ax, pointing at the nearest target, (Theriam hugging Charlotte)

Meanwhile the storm clouds had fully gathered over Beacon, wind snapping and howling, the clouds thundering like a cannon, with only the flashes of lightning bolts traveling across the sky lighting up the darkness around the school, Lucas was feeling some light exhaustion from the storm he had summoned now, which he had accidentally summoned without thinking, but he had to keep it under his control otherwise the full strength of an untamed storm would havoc Beacon...it could only last so long before he either had to force it's dissipation or let it rage.

Neo ORB wrote:At the sound of the light landing of Leonard, Erde simply readjusted the flat of the blade in her hand and watched his reflection within the polished metal from the corner of her eye's.

"Like this..."

Maybe he was indeed wrong.
Although the teeth in the jar made it seem like so, maybe he let himself get clouded by his own anxiety.

"Well, if say you've told me the truth, no reason not to believe you.
After all, we did have a nice chat back then, no judging each other, no nothing.
Just a nice chat about the past and what was happening currently.

A shame you seem to have forgotten that.
Thought we could've talked again like that." He smiled lightly at her, then sighed as the blade were parried by Togami, giving him a thumbs up before making his Stand appear.

"The World." And so it appeared, yellow, two diving tanks on the back, humanoid in shape, with a diamond shaped helmet and a leg's width of knives on the right leg.

"However, if you're going to attack my students..." He chuckled lightly as he closed his right eye, making the left glow with a purple haze.
"You're going to have a bad time." With that, he entered the fight without his knife for now.

Mentari stepped outside of the bathroom, dripping wet with steam curling off her skin. "I forgot my towel..." she muttered embarrassingly, clutching onto an equally smoky Eclipse. She squinted her eyes slightly as she adjusted to the darkness of her team's room, looking around for her bag. It was then that she noticed that two unknown people had entered the room, of which one was gripping onto a slumbering person. Welp, I better dry off before I call security.

She found the suitcase, and opened it effortlessly with a press of a button, the Nachtmann Tech case working like a charm. She took out her towel, and quickly dried her body before putting her clothes back on, save for the sport's jacket.

"Noooow then, what's going on?" she asked, getting near the two mysterious people and apparently her team captain.

Ning and Sirina

Sirina rushed out from behind the corner and right to Togami as he fell to his knees. She smiled at his heroics.

"You alright?" She asked before turning her attention back to the fight, "Well, no longer hidden, that's bad.... Should probably be ready just encase"

She looked to Ning, who nodded. Sirina then stood with a normal posture, and turned towards the fight, more specifically, the person who was controlling the swords.

Ning on the other hand was ready to burst out of the corner at a moments notice. He may not want to fight, but if those swords where turned on Togami or Sirina, he just knew he would try and protect them.

Sirina smiled, "Hello. New student here, just arrived a few minutes ago. So, I don't know what classes I have to go to, heck, I don't know where I have to sleep."

The emotion was wearing off.

Then it hit her what was going on.

Like, really hit her, instead of getting lost in the clouds of fuzzy and confusing emotions--pain, fear, loneliness, everything she'd lived with for so long.

He's kissing me.

I was scared... and desperate...

Vulnerable.

And he kissed me.

He used me.

She pushed him away, eyes blazing with fury.

"You--you--ugh!" She swiped her hand across her mouth as if to remove any residual traces of the kiss. "You kissed me! Again!"

Yeah, and you didn't do anything about it.

Well, I am now!

"I was vulnerable, and you used that to get close to me! You took advantage of me! I hate you!"

She was screaming now.

"Get out!"

As Theriam let go of Charlotte, he looked at the two people standing menacingly in front of him.

"You twats... It's Theriam... I just heard her scream and I scrambled about trying to get to her...
I calmed her down though..." He opened his right eye fully, revealing its red color glowing dimly in the room, making the people threatening him understand who he was, if they had paid attention to his face.

"However... Due to some reasons I won't share now... Could you leave us alone for a moment please?
Or else, you might have a bad time." He continued his explanation, making his tone suddenly grow darker as his red eye glowed a bit more.

He put his hand in front of his mouth as he coughed up some blood.

"Shit..." Not only did her words hurt him, his own body was turning against him.
"Not the time for this..." He spat blood again as he held on to his shirt, his heart and lungs obviously dying slowly.

"Charlotte, I don't care if you hate me, I don't care what you say right now to be fully honest with you, I just want to say this, these moments may be the last I have with you-" He broke into another coughing fit, even more of the crimson liquid covered his hand.

"Fuck... I'll shorten it...
I just wanted to say that... The moments I spent with you were probably the best of my life...
Thank you for that..." And with that, he blacked out, he couldn't move a muscle, nor even think about anything else than Charlotte and the fact that he failed again.

Only because of his own body.

I...

What?

...the best of his life...

OH MONTY HE'S DYING.

What have I done?

I just told a dying boy I hated him.

If he dies now that'll be the last thing I ever said to him.

Oh, Michael, I hate you... look what you turned me into... why?

Why do bad things happen to good people?

WHY DO I HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS?!

...why does he have to die?

She snapped out of her reverie.

"All of you, as your team captain, I am telling you to go to sleep and forget everything that happened tonight. I'm taking him to the infirmary."

She picked him up--surprisingly she could actually lift him, although it hurt a little--and managed to carry him to the infirmary before collapsing herself.

It had, understandably, been a long, exhausting day, and the events of the night...

It had, understandably, been a long, exhausting day, and the events of the night...

As Theriam was carried off to the infirmary, Ether watched from afar, he was one of the only ones that knew what would happen if he lost the Ripple.
'As I thought, he's dying.
I'll have to fetch Leonard to reactivate his Ripple forcefully since he won't be able to learn it again in the small time span of an agonizing three days.' The faunus thought to himself.

'I'll go fetch him right now, he may take some time though.' Almost immediately, he dashed towards the fight outside.

Some time later

Theriam woke up and looked around.
Cables, red liquid flowing within them, barely keeping him alive due to a small amount of Ripple.
It was probably Heamet's blood.
After all, he had stocked some in phials.
Maybe the nurse had the initiative of transfusing blood from a relative, after all, he still had some Ripple within him.
The small amount that was keeping him alive.

And there, he saw Charlotte, sleeping, her head resting on the bed he was laid in, it seemed that she managed to sleep peacefully this time.
Or at least peacefully enough to not claw her eyes out, as the gashes on her face weren't apparent anymore.
At least, he still knew how to heal, even with something different.
However, as much as he was dying, he felt at peace, if anything, he did manage to get into Beacon.
And as he said to Yuki when he first arrived:

"I don't have any goals." He muttered to himself.
'Henceforth, I can die without regrets.' Suddenly feeling a tinge in his heart, he revised his thoughts.

'At least... I thought I could.' The man continued, staring at the white ceiling.
'I'm still glad I met you Charlotte.'

He tried to move and to his surprise, he could move fairly well.
And since his clothes didn't mess with the instruments, he apparently kept them.
So he tried to stand up, however, he was held down by the cables.

"Guess I can't go yet."

"Awake at night, I search my room;
Awash in tears, I sense the gloom.
The stroke of twelve, the witching hour,
The bells speak of his horrid power."

When Charlotte opened her eyes, she literally fell off the side of the bed. She pressed her hands against the ground to get up, but her fingers slid into something sticky. She lifted her hand and looked at her fingers. Red liquid dripped from the ends, and she frowned. She had bled here, and recently... her eyes widened. It had to be the night. Then she heard something--moaning. Crying. The sounds of suffering. A draft brushed her cheek, cool and moist, and a whisper followed.

"A chime for darkness, two for fears,
Three for tyrant's tortured years;
The tones recount the hurts, the lies,
The tears of grief from captive eyes."

"Will you be my friend?" Charlotte sucked in a breath and froze in place. "I'm so lonely. Will you stay with me?" She screamed.

"I cry, I weep, I can't pretend
This darkest night will ever end.
The morn is but a twisted dream;
O wake me now before I scream."

"No! You're dead! Leave me alone!" The draft stopped, as did the voice, and the moaning returned. The laments grew louder. A new voice bounced into the room, clearly from outside.

"As light and darkness storm and clash,
As swords collide and soldiers thrash,
The nightmare pounds within my brain
Of tyrant's tortures, children's chains."

"Stop fighting!" A man's voice, sharp and angry.

"Alas, my fractures leave me there
To merely stand in awestruck stare.
I give my blood and final gasp
And fall into the reaper's grasp."

"No! Please, please! Don't--" Charlotte couldn't breathe. A grunt sounded. Scratching noises, and then a scream. She peeked outside, and then pulled her head back, feeling nauseous. The scream faded quickly as if carried away by the wind, and silence ensued. She gasped for breath, bowing her head.

"The vultures feast; corruption creeps;
Yet I am but a girl asleep.
The bell then tolls the twelve of noon;
Again I count within my swoon."

Then the lonely girl's voice from earlier spoke again. "Dad," it whispered, "I wish you were here. It's so lonely here in the dark."

"The twelfth leaves echoes strewn about,
Like shattered glass reflecting doubt.
I listen while the echoes fade,
And silence starts a new charade."

Charlotte covered her face and wept.

But that wasn't all, no, there was still more to come.

That was when she felt an odd sensation. Like she was being pulled towards something. Pulled towards the girl lying out in the cold, shivering and bleeding. But then once she entered the girl's body, she was herself again, seventeen years old, but still in the same place, the same position. But then she heard footsteps.
She looked up in fear, thinking her tormentor had returned.

No; it was worse.

Theriam stood in front of her, staring down at her, and she couldn't bear what she saw in his eyes.
She shook her head frantically, reaching out, pleading with him.
"Don't leave me alone! Please, don't leave me here alone again! I'm sorry for what I said, I didn't mean it! Please, Theriam, please, don't leave me here!"
But he just looked at her with those deep eyes and shook his head slowly, sadly, solemnly.
Then he turned and walked away, fading into night...

And once more, Charlotte was alone, weeping in the dark.

He put his hand on Charlotte's head and petted her hair gently.
"Wake up, I'm right here.
I won't leave you, not this way.
And most definitely not right now, I still have to help you, right?"

Charlia wrote:"Awake at night, I search my room;

"A chime for darkness, two for fears,
Three for tyrant's tortured years;
The tones recount the hurts, the lies,
The tears of grief from captive eyes."

"Will you be my friend?" Charlotte sucked in a breath and froze in place. "I'm so lonely. Will you stay with me?" She screamed.

"I cry, I weep, I can't pretend
This darkest night will ever end.
The morn is but a twisted dream;

"The vultures feast; corruption creeps;
Yet I am but a girl asleep.
The bell then tolls the twelve of noon;

The man looked at Charlotte, however, it carried no emotion, nor was it really blank, he just looked at her without feeling anything.
He couldn't feel anything in his body either.

He put his hand on Charlotte's head and petted her hair gently.
"Wake up, I'm right here.
I won't leave you, not this way.
And most definitely not right now, I still have to help you, right?"

Her eyes opened slightly, tearing up, and a small, contented smile appeared.

"Theriam... you baka...

I didn't mean what I said earlier...

I... I'm glad you're still here."

I don't have to be alone anymore.

He smiled weakly at the girl.

"I know.
I won't leave you, not like this.
I won't die right now." He showed a wolf like smile.

"Because you're one of the people I care the most about, and I can't bear to leave you alone."

"I'd prefer it if you said you weren't going to die at all..."

She took his hand gently.

"Because I..."

Just say it!

No... not after all it's done in the past.

Fight it.

Fight it!

No...

It's time...

Time to stop fighting.

"Because... I care about you too."

I still haven't said it...

But that's good enough for now.
