Ning Kohkahycumest

Before Ning could say anything, Lilybet was hugging Togami. She was always in tune with the feelings of others. he thought as he looked at them.

"Father says that it's alright to cry when things make you upset..." She said as she placed her head on his shoulder, "No one will blame you if you cry..."

Ning then looked to his uncle whose head was looking down. If it wasn't for the lowered head, one would think everything was fine. But the lowered head was proof that his uncle did not expect that news, he watched as a tear hit the ground.

Ning then turned back to Togami and Lilybet, "Lilybet.... You might want to give Togami some space... Unless he doesn't mind."

Lilybet nodded and let go of Togami and returned to Ning's lap. Ning placed his hand on Togami's shoulder, "You okay?" He asked with care.

Wolf Industries VTOL Bravo-42
In the skies above Beacon:

"So, do you know this Ozpin guy?"

Jack looked up at Lilith. "Know him? Not really. We might have met a while ago, but probably only in passing." He shrugged. "It doesn't really matter. He knows we're coming, and if he doesn't know why, we'll inform him. Simple as that."

Lilith snorted. "If you say so. It's gonna be hard to convince people at peace that there's a threat we need to build an army to fight."

Jack nodded. "True, but we don't know if there is a threat at all. This is merely a preemptive measure." He turned to the pilot's cabin. "Pilot, take us down."

The pilot nodded, and spoke into the radio. "Beacon, this is Bravo-42, we're landing with Mr. Reilly plus one." The VTOL descended, then landed in front of the school. As the rear opened, both Jack and Lilith exited the cabin and waited for the greeting party.

Squeaks just squeaked and kind of squirmed around, causing Leika to giggle. She then set the baby Ursa down, who returned to running about. She then sighed.

"Poor thing is going to die soon. I can't be negative enough to keep it alive. And soon it will turn to killing, like all Grimm do. I just wish I could keep him longer, I love him. He's so cute and sweet." Leika said, tears filling her eyes. She then wiped her eyes and walked towards Adrian.

"Well, it's nice to meet you anyways. I also see you're a winged faunus too. I was hoping to meet someone like that soon; I didn't want to feel left out." Leika said, opening her wings slightly.

"I see," he said, bowing again. "I am pleased to meet you, Professor Leika." He spread his own wings, allowing the hints of glossy purple and blue to shimmer in the black feathers.

"If you don't wish to... ah... dispose of the creature when its time comes, I would be willing to take care of it, unless you would prefer to do it yourself, which I suppose I can also understand. It doesn't know me, and having you by its side would make its passing easier. It doesn't need to be painful, though..."

"No, I'll let him do what he wants, until the time comes. Then I'll do it. He's my responsibility, and I'll see to it that I take care of him. Anyways, who's all in your team?" Leika asked Adrian, petting Squeaks on the head. Meanwhile, Adam was walking through the halls at the time when he heard Adrian and Leika's voice. He walked in and saw Leika with Squeaks and Adrian.

"Hey, sorry to interrupt, but I need Adrian for a moment. Also, I recommend not letting Ulfric see that thing. He'll kill it right then like it should be." Adam said, a twinge of disgust in his voice.

"It doesn't deserve to die. It's just a baby, and he's done no wrong. He's more innocent then you or me, and I'll never let him die a baby. And I want to keep talking to him. I've never met another winged faunus until now, and you're not taking him from me. If you have a problem with that, you can bring it up to Ozpin, but I'm not standing down to you, you ruffian" Leika rebutted, angry. She would defend Squeaks to the death, and she wouldn't back down to anyone. Not even Ulfric. Adam was taken aback by Leika, is this what Cinder met when he brought up Leika? He made a mental note to take care of Leika if the need arised. Until then he just simply bowed.

"My apologies, I will procure him later. Until then, I will be in my classroom Adrian." Adam said before walking off. As he walked through he halls he began thinking.

If Leika is so willing to defend a Grimm, who knows what else she's up to. I mean, Cinder's doing it because she's following orders, but Leika isn't connected to Cinder at all, so it doesn't explain why she's defending a Grimm. What is she planning? Adam thought as he walked into his classroom.

"Yeah, who are you? If you're looking for Aiden, he's not here. He left to Atlas to get better. If you're looking for 'Mr. Right-Guy' he's here." Eardwulf said with apathy in his voice.

"I prefer 'Mr. Bushido'; brute. If it's for me, let me talk to her. I have some tact." Taro said, still wearing his mask. He never took it off, and Aiden's team began to question. He never gave an answer, he just said that it was a Bushido thing, and they accepted it for the most part.

"Yes, who are you?" Taro asked, more kindness in his voice.

In a forest somewhere.
The bushes near the edge of the forest rustled. Something was coming through, and it was moving fast. Suddenly, a woman appeared out of the bushes, scarred and wearing tattered clothes. She looked around and smiled.

"Finally I'm out of there. Now to find my sister." The woman said, immediately heading to Beacon.

Aria almost jumped back several meters when Eardwulf suddenly opened the door.

'Absolutely huge. Scary, scary, scary! This one is scary!'

"Well I was thinking I would've checked on the person that fought Ulfric, but since he's not here...
I guess the only reason I do have is that I wanted to get a look at one of the teams I knew next to nothing about.
But as far as to know what I wanted to ask you, well I'm afraid to say I don't even remember..." She giggled in embarrassment then looked at the two people again.

"And I'm already being kicked out, am I not?" However, despite what she had just said, her smile didn't fade, it was honest and bright.

"Sorry about my friend, he's just a little brash. Anyways, come on in. You're fine, just come in and take a seat." Taro said, opening the door more. His helmet gleamed in the sun, revealing it had golden inlays. Another thing one could tell from the scratches in the helmet that he wore this for everything. It threw people off with how he basically lived in that thing, but he did.

"Would you like some tea? I just finished brewing up some tea." Taro said, leading Aria inside. He handed her a cup of tea and sat on his pillow, legs crossed.

"I do not believe we've been acquainted. What's your name?" Taro asked, looking at Aria.

Which would be a poor idea... Wait. I don't like the way he said 'procure' me... Oh, it's probably just a figure of speech.

"That was... quite impressive," he said, "The way you stood up to him like that. I'll admit I didn't expect it."

No, that's silly, Grimm can't feel love. Anyways, I'm free for a while, wanna go get some food? I'm really hungry and could go for some food." Leika said. She grabbed her purse and put Squeaks in his cage under her desk. Before Adrian could respond, Leika grabbed him by his hand and led him out to her car. She was still feeling pretty pumped from standing up to Adam, and she wasn't thinking about what she was doing. She led Adrian to her car before she realized what was going on.

"Oh, I'm so sorry about what I did, I just got so wrapped up in my thoughts. Please forgive me." Leika said, blushing heavily.

Jackson Silver

"I see…" He wasn't very convinced at how the information will be handled—especially since she seemed to have some ulterior motive with it—but, it was for improving how the schools taught their students, so might as well roll with it.

Malidia immediately produced a form and envelope and quickly putting it into his uniform. "Whoawhoawhoawhoawhoa no," he reacted by stepping back. Jackson's cheeks turned red out of embarrassment. To him she was being too touchy-feely. Pulling the envelope out he stared at it for a few seconds, and saw that it was actually the survey form she had. He muttered, "You know you could just hand the form to me like normal, right?"

She made have noticed some kind of comic that Jackson was carrying—an issue of Elan. "Oh I know that one," she remarked.

"This?" Jackson took a moment to look at the comic book in his hand. "Oh yeah, the library has some of these around."

The woman then related that she had once read some Elan in the past, and that the copy that was in her hand—a special edition with the signature of the author on the cover—was what she bought for her little sister who passed away. She also commented on her large collection of comics, and that she wanted to sell some of them off to interested customers. Finally, she spoke the clincher of her proposition: she needed Jackson's help with selling these.

She handed Jackson the comic for him to browse through, and he dusted off some of the dust from the cover. He couldn't believe it—he was holding the limited edition of Elan Chapter 36—one that was only available in Atlesian retail stores! He flipped through the pages, and could see that there were some parts of the comic that wasn't present in other copies. How did she get her hands on that? Great Monty, she was giving this away? This would be of so much value, especially as a collector's item! Then again, it would be soooo awesome for him to get his hands on one of those comics, especially since he was building a collection of his own. And if he sold some with her, probably she would give part of the profits to him so he could buy more comics!

"Would you like to hear more?" she smiled.

He glanced at the comic again before closing the book. "Well, you have certainly got my interest," he returned it to Malidia. "What's in it for me?"

"AVENAAA!!!"

Before Malidia could answer, his fox ears tingled. He heard Carmina screaming in a high-pitched and terror-stricken voice. Oh no, he bent his head down. "Ummm, can we continue this talk later?" a more anxious tone showed.

Carmina Birch

After helping Frost dry himself, she immediately made her way to the library to meet up with the rest of her teammates. By then they would've gotten really into the books—or gradually dozing off to sleep from reading. Man, that guy can't hold still, she thought. Entering the library she first noticed that it was already a bit hotter than usual in here. She could feel her blazer uncomfortably warming her body—how was everyone able to ignore the heat in here? Sighing to herself, she began walking towards the bookshelves, but something stopped her from doing so.

She could spot Avena and Leif over at a certain table, and Yuki opposite them. Oh! there they were, but where was Jackson? Wait a minute, something was wrong. The temperature was dropping around the table, and the puddles on the table were attracted to Yuki's arm, forming a giant claw out of crystalline ice. Seeing the icy hand come down at Avena and Leif, Carmina was panic-stricken and ran towards them—for they were about to be crushed. "AVENAAA!!!" she yelled at the top of her lungs.

The claw came down, and Avena and Leif dodged out of the way—but not without Avena gaining some cuts made into her chest. Leif was clearly horrified from what just happened. After all, Yuki just manifested a giant claw out of nowhere—how the fuck wasn't anyone going to be terrified by this? "Ahhhhh!" he screamed and stammered. "I-I-I-I-I don't want to become a Leif Spruce snow cone, or a block of ice!"

"Oh my god, Avena!" Carmina came to her side. "Are you okay?"

She could see the tear that was made through her school uniform, and the blood that was oozing out of her wounds. The redhead glared at Yuki and shouted, "Yuki! What the fuck!? That was totally uncalled for!"

"What happened?" Jackson finally arrived at the table. There he could see everything—the giant claw, an injured Avena right next to Carmina, and Leif already in his battle stance.

Theriam also showed up as well, and attempted to calm the ice princess down, reminding her that they were in a library. Avena thanked him for coming to the rescue, but then she slowly stood up, pressing on her cuts. "I don't know what I did to cause this attack, but I'm not taking pity on you," she began to confront Yuki in a more serious tone. "My words are sincere, trust me, I would never lie to a friend. You are strong, crazy strong to be a huntress, and I should know. If you want to blow off some steam, I'll be glad to fight you—as long as it will help you understand what I'm talking about."

"No," Carmina held Avena on her shoulder. "You should get yourself patched up.

The redhead was very pissed. Getting up on the table, she grimaced at Yuki and stared her in the eye. Clenching her right fist she rashly declared, "I have no idea why you did that to Avena here, but you mess with her or any of my chums, you mess with me. If you want a fight, you got one, bitch."

"What!?" Jackson didn't want this.

"Jackson," she turned her head before he could continue. "You and Leif should get her to the infirmary. Now."

Leif nodded and assisted Avena on the way out, and Jackson followed the two along.

Blake and Yang
OOC: It's about a month since the duel happened.

A cool and pleasant summer breeze blew into the room from the outside, and Yang could feel it blow lightly against her face. Ah, that was good. Today was quite a scorcher, and droplets of sweat were dripping down her body. The only thing that kept her cool for this long was the bubblegum-flavored popsicle that she had pulled out of the fridge minutes ago—and finished off. Yang was in practically nothing but her damp gold-colored bra and her denim mini shorts today, since it was hot in Vale—not that Blake would mind. After all, Blake was busy studying her notes, occasionally glancing at the doodle she did of her former mentor, Adam Taurus—and would care less if Yang was too revealing.

The two were the only ones inside the room, as Ruby and Weiss were in class. Boredom and the summer heat were working together to make them idle. Once the breeze passed, and the room was turning hot again, Yang groaned. "Ughhhh god," she plopped onto Weiss's bed and lay down face up, spreading her arms outwards—sometimes glancing at the popsicle stick in her right hand. "I'm melting. Heeeeeeelp."

Blake seemed apathetic of her teammate's predicament with the weather. Oh come on, Yang was getting a little upset. Doesn't she know it's a scorcher? "Blake," Yang tried getting her attention again. "Blaaaaaaake. BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE."

And Blake thought Yang's sister was the annoying one… "What?" she responded, clearly irked by her teammate.

"Help me…" she reached her arm out for her. "I'm turning into waterrrrrrr… Don't you care for your teammates, Blake?"

My god, Yang was making herself look droll. Blake wasn't going to put up with this, nu-uh. She sighed and reluctantly got off her chair, heading for the fridge to find something to get Yang to shut up. She pulled out another popsicle and gave it to Yang. "Here you go."

Her friend got herself up and placed it in her mouth. She didn't like this flavor, since it was sweet cheese. "Ugh," she immediately pulled the popsicle out. "You know I don't like this flavor."

"At least you're going to cool off," she quipped peevishly.

A knock sounded from the door out of the blue. Who could that be at this hour? Blake headed towards the door while Yang just placed the popsicle back in her mouth, moving it back and forth and feeling the ice cream melt on her tongue. Oh god, that was good—screw it tasting like super-sweet milk and cheese. Blake opened the door, and on the other side was Aiden. Her eyes slightly dilated. "Oh um, Aiden," she said to him. "What are you doing here?"

"Huh?" Yang pulled out her popsicle and leaned forward to see who was at the door. "Oh hey!" she waved her right hand wildly. "How's the arm coming along?"

Some of the melted ice cream splattered onto her breasts by accident. Staring down at them she remarked, "Whoops. I totally forgot I was eating this, hehe." Standing up she grabbed a towel and said, "I'm gonna go take a shower."

"Sure," Blake replied.

Yang entered the bathroom and began to take off her clothes one by one. Her bottoms came off, and her bra was tossed into the sink. She was as bare as a newborn baby. Stepping into the shower she closed the door and turned on the blue tap. Cold water came out of the shower head and soaked her body from head to toe. "Ahhhhh," she exhaled. "This is soooooo goooooooood." Her golden hair was lathered with a sweet-smelling shampoo, and she scrubbed her body all the way 'till there were masses of bubbles all over her—the bubbles covering much of her body, and keeping those really important things out of the sight of God, Monty, Salem, or whatever gods Remnant clings to.

Professor Ozpin

"Roger, Bravo-42, this is Beacon tower, you are clear for landing."

The dropship slowly descended until it landed on the pad softly. A certain seal was emblazoned on the ship's side, indicating that a certain someone was going to make an entrance here. Ozpin just stood there up in his office, gazing at the courtyard in the distance as a greeting party came over to meet them. He sipped from his coffee mug like he always does and just continued to stand where he was. The elevator sounded, and he turned around and said, "Come in."

Theriam sighed and looked at the three girls and the obviously rising tension.
However, after seeing that Avena was being carried out, he threw a knife at Carmina's feet.

"Not on my watch.
We are in a library, I'd like it if you two could take it elsewhere.
Or not take it at all.
Lass, I'd recommend you'd calm down, right now.
Unless... You want to have a bad time." And as he said that, his eye started emitting a red haze, just like when he was always fighting.

"But don't misunderstand me, I'm going to be giving both of you a bad time if you don't stop right now.
I'd like to read in peace." Normally, Theriam would've pulled out his blade, however, this time, he simply had several handfuls of knives at disposal.

Oooooh boy.
This is going to be grand.

"I told you Yuki.
Avena's team was right there.
Yet you still go and make such mistakes.
Looks like you still have a lot to learn about environment.

Then Adam Lewiston showed up and asked for him, which was confusing, but not nearly as confusing as Leika--who had seemed meek and quiet--suddenly stood up to Lewiston like he'd suggested they implode the school.

Which would be a poor idea... Wait. I don't like the way he said 'procure' me... Oh, it's probably just a figure of speech.

"That was... quite impressive," he said, "The way you stood up to him like that. I'll admit I didn't expect it."

"Thank you, I'm not used to doing that myself, but I had to. I love Squeaks too much, but I wish I could just domesticate him. Maybe if I show him enough love.

He simply inclined his head calmly. "No need to apologize. The person who is lost in their own thoughts is the one who has thoughts to be lost in, and intelligence is nothing to apologize for."

It might have sounded like flirting, but it was really just how he talked.

"Hmm? Are people getting into fights?" Arrietty poked her head around the corner, smiling cheerfully. "I don't really think that's such a good idea," she continued in her musical voice. "Save it for fighting Grimm, mhm? After all, if we go around cutting people into pieces, that'll make a lot of other people very upset--'it's a very few who love death'," quoting one of her old songs. "Let's all just stop trying to kill each other, okay? Can we all do that? Or do we have to fight?"

"Heh.

But we can stop it by chitchat, might as well." He retrieved the knife he had thrown before going back to his seat.

"I don't like fighting all that much.
It's a shame I need to find it necessary."

"Anyway," she continued, extending her hand--to really anyone who cared to take it--"I'm Arrietty Char. And this," gesturing to her sword with the other hand, "is Perdition's Gate, only to be used against Grimm or in the most dire of circumstances, 'cause I'd hate to cut someone into pieces or whatever. I can't even imagine losing an arm, imagine being quartered!" She shivered. "Brrr, no thanks."

Octavia walked down a corridor. She had lost track of which corridor it was, engrossed as she was in her own thoughts. If somebody were to get close enough, they'd notice her muttering under her breath, saying things like “If she's actually that, then I might need to mention it to my teammates, but if I do, that might expose my own secrets”
Internally, she was still reeling from some revelations gained from her communique with a friend and fellow seeker of truth, a journalist she had previously leaked documents to, currently undercover in the White Fang.
A few minutes ago
Octavia activated the voice and location spoofer software that she had had installed onto her Scroll when she first got it, courtesy of a contact of hers who lived in Atlas. Knowing now that she was secure from being tracked, she dialed a number she had long since memorised, saying “Sorry I'm late in contacting, I had to find a private area. Anyway, anything new? Also, something's come up, I have a few suspicions about a person that I'd like you to confirm if possible.”
The journalist responded “I'd almost given up on your contact. To keep this brief, the White Fang are definitely working with Torchwick due to orders from the top. Also, rumour has it that Torchwick himself is working with some other people, I'll try and find out more. What's the name of this person who you're suspicious about and why are you suspicious?”
To this Octavia responded “Her name's Reina de Mazelle, she's a teacher at Beacon. As for why I suspect her, it's probably my paranoia speaking, but she has fought students at least twice, from what I've heard, and in those cases, she was attacking human students. Like I said, though, probably just my paranoia”
The journalist replied quickly, saying “I won't even have to do any research to confirm that, I've heard her name being used before, in the same breath as a certain Blake Belladonna, people who “betrayed” the White Fang. After asking around, what I've found out implies that she was a key member in several bombings, and for a killing spree of White Fang members when she left the organisation. So, you said something about her being a teacher at Beacon?”
Octavia was numb with shock and barely noticed the question, saying as if in a daze “assistant teacher, if I'm not mistaken. Thank you for the information. Can we make contact again relatively soon? I'll probably have some new things to tell you, further payment, and possibly some papers to publish. I'll leave a time at location C”
Hanging up before the journalist got a chance to reply, her first wholly lucid thought was “good thing I'm not in her combat class.”, after that there was a mess of thoughts coming to her at once, from “I wonder if the headmaster knows about a former key White Fang agent working at the school” to “I need to tell my team”, and she started walking, almost on autopilot in the direction of the dormitories.
Some time later
Octavia had made up her mind, she would try and tell her teammates about Reina without revealing the truth about herself, but if worst came to worst she would reveal the truth about “Minor Key” and hope for the best outcome. Arriving at the room in which she stayed, she opened the door to see Sirina inside, and said “Hello Sirina. Out of curiosity, do you know anything about Mrs. De Mazelle?”

Sirina Zezili

Sirina woke up to the sound of silence. How long was she asleep, well she couldn't tell you. She looked around, no one was in the room with her. Must not have been asleep for to long... Or they haven't returned... she thought as she sat in her bed, Its to quiet... I'm bored...

She sighed and noticed a mug on a table. Umm..... I think I can break that... she thought as she began to hum slightly. She focused on the mug, watching it for vibrations. Everything has a resonant frequency at which it's very building blocks vibrate. If I can find and match the frequency, I can manipulate the sound of my humming to match the frequency and force the mug to vibrate more intensely. In doing so, I can shatter the mug... she thought as she tried different frequencies.

Then she saw it, a slight vibration, Got it. she thought as she smirked and focused on her humming until the mug shattered. It was then that she heard someone coming. She listened to the steps as they approached and listened as the door opened. Then she smiled.

"I know she's a teacher at the school... Teaches combat, and has a semblance not to different from mine." Sirina said, "She also can be scary sometimes. She doesn't seem to care much for students, but I think at her heart she really does care for the students. Where were you by the way?"

After what was a satisfying brunch, Mentari told Chess that she wanted to go and do something, and bid her farewell for the day. She walked off, calculating the time needed until she'd have to meet Togami. Most likely night would be the best timing, though if anyone caught us, suspicions would arise. So the best timing would probably be around evening, just before the sun sets...

She knocked on the door of the dormitory, walking in and finding the SCROLL that Togami had Purnama work on, picking it up and placing the piece of technology inside a specialized backpack. Zipping it up, she found Charlotte doing... Whatever it was she was doing. Looking her over, it looked like the team captain could use a break, most likely something having happened some time before.

"Hey... Charlotte? Do you want to go out and uh... Do something?" she asked, untying her jacket from her waist and putting her arms through the sleeves.

Jack and Lilith
Ozpin's Office:

The elevator opened, and Jack and Lilith stepped out. "Ah, Professor Ozpin. It's good to meet you. I'm sure you know who I am. This is my associate, Lilith Thorn." He gestured to Lilith, who half bowed. "In any case, I believe that you will be intrigued by our reason for being here. Lilith, if you don't mind."

Lilith pulled out a scroll, and triggered its projector, displaying a graph. "As you can see, Grimm sightings are becoming more and more common, and if predictions can be believed, a major attack is coming, if not this year, then in the coming years. We need to be prepared for such a threat, and I believe that out of anyone we could have chosen, you are the most trustworthy to help us."

Carmina Birch

She sensed Theriam throwing a knife at her feet and quickly stepped back. The knife was driven into the floorboards. "Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa," she raised her hands and placed them in front of her. "You calm the fuck down, man. I mean, whacking someone with an ice claw was bad enough, now a knife? Come on, I'm not stupid to brawl in a library, geez." Pointing towards Yuki she said, "Four o'clock today, cliffs. I don't wanna have to go to sleep pissed."

"Hmm? Are people getting into fights?" a cheerful, quirky girl poked her head out of the bookshelves, smiling at the group. Carmina sighed. This was Arrietty, the idol wannabe in this academy. She and Theriam latched on to a conversation in an attempt to relieve the tension in the room. This seemed to be working—Carmina calmed down a bit and went to the bookshelves and got some books. She returned to the table and sat at the side opposite Yuki and adjacent to Theriam.

"I'm Arrietty Char," the quirky girl extended her hand. Such deja vu, Carmina thought as she shook her hand. She then gestured to her wavy-looking sword called Perdition's Gate. Ooooh, interesting. The steel striations on the blade seemed to be of high-quality, like the kind that Carmina had seen in her father's workshop. "That looks nice," she remarked. "Is it infused with synthetic Dust or something like that? I tend to be a dork when it comes to weapons, perhaps because my dad forges weapons."

Ozpin

"Hello, Jack." The old man approached him and shook his hand. Jack then introduced his lovely associate, Lilith Thorn, to which Ozpin smiled and bowed as well. "So, what has brought you here? Normally your firm wouldn't have any problems with dealing with the Grimm."

The professor sat in his chair and poured another cup of coffee into his mug. A projection appeared in front of his screen, showing a graph indicating the increasing numbers of Grimm being encountered. Jack wanted Ozpin to help him prepare for a possible Grimm invasion within the year. After sipping form his mug, he sighed. "I appreciate that you are taking steps to protect Vale, but whatever preparations may be done should be made carefully. We do not want to cause people to be anxious."

After my first taste of hunting Grimm, though, I can hardly say it's that surprising... Your father forges weapons? I can see why that would lead to an increased knowledge of them. It must be a useful thing to have. Sadly, I don't have any really practical in-depth knowledge," she admitted, "other than how to kill Grimm, make music, and set things on fire. Only one of those is actually really practical, though..."

Togami clenched his fists anxious at the girl's touch, and nearly scolded her before she opened her trap.

"Father says that it's alright to cry when things make you upset..." She said as she placed her head on his shoulder, "No one will blame you if you cry..." Togami stopped before snapping at the child, and thought. She really... doesn't mean to embarass me, right? I mean... maybe this doesn't hurt my 'brand' that much anyway. Maybe it even... Helps me out a bit.

"Lilybet.... You might want to give Togami some space... Unless he doesn't mind." Ning said, almost prompting his friend for a response.

"Oh, um... I think that's enough touching for now, yes, but I appreciate the thought...." The teen struggled with the name for a moment, "Lilybet."

"I'm fine." Togami replied to Ning's concerns before shaking his shoulder to dispel his companion's grip.

Flashforward to back at Beacon...

Togami had succeeded in getting lost during his rush to show up at the library, but this was a folly that such an intelligent and generally efficient individual like himself would never make. So, it never officially happened and he would never acknowledge it as such.

Notably he did run into...

Jolana ben Lowenstein

Jolana ben Lowenstein was in the library doing something she thought she would never have to do again for the rest of her entire life. She was writing, or at least making, a 'book report'. Sure, it was for Lewiston's history class as extra credit, and sure, it was technically 'analysis of a pre-Faunus War manifesto' but it was still an entirely absurd thing to do. She had her Weapon in its standard form, Tyrian Kwanon, next to her on the desk, with earphones over her head to block out most sound but the music Kwanon's radio was playing through them.

There was some commotion going on in the library as she was finishing up writing the analysis. Something loud enough to overpower Kwanon's sound was... unusual, to say the least. Annoyed, she clapped the manifesto shut, holstered Kwanon, turned the sound off, took off her headphones, and approached the source. As she rounded a shelf of books, she saw Yuki slash at Avena, with Avena just barely avoiding being seriously injured - though she did see some blood.

There was some more commotion, though she was too far to hear it clearly, and she hit behind the shelf when Yuki slashed. Carmina screamed. Jackson approached the group, and Avena suggested something about fighting with Yuki to 'let off steam' or something along those lines. Jolana started walking towards the group, slowly.

Leif, Jackson, and Arvena left, and Carmina got up in Yuki's face, with Theriam suggesting that they take the fight elsewhere. It... partially diffused the situation, with Carmina suggesting a fight by the cliffs.

Well, at least it's not taking place here, Jolana thought as she turned away. She should report it, but it wasn't her concern if two students wanted to beat the crap out of each other. They'd get in trouble for it, not her. She heard Arrietty, the school's 'idol', enter into conversation with Carmina and Theriam. She wasn't sure what to think of Arrietty. She was a bit annoying.

Ah well. Jolana was almost done, and she could finish it in her dorm anyway. She turned to leave the library again, when she slammed into Togami at a brisk walk - the combined weight and height difference sent her to the floor before he did.

"Oww... s-sorry about th-that...."

Lucas waved as he parted from Olive after a ridiculously tough workout with the faunus girl. He smiled as he made his way through the hallways of Beacon and continued to stretch when he passed a door he recognized, "Ulfrics office? Didn't he say he would talk later after that fight?"
Not pondering it he knocked on the door to the teacher's office, well hammered really and called out, "Yo, Professor Orcson! You in there? I needed to ask you some questions open up."

Jack smiled. "Of course. Anxiousness would only accelerate the attack. And so far the program is only in its infancy, but..." His smile disappeared. "In the case of a major Grimm attack, or even an attack by others, we need to be able to mobilize a force, ready, willing, and prepared, to fend off any and all hostile elements. That means White Fang, Thugs, and of course, the Grimm."

Lilith spoke next. "All we want to do right now is observe the students for prospective recruits. Out of the ones we find interesting, we'll tell you. Nothing's set in stone right now."

Jack nodded in confirmation. "For all intents and purposes, this will be merely a financial supporter touring the campus and insuring everything is working like it should be. Nothing to cause alarm, and nothing out of the ordinary."

Just as Avena offered to be the outlet of Yuki's anger, the rest of Team JACL came to her and Leif's rescue. Carmina, pissed off as all hell, moved in between Avena and Yuki. She was not happy that her teammates were attacked. Even though Avena brushed it off as nothing serious, Carmina and the others were not convinced. Before she could object, Leif and Jackson dragged her off to the infirmary while Carmina was left to confront Yuki. In a few minutes time, the three were at the infirmary, a place Avena knew all too well. Due to her reckless attitude, the Mad Sniper visited the nurse often. Anything from bruises and scraps, to dislocated joints and broken bones, the nurse was very familiar with Avena's physiology.

" Seriously guys, you didn't have to do that. I know she didn't mean anything by it, she was just upset. Besides, I had it handled." Avena said as she sat down on a medical table. " What happened this time? Wait...don't tell me. I don't want to know." The nurse said as she went to go get the first aid kit, the one especially made for Avena's antics. During this time, Avena took off her bloody shirt and torn bra, right in front of the boys. She didn't care, she had nothing to hide. The nurse then proceeded to tend to her wounds. She cleaned the cuts with an antiseptic, which burned on open wounds. Avena let out a loud grunt from the pain of the antiseptic. " Seriously, Ms. Sharpe. Every time, its something else." The nurse said as she bandaged her up with gauze. " Sorry nurse...these things happen." Avena said with a smile. Nothing ever fazed her, taking everything as if it were nothing.

Carmina Birch

"Set things on fire?" her eyebrow raised. Whatever she was talking about, it wasn't going to be good at all. Eh, everyone sets something on fire eventually, literally or figuratively. "But yeah," she shrugged. "It is pretty useful. In fact, one time I noticed that Jackson was having some trouble upgrading his weapon, and so I wanted to help him out. Of course, when he asked me for some tips in upgrades, I just told him right to his face, 'Why didn't you just ask me to help you forge? You know I learned forging from dad.' Short story shorter, it took us several days to come up with something, and voila!"

She opened her scroll and showed a few pictures of an upgraded Apertor to her and Theriam. "Apertor 2.0!" she smiled. "See here, this first mode is his usual bat mode, but then this here is his new blade that pops out from inside. Oh yeah, and also a shotgun mode! I had to tell him to not have his gun be a carbine since that would take up too much space for the magazine."

Jackson and Leif

Jackson sighed as Avena bit her lips from the pain of the antiseptic. "Sometimes you just don't shrug things off like this casually," he told her. "You can't just get in situations where you're in danger all the time."

"Yeah," Leif added. "From the looks of it I think you should give Yuki some space, yeah?"

She was here all too often, either because she tried to impress a certain someone with her skills, got into trouble with another student in a fight, or exerting herself too much in sparring classes—not minding that her Aura is very low. The two watched as the nurse placed bandages on Avena's wounds to stop the bleeding. This was followed by another series of bandages wrapped around Avena's chest. The whole process took a few minutes.

Once the nurse was done she said, "That should do it. You may need to stay here for a couple of hours, Avena. I don't want you to push yourself too much today. Honestly," she rubbed her forehead with her index finger and her thumb, "you should try not to end up here next time."

Ozpin

"I appreciate what Wolf Industries has done to help the common man be more prepared for the Grimm—not just in Vale but in all of Remnant—but our Huntsmen and Huntresses are more than capable of fending off any threats to humanity," he countered. "And I am sure that my colleagues both inside and outside of Beacon will agree. I don't believe that the company will be needing any prospective recruits from Beacon, since it is stated that Hunters' allegiance with any entity is not to be held under any circumstances."

"That is really cool," Arrietty complimented her. "I love how you added the extra mode, and as for the last part... Well as for the last part I must admit I have no idea what you just said. If you wanted to talk to me about the parts of a violin, a microphone, a sword, a matchstick, or a Molotov cocktail, I can do that, but I'm afraid I simply don't know enough about guns--first weapon I used against a Grimm was a sword, and after Perdition's Gate here... well, I never wanted anything else. As for the setting things on fire... that's what I do! I've been doing it since I was a little girl, and--oh you think I'm a pyromaniac!" she giggled. "I suppose in a way I am. Only in a roundabout way, though. Fire is my semblance. Well, technically, fire is me..." She shrugged. "It's kind of hard to explain."

Jack scowled. "You misunderstand. I do not want recruits for my company. I am merely setting up the framework for an international task-force. Said task-force would be completely independent, or so I've been told."

Lilith spoke up. "Think we should let the cat out of the bag? Just this once?"

Jack sighed. "It was bound to happen sometime or another." Jack pulled out his own scroll and spoke into it, two words that were incomprehensible. A low hum emanated from the scroll, and after a few seconds, it dinged.

A cheerful voice spoke aloud, "Identity confirmed! Councilman Reilly confirmed, as well as Candidate Thorn and unknown third party. Continue regardless?"

Jack rolled his eyes. "Replay the tour. Outsider Version." The device dinged in acknowledgement.

"Hello! You have been selected to receive knowledge about the Grimm Combat Initiative, also known as G-COM! G-COM seeks to establish an independent framework for Hunters, Huntresses, and soldiers to combat the forces of Grimm, as well as any who would use those forces for their own ends. While the project is not in effect yet, it is prepared to mobilize rapidly after any large scale scenario has been detected. Current goals of the project are: Eliminate Grimm threats, Eliminate those who would use the Grimm, and establish a secondary form of communication in the odds of an attack that destroys one of the four network towers."

After the voice stopped, Jack continued. "I'm merely a backer of the project. The identity of the 'Commander' of the G-COM forces is unknown to me, as is the identity of the one who recruited me. I'm only here on their orders. Not for my company, not for myself, but for them, and by extension, Remnant."
