She wasn't use to people doing that and it creeped her out. She blushed heavily when he mentioned changing her shampoo so Jackson will like it. " W-what do you mean by 'Jackson will like it'? I hope you're not suggesting that he likes me, because that would be crazy. Imeanhe'sshortkindascrawnyhe'ssmartbutisntexactlytheleadingtype. There's no way that's going to happen." Avean said angrily as she continued to blush.

'Heh, so easy to see through.' Heamet smirked.

"Suuuure.
Literally everyone in the school and beyond is shipping you and him but you don't even notice it.
Hell, I'm almost positive he likes you even more than I imagine.
Even Leonard's shipping you two.
Just like I can see everyone picturing me with Aria."

Although he wasn't as much of a tsundere as Avena when people confronted him about it.
He'd often say he wouldn't mind it, or that her motherly side was nice.
But he never demented it.

" W-WHAT??!!!" Avena yelled as she whirled around to face Heamet. She reached out and grabbed him by his collar, freaking out. " What do you mean people are shipping us together?! What does that even mean? Do they know? How do they know? Who told them? Was it Chess? Togami? Silvia? Umber? Sirina? Who?" Avena spouted off question after question. She didn't like what was going on at all. Avena let go of Heamet and grabbed her head in disbelief. " I can't believe this is happening! Why me?! Why do I have to have these feeling?! I just want a simple life of nothing but fighting Grimm. Not all of this mushy stuff I don't understand."

'THE KEK IS OVERLOADING!' At this point, Heamet couldn't help but laugh.

'This is priceless!'

"I suppose you haven't really seen him, but I have an agent, invisible, silent and nimble.

He's been spreading the idea for weeks now.
That means they are hoping you guys end up together, and a lot of people like the idea.

Always watching. Ever vigilant. The silent watcher of ...Heamet?

This was... Chesshire Cat. Actually, it was just Chess being, well, Chess. And this boy was making Avena a prime target for some fun. "Fun" was what it was going to be for at least one of them. Whether that was Avena would be up to her sensibilities. But it would be fun for Chess, at least. The spry trainee dropped down from the rafters, landing quietly behind Avena and placed a finger over his lips in the "shh" motion, winking at Heamet as he prepared to ambush the unsuspecting schoolgirl. This would be "fun."

Leika smiled as she pulled out of the parking lot, Adrian in the car. They drove for some time before Leika decided to turn onto a dirt road leading towards a forest. She laughed to herself, she wasn't taking Adrian to lunch. In fact, she wasn't even Leika. The person who was Leika was actually a close friend from long ago. She chuckled to herself with how gullible this kid was. She disguised as Leika after she left to go do some shopping, and she knew Leika wouldn't be back for about three hours. 'Leika' pulled into the forest and stopped the car. When Adrian was lost in his thought 'Leika' revealed who she really was. It was Yamako.

"Wow, I can't believe you fell for that. You are possibly the most gullible person at Beacon. Everyone there knows Leika walks everywhere," Yamako said laughing, whilst pulling out her blade, "Now you are going to tell me everything you know about a certain person. I'm looking for a Togami, and I have a feeling you know what he looks like, considering you're a student at this school." Yamako finished, pushing the tip of her blade on Adrian's neck, just enough to scare Adrian, but not enough to pierce the skin.

"Tell me what you know, and I'll let you free. Don't, well my blade was in need of use." Yamako said, keeping the blade on Adrian's throat.
Stormwrath wrote:Blake and Yang

Aiden was happy about how things turned out to be. They were finally going out to date! Now the next part: where to go. "Hey, I heard a new restaurant opened up near that one dust shop," Aiden described. "You know, the one that got robbed a couple months ago."

What a weird way to describe this restaurant, Blake thought. Couldn't he spare the details for later? Not that she was against places getting robbed or anything. She nodded as he continued to tell her of the place.

"Yeah, I heard from Fabi that the restaurant sells amazing food, and I want to take you there. I'll pay for it all. But if that doesn't strike your fancy we can just walk around Beacon and chat. Either way works for me," he smiled.

Well that was nice of him to do that. Oh! Wait, that must be… Ah yes! Now she remembers! Weiss had just talked about it the other day. Just before Blake could answer, a Yang wrapped in a cerulean towel came out of the bathroom. Her hair was all covered up by another towel wrapped around her head, and a few locks were drooping downwards. Even though the towel was thick, her amazing figure was still accentuated. There were some droplets of water on her face and upper body that was still dripping down. Blake turned red and got flustered, and Aiden may have turned extremely red. Wrong timing, Yang! Wrong fricking timing!

Perhaps it got a tad too awkward in the room. Blake was staring at Yang, and Yang was staring at Blake and Aiden. "Uhhhhhhhhh—" the blonde dragged on. "I'll let myself back in."

Turning her head back to Aiden, she smiled, "That's cool, we can go to Vale at 4:00 if we want."

Aiden's face went from vampire pale to blood red within a millisecond. It wasn't just the fact that Yang just stepped out of the shower, it was more of the fact that Blake agreed to a restaurant date. Also because Yang was basically naked and walked in on the two at the wrong time. But Aiden quickly flushed the blush away and smiled.

"Alright, I'll get you at 3:30. Remember to wear something nice, it is a pretty posh restaurant. See you then." Aiden said, walking back to his room. He opened the door to see Taro talking to a person. He chuckled, Taro was talking to a girl.

Well that might make two of us then. Anyways, I need to talk to Fabi, he's the master of relationships, he can give me advice. Aiden thought, walking over to a distracted Fabi. He was currently listening to music whilst sharpening his bardiche.

"Hey Fabi, I need some help". Aiden said, shaking Fabi. Fabi pulled out his earbuds and looked at Aiden with a smile.

"You got that date?" Fabi asked, rhetorically.

"Yep, we're going to that restaurant at 1600 hours. I'm gonna need help." Aiden said. Fabi just nodded and stood up. He began his Super Fantabulous Guaranteed Successful Dating Advice™. It would take until about 3 o'clock for Aiden's lessons to be complete, but it would be well worth it.

'Twas at this moment that Victoria found Reina. Victoria wasn't even trying to find Reina, as she had given her up for dead when Reina didn't even talk to her within a month, but Victoria was nonetheless happy.

"Reina! I've been so worried about you! Were have you been?" Victoria said hugging Reina, oblivious to whatever was happening. She wasn't paying attention as she just walked to the area. She liked to walk around Beacon sometimes to clear her head and thoughts. It was still good for Victoria to find Reina.

"What have you been up to? Anyways, we need to talk, can we come back to the class to talk?" Victoria asked.

Reina snarled and shook herself free on instinct. Getting hugged so suddenly, and so soon after a run in with Erde, is guaranteed to trigger that kind of response.

"Oum's sakes, Vic!" She growled after calming down and distancing herself slightly. "Don't sneak up on me like that! I'm pretty sure we've covered that at least a dozen times before now!"

She calls herself a bit more.

"And now isn't a good time. Besides, for someone who's supposedly been so worried you sure didn't waste must effort looking for me until now."

Reina says the last part sharply, knowing it should have a rather harsh effect on Vic.

Victoria chuckled to herself with Reina's attempt to cut Victoria's feelings. It was a poor attempt, and Victoria found it funny.

"You say that like I haven't had to do other things, like teach a class you have to help me assist, but that's alright. If you want to go play around and shirk your duties, leaving me to do all the work, that's fine. It's not like you have a dark past that people could find out about. Or the fact that I really need you these next few weeks, because the Vytal festival is coming up soon, and I really need help with some of the things. Please come back and help me. I really do miss you, and I did look for you a lot, but I got so swamped with being a teacher I couldn't really look." Victoria pleaded, taking Reina's hand.

Umber offered a very hesitant wave to Togami as he left. As the hand dropped she-finally-left the library, as she’d originally intended before running into him and Jolana. A corner of her mouth ticked upwards slightly as she walked. With her own restriction to the sounds produced by the collar around her neck and Jolana’s stuttering it was a miracle anything had gotten said, much less understood in her own case, at all during the run-in! Having fifteen words available to ‘speak’ didn’t exactly help make her a sterling conversationalist.

Umber’s smirk faltered and she ran one hand through her hair as she walked. It was at times like this she missed her real voice. She’d come to accept the substitutes she used. She could even appreciate the way they discouraged her from publicizing the more petty and overly-critical thoughts she still caught herself directing at people, like her impatience with Jolana’s stutter or the aggravation she’d felt at Togami’s confusion. But they were still substitutes she was accepting and appreciating rather than the real thing.

Taking a long breath, Umber adjusted the machine at her neck slightly. She was alive and, judging by the rumors and gossip circulating about some of the other attendees of Beacon, she was lucky. Umber’s smirk returned and quickly transformed into a small grin. Her instructors in Atlas had tended to make snide remarks about Beacon’s unorthodox student body. A younger her, a her with a very inflated ego and an overly critical view of others, would have been thoroughly horrified to find herself part of that student body. The older, and hopefully wiser, her she was now had no complaints at all.

Umber passed a trio of students playing keep-away with a Faunus student's notebook. She passed without comment. She could think of one complaint it seemed, but she didn't get to decide who--what?--Beacon let in. Despite the complaint, Umber felt her feet slow and the grin on her face fade. A little bit of playful hazing wasn't much of a problem though, and it wasn't her problem to solve at all. So why did she feel like she'd done something wrong just walking by?

She was probably just hungry.

Jolana passed by the same Faunus being bullied that Umber did, as they were both technically heading towards the cafeteria - Jolana had remembered as she turned away that Lewiston had a class at that time, and his classroom was on the other side of the cafeteria from the library.

For the love of...

Was she big enough to take them on? In combat, possibly. In an unarmed fight? Hell no. There wasn't much she could do besides glare at them judgingly and walk slowly by.

Which she did.

Chess only smiled, and said said few words eerily innocently. "Your shields are down." Letting the words echo and before the other girl could react or decipher their meaning, she moved with unparalleled speed and precision, honed from years of performing pervy things. One hand lashed out reaching for Avena's skirt, while the other effortlessly produced a Scroll and pulled up the camera app. The Master Pervert dropped down, taking the skirt with her and revealing Avena's undergarments, and the camera flew up and there was a flash.

"Sigh, I said Ether, not Heamet.
Though Artol is one.
Or at least that's what I suspect him of being." Heamet spoke, until his ears were pierced by Avena yelling about Chess.

Okay, that didn't seem like it flowed well. But I shouldn't over think it, should I? I don't really know. A team was not what I wanted to be part of when I came here. I wanted to learn about fighting, not be stuck with these people.

As soon as Togami exited the shimmering doors of Beacon and felt his body plunge into the cool evening air, the gravity of the situation began to weigh on his mind. Alright, so in the next few hours, I need to meet with Purnama, apologize to a variety of people, enact the final stages of my plan involving the scroll prototype, and make it back to the courtyard to fight with that woman. The heir bit his lip angrily. If I don't show up to the courtyard, I could get myself, or worse, my classmates, put in harms way. If I tell anyone, I also put them in harms way. His hands clenched turning knuckles white with fear, and a slight gulp sounded from the boy's throat. He knew what must be done.

The teen continued towards Vale, the sun setting on this glorious day, when he took out his Scroll and typed a message to Purnama.

Code: Select all
In Vale. Text me when free.

In the mean time, I can take care of a few loose ends and prepare for my... confrontation. He passed a familiar corner right into the diner that he had come to with Ning the day before and strolled to the counter. "Excuse me, I was in here with a friend earlier and I was wondering if the same waitress was still working here."

"She just got off, but I think she's in the back." The owner replied. Togami nodded.

It was not long before he was standing in front of the back exit, waiting patiently for the woman to exit. Yelling could be heard faintly from the kitchen, and it wasn't long before a weeping form of the waitress exited the establishment. "Hello?" The teen asked it like a question more than a greeting.

The waitress kept her head faced partially to the side, impairing her own perception of the boy. "I have a weapon." She stated frankly.

"So do I?" Togami began, but thought better of it, "I came into the shop yesterday and I-"

The woman recognized him and soon fury flashed across her cheek. Her hand did not hesitate to begin flogging him. "You're an ass!" She said before hurrying along. Togami followed.

"Nono- you don't understand!" Togami called out to her, but she had already gone. He sighed and placed the wad of cash he had intended to give to her back into his pocket. I hope the rest of my deals go better than that.

The teen checked his scroll before heading towards one of the few dust shops still open.

The sreading flames crackled in her ears as a memory, her worst one continued to torment her... the candles on her cake knocked into the air as beowolves pushed into the house. The sounds of screams and the vivid wet splash as crimson marked her bod once again. The dying weight of her mother. The feel of fire and pain where an arm no longer exists. Suddenly but quiet almost like a whisper against the crackling flames flows through.
"That's enough... little girl, your causing a scene..."

She could see the Beowolves approaching her, its killing intent rolling like a wave on the coast line. this was it, she was going to die... mauled, turned to dust and brought to inexistence. With her dying vision, the world was being filled with black, changing into the empty, and scary darkness, or it should have been as a small shimmer of silver passed by, and soft pressed against her shoulder blade as a maddening killing intent once again froze her in terror surpassing that day.

That's enough... little girl, your causing a scene..."

And then just like how she had woken up on the days after she had lost everything. The unending darkness was gone but she was just as empty, and slowly Yukis eyelid quivered apart, sudden light blinding her which made her face lightly change from pain as it slightly scrunched. But as the light filtered in and her eyes became accustomed to the ambient light, Yuki could see that her vivid memories had been replaced by a ceiling of white and the familiar smell of antiseptic and the feeling of being turned over and over from dizziness... Slowly as her empty purple eyes lightly moved around she could see blurry silhouettes by her side. It was then as her equilibrium started coming back and as the images cleared she could see faces she had known. However it was then that she felt something odd, a certain wetness soaking her lower half as the flood of events flushed once more into her mind... and that voice forced her to start shaking in terror as her eyes widened fearfully.
Slowly without a hint of sound, her left hand started to move under the sheets towards her face until her fingers collided lightly with the side of her head and then like being possessed her terror re-awoke as a fearful, painful and unholy scream roared out from within Yuki as she begun to violently thrash about trying to get out of the bed while looking for the white baton stuffed away in her locker.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH..."

As Erde heard the bird announce his name, it took every fiber of her internal being to keep herself having a straight face as in the smiling one she had held before the boy had given his identity. However Erde as she stared at him with that smile she suddenly found herself staring at least with her eyes dearly at the boy and lightly sighed internally, could she really trick this boy... Especially "This" boy who had ties to that which Erde held most dear... She wanted to confirm it. To know that if it was true she would have to make a choice on her deception, to be resolved on either to following through on her plan, or pulling out when she was so close to the peak of her little operation.
As Erde struggled internally she found herself as she stared at this "little brother" and found herself suddenly annoyed at him... he was letting his guard down... because of the sweet nectar known as "Comics" which she was secreting towards him like a bee to a open flower in the mid of spring.

And so Erde made her choice... this dear "little brother" needed a lesson... one which would be undoubtedly cruel in its content... but she needed a revision, a stalling for the trap to be laid to bare successfully with hopefully no backtracking to herself. It wouldn't take too long to set up such a trap with her "pets" help after all he only had to lug a few crates of comics from one end of town to another, arrange a few rooms and build display cases and then prepare the trap for her arrival and hide in the security room and lock the doors...
It shouldn't be that hard right?...

As Erde stared still at the boys she lightly chuckled and then reached out her open hand a little more and gentily spoke.
"So, I can take this maybe as we have a deal?, if so, i'll leave this briefcase in your care and you can report to me in a.... hmm a week should be enough for thirty five limited and autographed issues. Well in any case depending on your pricing or sales, then I can then show you the full collection."

Leif Spruce

Holy shit, she was totally losing it! The first mention of Jackson and Avena's cheeks flustered with a bright red. She reasoned that Jackson was a short and scrawny guy who wasn't very great at leading. While the latter was true about Jackson, he was hardly a midget. In fact he was the tallest member of the team—around an inch or two taller than the others. Heamet also told that everyone is already pairing the two as a shipment, which made Avena freak out even more.

Oh shit. Leif slowly backed away from Avena and began to sneak his way out of the infirmary. In reality it was him that went and suggested to people that his two teammates are an item. After all, it was all so obvious on Avena's face! She likes Jackson! Hopefully he can get out in time before she finds out and well, he's screwed. Not in that sense, sickos. *coughs* Anyways…

Well, at least he was planning to leave the infirmary in order to evade Avena's possible wrath, at least until Chess showed up and scared the shit out of Avena. "Agh!" Leif shouted as well. That was until he finally saw who was the person who did that. "Oh, hi Chess!" he waved.

It all escalated quickly when Chess pulled a rather sick move on Avena by pulling down Avena's skirt and revealing her boxers. "It's not like he'll take a photo of you," Heamet reacted.

That was when a flash came from Chess's scroll, thereby rendering his statement irrelevant. Leif did not know how to retort to Heamet—that just did it for him. "Seriously, how did you get past us?" Leif asked. After all, he assumed that there were two people that just went outside. "A-and Jackson? Wasn't he outside with that older lady?"

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

An unholy scream came from Yuki as she violently got out of bed. She must have had a hell of a nightmare. Leif was greatly startled and took a few steps back from her—he feared she might try to turn him into a popsicle again—and perhaps everyone else was startled as well. "Ah!" he gasped. "You're awake."

The nurse had heard her scream as well and rushed to her bed. "Miss Marin," she tried to get her to calm down. "Take it easy, okay? Take it easy. Just calm down."

Jackson Silver

Malidia seemed to be unsettled after Jackson said his name. Was there something he said? The smile that she had held on her face didn't look like it was going to be held for much longer. Was it because it had something to do with him being related to Adelaide? Was it because he was coming off a bit flippant back at the library? She stared of a little longer until she decided to break the silence.

She chuckled and asked if they have a deal. Looking down at the ground and then back up at the ceiling, Jackson sighed. Well, if she needs help of anything like that, then why not? She wanted to give her comics away, and perhaps he might get some of them too. Slipping his right hand out of his pocket, he extended his hand for Malidia to shake.

Blake Belladonna

She smiled and waved, "Okay. Bye." Ah, a date. Well, there she was. Out with this guy, on a date in the middle of Vale. Well, she should be getting ready by now, after all she wouldn't want to be late. Actually, Aiden was the one not supposed to be late—she hadn't heard about men being fashionably late—nor were those kinds of late being looked highly upon.

When she turned around and was about to return to the study desk, there she found a Yang that was smiling with the widest grin she ever had on her face. Blake was a bit confused. "What?" she asked in order to break the awkward silence. "What's wrong?"

Spreading her arms out the widest that she could, Yang bear-hugged Blake the tightest that she could. "Oh my god, I am so proud of youuuuu!"

"Uhmmm, Yang…" Blake attempted to try to get out of her hug, but she failed. The more she struggled to get out, the more the hug grew tighter. "Please, stop. Can't… breathe…"

Once Yang let her go, she then held her in the shoulders and leaned in towards her face. Blake pulled back a little, thinking that Yang was going to kiss her. But Yang just whispered, "I heard everything."

"E-everything?" she blushed a little. How was Yang able to overhear stuff going on outside the shower?

Yang nodded. "Everything." Grabbing Blake by the hand and pulling her towards the closet she said, "I should help you get ready! Come on, you got a lot of nice dresses in the closet, right?"

"Sure but— aah!" she was interrupted by Yang yanking on her arm.

For the next couple of hours, Yang pulled out clothes from Blake's closet and found some that would look good on her. She then told her teammate to put those on for her to judge. First up was a green cardigan with denim jeans and sneakers. Great for dates, Yang scratched her chin, but then decided perhaps Blake should be in other clothes. Next was her in a summer dress, which was also a no. Then there was her in a bright pink shirt that exposed part of her midriff and a hole that exposed her cleavage, along with minishorts. Blake was blushing a bit from this really revealing outfit. "Yeahhhhhh," Yang waved her hand around. "Too revealing. Are you really going to keep that bow on?" she asked.

"Of course," Blake shrugged. "Why wouldn't I wear one?" Of course, in reality this wasn't because Blake wouldn't be Blake without her bow, but because she was actually hiding her Faunus identity from the others. She didn't want anyone to know that she was Faunus, or that she used to be a member of the White Fang. But the White Fang wasn't the real issue here, it was her dress for the date!

"Ummm, Yang," she pointed out, "I think he said that the place we're going to is a fancy restaurant so I think I should—"

"Oh!" Yang stopped her there. Lucky her, she gets to go to such a place! "Say no more, I've got the perfect one for stuff like that. Hold on a minute."

She went through the closet, hoping to find something that she had in mind. Her fingers came between the dresses and shirts, and so far nothing could be found. It must be around here somewhere… Aha! This would do nicely, very nicely. She pulled it out of the closet and said, "This one!"

Blake was stunned. "Where… where did you get this? It's—"

Yang stopped her again—she need not hear how pretty it was. "At a certain store in the middle of Vale, had been saving this for when I go out on a date. But since you were lucky to get one earlier than me, I'm gonna let you borrow it just for today. Okay?"

"Okay," she smiled and nodded.

"Now, let's try it on to see how it looks on you!"

And it indeed looked lovely on Blake. Yang was just staring at her and the dress with wide and open eyes that glinted. It appeared that she was frozen right there. "What?" Blake tilted her head down and looked at the dress. "Does it look good?"

Yang was at a loss for words. "I… I had no idea you'd look great in this!" She immediately came to her and hugged again.

As Heamet's ears became even more pierced, he grew increasingly annoyed.

"Yuki, I will give you ten seconds to calm down until I pin you down by force.
Talk about a great eighteenth birthday...
Ears pierced several times and arm pierced as well. Golly what a great day." He sighed, not even keeping his word on the ten seconds he'd alloted for Yuki to calm down, instead, he created several, weak barriers to hold her members, neck and waist down.

"Too bad, changed my mind.
However, I see that someone didn't heed my warning." He looked at 'Malidia' with his usual smile.
However, this time, he was possibly more serious than ever.

"I'll say it again." His tone became hammering again.
"Leave the girl, right now. You are obviously a hindrance to her mental health."

Purnama was visibly touched inside, though it somewhat looked like mock surprise. That's actually rather nice of you, Mentari.~ The girl just smirked and continued digging into her food gracefully.

Moments later, she felt something vibrating in her pocket. Pulling out her scroll, the words haunted her slightly as her eyebrows furrowed.

Clover had lost track of where Mr. Murasaki had headed off to. It saddened him really, but there was nothing he could do about. Thus, he decided to find his teammates, of whom he would lead in upcoming missions. Who's idea was that anyways? Since when did a servant lead others?

Especially Ms. Valenhart. I hope she's not angry at me for being in a higher position than her.
Clover shuddered, but his aimless walking had proven to be a stroke of luck, as he found one of his friends, Elizabeth. The only other person he'd met so far who was also actually a boy but dressed like a girl. It made him feel a bit warm in his heart that someone took an interest to such activities, though it did seem odd that Leo preferred female pronouns...

Shaking the thought aside, he greeted her. "Ms. Redwooood, what're you up to now?"

Before Avena said another word, a blood gurgling scream pieced the air. She whirled around and saw that the scream came from Yuki. For some reason, she woke up and started freaking out, possibly from a nightmare. The entire scene left a bad taste in Avena's mouth. It was a serious case of déjà vu that she did not want to relive. She rushed to the edge of the bed, right as Heamet restrained her. " What's going on? What's wrong with her?" Avean yelled, not helping the situation.

"Avena please, shut the fuck up, or else I'm making everyone but the nurse leave the room.
I'm bloody serious, don't make me use my semblance." He looked at her dead in the eyes, with a burning, yet repressed fury.

"That goes for everyone in the room.
She's having a fit due to a mental trauma. If everybody could calm down and obey to what I'm saying, it'd be great. And it'd help her way more."

"Or perhaps I am simply new and have not yet had time to learn the differences between people. As for your demand, you're going about it entirely the wrong way. Had you simply asked me what you wished to know without the threat of violence," he said calmly, "you would have learned it quickly and with no trouble at all. However, since it is clear you desire harm to this Togami, I'm afraid that even had I known, I wouldn't tell you." He folded his hands calmly in his lap, and closed his eyes, waiting for the bite of cold steel.

Sonitusia wrote:"Wha? Of course not!" Mentari replied frantically, "I still wanna spend time with you, and as team captain, it should be fine if you come along anyways."

Purnama tapped the 'ground' with her foot, saying, "Are you sure it's alright? I mean, you said yourself that this stuff is illegal, wouldn't you think that Charlotte would be suspicious?" Mentari hummed back, replying, It'll be fine, I don't think she'd want to discuss it anyways, seeing as how...

"...It's something to do with Togami, you know, that guy."

"T-Togami?" she actually stammered, her face flushing a deep red with a recalled memory of fury and shame. Oh, Monty. No. No. No. I'm okay. I'm fine. Don't freak out here. It's... it's okay.

"...W-why would you have any business with him?" The word was dripping with hatred... and... sadness.

"Like you said, it's just business..." Mentari replied, a faint sign of anger in her tone, "...between a Nachtmann and a Murasaki. Our families have crossed paths a few times in the past as I've learned. All of which strictly non-personal."

She drained half of her tea before continuing, "I can understand your... feelings toward him, so if you don't want to be directly present, it's alright."

They say that in the great wars of NS Summer, there was one who did not fight with blood, but with iron. They named this one the Master of Tanks, and the thunderous sound of cannon and the rattling of machine guns could be heard far and wide, the crossroads before the capital of CotM being defended by this valiant one until it stood alone. Shitposters layed in droves, and entire army having been slain by the might of Sonitusia, Master of Tanks, Commandant of Iron, and Slinger of Shells.

"No..." Charlotte clenched her fists in her lap, not even registering how odd it was that Mentari would know how she felt about Togami--It's not as if she knows what he said to me, does she?

"I'll be there," she said slowly, her voice almost threatening. "If I don't start by confronting the little people, when it comes time for the final battle, I'm sure to lose everything."

I won't lose everything. Not again. Never again!

Mentari half smiled, saying, "I do hope you keep proper etiquette. As much as someone might despise another, business is to be kept formal."

She called for the waitress, who came over, still smiling. "Yes, m'lady? Shall I offer a dessert platter?" Mentari shook her head. "Thank you, but we've had our fill. I'd like the bill," she replied. The waitress bowed and walked off, returning with the receipt kept in a folder-like apparatus. Looking it over, Mentari took out a credit card, placed it on the screen of her scroll, and the transaction was complete. All that was needed was a signature, which she scribbled down and the waitress once more bowed.

"We hope to see you again."

Mentari stood up, walking around the table and offering her hand to Charlotte. "Shall we, Lotte?"

Charlotte took her hand cautiously, and nodded.

"All right..." She frowned to herself. Proper etiquette is not taking assumptions and then deciding that someone else is... is...

No! I can't think it. I won't.

How silly, considering... You know it's true, you stupid girl. No! NO! It's not true. It can't be true. It wasn't my fault!

You just keep telling yourself that.
