'So she noticed me?
Exactly what I wanted.
Now to think about what I could do to annoy her.
What do I have from Theriam and her own doc- oh wait like that's any good, she likely falsified her own medical profile, I'm sure of it.
Ah... I don't have much actually, although hindering and taunting all over the place might stir up the salt.' With that thought, he went in and tried to stir up the salt.
After all, it was almost like he feasted upon salt every day.
Togami was often his main source of salt due to the extremely easy to anger personality the latter bore.

"Oh, well what have we here?
An equivocal fight between a student and a teacher?
And all this for the right to kill my dear brother's love interest?
Haha... Now, we can't have that.
That'd be too boring, the mascarade would end too soon.
It'd be like a two hour film filled with all of the good things only to see that the villain or the hero was killed at the very start.
The end, credits roll.
Disappointing innit?
Not like you'd know anything about that though, none of you seem to appreciate the true value of cinema or any art.
Even the art of assassination is barbarized within your hands.
A shame my dear brother made me promise to not interfere within his affairs..." He smiled devilishly at Shiroi, obviously knowing that Reina was around in some way.

Faal Lot Himdah wrote:Ning Kohkuhycumest

To make room for Togami on the couch, Lilybet crawled up on top of Ning's lap and sat there. Ning smiled as he shook his head which she responded back to with a smile. When Ning's uncle left the room, the room went silent.

"So. Togami, what sort of relationship do you have with Ning?" Dara broke the silence, "Also, has he gotten into any fights?"

Ning shook his head at the last question and chuckled slightly.

Togami looked Ning over. "Well, apart from sparring and class, Ning hasn't gotten into any fights that had a personal basis at Beacon as of yet."

"We're... teammates. Ning and I have a lot of the same classes together, share a room, and managed to keep from killing each other, I suppose?"

After managing to sneak off later that day...

The windows in this portion of Vale found themselves barred and imprisoned, as much keeping criminal in as they did out. Togami, alone, turned a corner into an alleyway that looked all too familiar, and went to a window that on the ledge contained a cylindrical parcel; This was the very window that he had left cash on just a few days ago, and inside would no doubt be what he had asked for, but the heir saw no harm in checking-

"What is this?" Togami pulled out the damaged aura stabilizer and inspected it carefully. Once he realized it had been broken, he climbed in through the window, furious.

"What is this!?" He yelled in the storage room of the Dust shop.

A dark figure, concealed in shadows, replied. "That's the part you wanted." Togami's hands went to his hair, pulling on his scalp in rage. He took a moment to calm down.

"This is worthless. It's missing piece. What are you trying to pull here?" The heir replied.

"Look, the cash you left wasn't even enough money for this thing. Be glad I got it at all." Togami clenched his fists, but remained calm.

"Fine. Don't expect my business anymore, vulture." The figure simply chuckled as Togami climbed out the window with the broken part on his person.

Back at Beacon the next morning...

Togami was strolling through the hallways of Beacon with the broken part in hand. This is absolutely embarassing. To think I promised this part and it's not complete is an utter failure on my part. I can get another, but it'd take time. I wouldn't be surprised if Mentari kept the scroll for this gaff. He rolled his eyes and sighed.

It'll be worth it if I get the Scroll back. Now, where is she?

Shiroi smirked as the hound's head exploded. "That was a misstep," she stated, taking her whip and with all the power she had in her arms, thrashed it into the ground aiming in the direction where her beast had been butchered. There was a tremendous bang as the whips hit the ground, sending a wave of ice spreading across the floor. "Tsk, tsk, you just made me use my trump card." she replied in disappointment. Her firearm was useless now, the Dust cartridge would need to be cleaned out before she could use her most devastating weapon. But it was a worthy sacrifice.

She walked across the ice carefully, trying her best to avoid slipping and falling to the ground. Her surroundings were blurry, but she could still make out the ice on the floor. It was the path that would help her distinguish between the illusionary and the real. Her whip suddenly morphed into a musket, and with it, a rod to clean it out. She began cleaning it as she walked. Victory or defeat would rely on her ability to use her legs in place of her hands.

One of her hounds had its legs trapped in the ice, while the other had been knocked over and covered in ice. Shiroi did not know what had happened to Reina or whether she would make her attack. She was suddenly interrupted by the sound of Reina's voice. "It appears someone is coming to interfere with our contest. We may need to settle whatever grievance they are attempting to force before we can continue." it would give her time to clean her musket and launch her best weapon against Reina. But then again....

"Perhaps...." she simply stated. Her musket was almost clean, and all she needed was one good beast to help sniff the fox out. "But let me ask you - does the hunter give the fox a reprieve? When he has the fox in her hole, does he stay his hound and let it go?" she reached into her pocket and briefly felt the Steam Crystal she had there. "The answer is no. He smokes it out."

"Unfortunate..." Reina says with an invisible grin, "for I am no timid fox of the hunter's tales. I am a fox of the villager's nightmare's and legends."

Reina had shifted her position, now behind Shiroi, both of her weapons, Tick and Tock, each set to release the entirety of the stored power within their clips of combined fire and lightning dust in single massive explosive bolts.

"Give my regards ferry master when you meet them."

She pulls the triggers and lets the shots fly from point blank range, making full use of massive recoil to fling herself away at the same time.

One eyebrow arched up as she sat down. "So, shall I start?"

"Go ahead," Mentari gestured, cutting some of the fish and clearing it of bones before stuffing it into her mouth. The freshly baked fish tasted like an ocean breeze, refreshing her after having such a tiring night before. The crispiness of the outer layer went well with the soft and juicy interior. It was rather exhilerating to have such delicious food at a cafeteria, let alone a school one.

Clover walked the halls, trying to find someone to help out, as in his nature. The frills of his maid's outfit were actually rather neat, which made it odd that the boy created tornados in his path when he was able to keep his clothing extremely well taken care of. The morning was still rather young, and classes wouldn't start for awhile it seemed, so he took his merry time in his stroll around the magnificent school.

'Ignored and not even attacked? I'm almost hurt.'

Heamet feigned being hurt both emotionally and physically.

"Ah! I'm hurt! In all of the wrongest places! My emotions, ah!" Then he laughed as the bullets bounced off the barrier Heamet had set up around Shiroi.

"Now now... What did I just say?" He shook his head slowly as he heard the bullets land on the floor.
"This is why I hate making promises." Pulling the sheath of his blade out of its place, he held all of the sword in one hand.

"I probably need to warn you, just because I can't see you, doesn't mean I can't expect you.
However don't misunderstand me Jonoh, I'm an enemy to none and everyone." He smiled in way resembling the Cheshire cat and held his free hand in his pocket.
"Now allow me to continue the film."

Inside, Heamet wasn't doing so good however.

'Eh bah putain...

In short, Heamet was right, his barriers, no matter how powerful and resilient they could be, would always have some sort of weakness.
A barrier like the one he created not only was done fast, but it was also done way too resistant, making him take some part of the damage as well.
Due to his lack of training with his new semblance, creating such a barrier took a heavy toll on him and cut down his ability to make protective ones to near zero.
If he wanted to protect himself in this fight, he would have to do it with skill and dodging.

It's not like anywhere in Mistral...

Out of the blue, he had collided into someone, apparently in an urgent state. Quickly getting to his feet, he bowed in embarassment, and apologized. "Forgive me sir, it wasn't intended!"

Togami checked his watch just as he was turning a corner. Oh, it looks like its lunchtime. I'll just head over to my dorm and messa-

"Augh-" Togami grunted in surprise as someone had collided into him. The heir was just opening his mouth to bring forth a torrential string of insults and unhappiness when Clover said a phrase all too familiar to the aristocrat, making the purple haze that had begun to overtake his arms dissipate like mist from the confusion.

"Forgive me sir, it wasn't intended!" The faunus boy responded without hesitation. The boiling mass of frustration that threatened to shoot from the teen's mouth cooled when that phrase reached his ears, and he paused. Something about those words sounded familiar. Where... where was that from.

Crash. The clatter of plates, trays, cups, and pots sounded from across the room as a younger Togami looked up from his meal. The faunus servant's eyes widened with fear as footholds rushed from the other room, promising swift retribution for the transgressor before the child's very eyes.

Togami bit his tongue, and began to conduct himself more reasonably. "That's quite alright kind.... mam?" The last word came out more like a question than an answer. "It's bound to happen to us all anyway. Togami Murasaki." The teen reached out his free hand to the be-dressed young man.

"I was just going to my room to drop something off before heading to lunch. Walk with me." Networking, not making friends. It's networking. I couldn't care about whether this person died. The boy assured himself silently.

Clover was startled. The one he had crashed into, a Mr. Murasaki, did not lash out at him unlike other people. His face turned warm when the other boy called him 'mam', unable to sense the confusion through the trainwreck of thoughts going through his mind. He forgave me! He's so cool! Gentle! "V-Very well, sir," Clover replied sweetly, standing straight but head slightly tilted down as he followed Togami.

"This is the best apple I've ever had! Where do you get these things?" He quickly began eating the apple until it was too the core, relishing in it's taste when suddenly a beeping from his scroll went off.

"Oh sorry," he said to Olive as he grabbed his scroll and checked what it said. Blood Test and After-School Workout,
"Damn I forgot about that, sorry Olive but I gotta go, I'll catch you later, okay? Bye." And dashed off not taking time to put his scroll back in his pocket.

He made his way back to the CMCL room, completely unaware of the events that had transpired mere moments ago to get his blood tester. This pocket-sized device was something Lucas hardly ever used but was sure to do it atleast every other month as of late in order to insure his blood/dust ratio didn't get out of hand.

Going right two of his teammates he jabbed the small device into his index finger and waited for a reading, this one device was customized to suit Lucas' special needs, probably the only worthwhile gift his mom ever gave him since he ran away. Three beeps signaled his test was over and it read out; Dust-Blood concentration at Normal Status, Warning, Blood Anomalies present, Maintenance and Re-Weaving suggested. Quickly Lucas hid the device and thought to himself with a grimace on his face, "I knew I hadn't done it right."

Remembering where he was he smiled and scratched the back of his head, "Welp, I'm heading off to do some workouts and training, Let me know if you need me for anything." And waved as he left to a training room.

Olive followed the boy, seemingly intentionally. Though she would never admit it, she also wanted to train and she had literally no idea where to go to do said training. Of course, this implies that she is clueless. Which, to a certain degree is true. However, she would again, never admit that she didn't know where it was in front of a non-slummer.

No way in hell they'd get to act all high and mighty because of her.

Sonitusia wrote:Putting on her usual clothing, except wrapping the arms of her jacket around the waist of her white, short sleeved uniform, she joined Chess while pulling her sport shorts up. She held onto Chess' hand gently, smiling cheerfully. "Of course."

She nodded towards Lucas as they left the dorm, heading towards the cafeteria to get some well needed food.

Chess followed her significant other dutifully, almost as if she was some kind of dog faunus instead of a cat. At first once he started his stretches he hadn't noticed Olive had followed him, however since he changed into his workout clothes he had the feeling someone was watching him. Finally he spotted her antlers and was genuinely surprised.

"Olive? What are you doing down here? Usually I'm alone at this hour for this sort of stuff."
As he did this he started loading weights on a bar over a bench until it reached an abnormal weight he stopped to check his weight on the scale, still glancing back to the faunus he had met earlier with a smile

He came to his dorm room door and held up his hand. "Wait here for a moment." He commanded firmly but somehow with a tone of politeness and disappeared into the room for a moment.

While inside, Togami placed the cylindrical container in his mattress and opened his scroll.

Meet me later.

hYuki positively froze as she listened to Avenas final words, when it came to her right arm it was something of a trigger, a hot potato, a fork in the road, whatever one wanted to call it was something of a taboo subject. But of course that was only for the three teammates who had seen Yuki fight within the forest during the initiation. As Yuki looked at Avena with her emotionless expression, watching the silly unknowing smile she felt a small ignition of anger well up for a moment and then a dead calm.

As Yuki spoke, her voice still in it's monotone, dead as if it was someone else's problem explained without hesitation the story of her missing arm.

"you want to know how i lost my arm...do you... well its a simple story.
We suffered from a grim attack, specifically several beowolves emerged at the edge our town. Unfortunately for my family we lived at the edge of that town. The grim broke through the walls into my house on my eleventh birthday killed my mother, father and brother in front of me, and made me a cripple.
That's the plain and simple... Would you like to see the scar?... or would you like a more... finer detailed history?"

It wasn't hard for Erde to move around, all the kingdoms were her unfortunate playground, but Vale was still her home.
As Erde walked within the shadows silently, or atop the rooftops observing the fool's below. She slowly made her way towards her intended target which was Beacon academy. As she entered the airport the employ who had served her last time was once again working. Of course her proceedings was smoother then last time as she gave her document's over and then soon headed to her awaiting aircraft.

Her trip itself was quiet and as her airship landed near the main walkway, she simply got off while holding a simple black briefcase.
Of course for today she had gone to a lot of work in her appearance wearing a professional looking black suit, ironed pants and black shoes and leather gloves and covering her eyes simple but sharp sunglass's, their lens akin to obsidian. As Erde walked quietly towards the academy, she could hear the commotions rippling through the air. Gun shots in the distance, killing intent rolling like waves which told her the estimate position of where they were.
It made her smile, a small cruel and innocent smile which looked no different then a child's.
As Erde closed her eyes she lightly held her free fingers to the air and then lightly snapped. In an instant her aura ignited and hundreds of simple swords appeared for a moment around her and turned their blades silently skywards on a light angle, and then like a flash fired like barrage of bullets from an anti aircraft gun into the sky. Those swords which flew like an arrow climbed for a few hundred feet and then like physics demanded... dropped from the sky with the intent to skewer everything in its path in a rain of steel with a large radius of AOE.

With that small smile Erde had continue walking even after releasing several hundred arrows and silently entered through the doors of Beacon. She didn't need to worry much as her ears picked up the sounds of her steel shattering and slamming into the ground in the distance. Her actions and it's hidden message were simple when she fired her swords.
Stop playing around... or a real "monster" would come and play...

As Erde walked the halls, her shoes lightly clicking on tile and then wood, Somehow or another she had found herself unconsciously in the library. As she watched the students study she found herself a little lost and yet a small smirk fell on the corner of her lips... so many birds... so many precious baby birds to pick from indeed...

Erde was about to look more closely upon the students when a voice reached her ears.
"Who are you?"
She couldn't help herself as her vision naturally fell upon the "bird" which had chirped so sweetly upon her. Her eyes instantly taking in every piece of relevant information within a second. The condition of his uniform, the health of his skin, the tone and health of the hair, weather or not there were animalistic traits accompanying the voice... Her vision which was focused upon the boy was one of utter pressure as if crushing him as she made her initial observations.

And then after a few seconds she replied, her smirk leaving her face as a bewitching smile replaced it. Slowly she removed her eyewear and looked at the "bird".

"Ahhh, Sorry allow me to introduce myself, My name is Malidia, I was hoping to speak to students on a survey on regards to "certain" reading material, their views on those said works and in my case specifically where would be my best chance to unload them.
You in fact seem to me to be an ideal candidate, would you be willing to lend me a little of your time?"

When Heamet heard the clatter of metal during the fight, he didn't think much of it.
Until he got almost impaled by one of the falling blades, stabbing his arm, he was almost brought tumbling to the ground, but his smile didn't fade, instead, he jumped out of the AOE as fast as he could, only to get nighly killed by a sword that almost pierced his head.

"Well, looks like I wasn't the only one to want someone annoyed beyond belief.
A shame I couldn't stop them.
Oh well, not like the blade stabbed one of my veins.
Lest I'd be lying on the floor.
Doesn't mean it can't hurt like hell though." He still smiled, although one could easily see him in pain, his semblance wasn't going to recover until a few seconds, and if he played his cards badly, well they would spell his downfall.
However, Heamet wasn't defenless, as much as his arm did hurt, his defense didn't lower.

"Don't think you'll just get me like this." Heamet pulled the sword out of his arm and examined it.
"Ah... t'was rusted. How annoying." He would have to check his blood and wound to see if he was alright health wise.
Either he would need to run away or end the fight fast.

Kyaaaa!~

"Clover Niccolio. Marseille. Marseille is familiar. Combat servant? So, the old man is looking for a cleaning lady to do his dirty work? How typical of an aging man to take the coward's way out," Togami noted, laughing at the irony before his expression went back to its pretentious scowl.

The heir was going to continue with his jokes, but a crash sounded from the other side of the school, and an all too familiar crash to the teenager. His throat dropped. Her. The woman from the night Ning and Sirina arrived. Visions of her blades flying at the new arrivals, the ground as he bent over with exhaustion, and the crimson dagger that was still carried at his belt she gave to him all flashed with memory. Togami gripped the hilt.

"Come on." Urgency overtook his countenance and voice, "We need to defend wherever that noise sounded." Togami didn't turn to see if Clover was following before he took off in a sprint.

"A-Ah, no no, Sir Marseille can defend himself... The only problem is that no one thinks I can clean up very good, so I may as well hunt..." He was slightly awkward saying that, unlike his normal self where he would boast that he could tidy up with ease, and proceed to fail at levels beyond human capabilities. But something in his heart told him not to lie towards Togami, and so he went with the truth that he had noticed from people since long ago.

Suddenly, there was a rather quiet, but sharp noise that came from somewhere around the other side of the school, making his husky ears perk up. He recognized the metallic vibrations, and was able to deduce it wasn't a normal accident. As Togami ran, Clover followed in pursuit, quickly catching up and actually out running the aristocrat without any second words. Pulling out a scroll gifted to him from the current head of the Marseille family, he tapped a combination quickly and continued running towards the source of the sound. Within moments, he had reached the outside world, and saw that chaos had begun brewing in all directions. Guns fired somewhere, but he couldn't be sure.

Right on time, a locker slammed into the ground in front of him, and he pulled out his Jacks of Spades, locking them into each other to form a battle rifle before peering through the 10x magnified scope. Unable to find the one who caused the disruption, save for the large amount of steel and some wounded students, he used his faunus traits to pick up any traces, and used the latest scent before running back into the school, his weapon turning back into a pair of tonfas. He found his way to the library, and lifted his arms in a battle stance.

His face lacked any sign of weariness, though he did breath slightly heavier from his long distance sprinting. Before him stood a well dressed woman, talking to one of the students with a tone he didn't like very much.

Mentari noticed a vibration in her pocket, and pulled out her scroll. An unknown sender had sent her the message "Meet me later. Alone." Her eyebrows burrowed, quickly guessing who had sent it and why. Purnama clucked at her from the back of her mind, but the girl really had no choice but to continue the deal that had already been set. Even if technically it wasn't her who made it. Damn you, Pur.

The girl was then slightly surprised upon hearing a noise in the distance, and in lazy curiosity, began checking the cameras she had set up around the school. Nothing was out of the ordinary, save for the large amount of metal stabbed into the ground just outside the doors. Puzzled, she sent a screenshot to Chess, and asked, "What do you think's going on? Should we go and check?"

Arena looked at Yuuki as she explained her story to her. She expected something along Grimm attack, but the family getting killed was no predicted. She lost her smile for a second, saddened by Yuuki's words, but true to her personality it did not last long. " Losing an arm doesn't make you a cripple. You're still able to do what you do regardless. That makes you a strong badass, not letting a missing arm stop you from achieving your goals. I know what it's like, losing a parent. My mother died in childbirth. But we are still here doing cool shit and that shows our strength and badassery." Avena said with a huge grin as she gave a thumbs up.

Aria in the mean time was just whistling the theme of an old game the boys had made her play, at first, she thought it was extremely bad, and it was.
But in the end, she just started to like the main character and the game at the same time, even with all the quirks and idiocies of it all.

For now, she was looking to socialize, unlike Ether, although the bloke had reasons and Theriam finally had to put on his garb that shrouded his arm, it was called the cyber guard by his mother, but Aria herself didn't know much about it, she only knew that it had about the same defense potential as Miriel with the ability to hide Theriam's newfound cybernetic implants.
Almost everything on the right side of his body had changed, much to Aria's liking, she had more time to look at the abs of the man she was once interested into.

She had heard of a team called team FATE, with one of their members having fought the power bloke god Ulfric.
Merely having the guts to even show up, much less even hold his own against him was a miracle and something that was highly renowned for in the academy.
After all, it had been a few weeks.

And today, Aria had decided to go and meet them, at least one of them, in their dorm room.
She had vaguely heard of the others defeating opponents, especially one that wore a helmet that apparently defeated Victoria, one of the teachers.
That alone made her feel respect for them.

When she got to the door, she took a great inspiration and knocked, shortly after doing so, something hit her.
She didn't know what to say at all.

Heamet noticed the girl getting hit.
At first, he didn't recognize her, he was over concentrated on the fight at hand, but when he noticed that the person that had been hit was Charlotte, he shouted out to her.

"ARE YOU A BLOODY RETARD?! THINK OF MY BROTHER BEFORE TRYING TO KILL YOURSELF YOU TWAT!
SELF PRESERVATION YOU IDIOT! LEAVE THE GODDAMN PLACE IF YOU'RE TRYING TO GET KILLED!
DON'T FORCE ME TO USE SOMETHING I DON'T WANT TO!"

Heamet's last sentence was oddly cryptic for him, usually, he explained everything, be it implicitly or explicitly, there was always some kind of hint.
However, here, one could either guess that 'something' was from his semblance or from something else.

Heamet had actually disappeared for quite a while during those few weeks, and after he came back, one could see several changes, both personality wise and physical wise.
He seemed even stronger than before and oddly enough, manipulated his blade in a master like fashion, making even Theriam, a certified duelist have trouble with him.

His new style included new ways of using his semblance several times a second without even tiring, even using it as a way of moving or attacking.
But there was one thing that deeply changed within him, something that only Theriam saw and that was only exhibited during a fight.
He seemingly didn't like to show it, but should he need to use it in this fight, he wouldn't hesitate if it meant saving his own life or someone else's.

Charlia wrote:Charlotte saw the blades. She didn't try to dodge, simply stood there, staring up at them and smiling.

What are you doing?! What do you think? Nothing at all, of course. You little--Get out of the way! Why? I don't have to do what you tell me. FINE THEN! What are you--

She lunged to the side, ducking out of the way of the swords involuntarily, her heart racing and adrenaline pumping through her veins.

What the heck are you doing? Self-preservation! It's the first law of nature! I HATE YOU SO MUCH. I hate you too but I still want to stay alive!!! Augh-- A sword sliced a long cut down the side of her head, and she automatically tried to push it away, only inflicting a cut on her wrist.

...This is lovely! You realize that things would have worked out fine if you hadn't interfered! What, in that you'd be dead?! You really want to die, don't you? You're insane! No more than you are! JUST GET OUT OF THE WAY!

"I'm not actively trying to kill myself," she shouted back. "I prefer indirectness anyway!" She managed a smile. "Also, as it turns out apparently I'm not allowed to do that, either. And please..." Her voice lowered, and she grew very angry.

"Don't dare insult me." Popping back to her more bantering tone, she finished, "It's not really appreciated, you know? All things considered and such, although whether or not Theriam's told you is questionable. For all I know, you know basically nothing about me... in which case I suppose you could be forgiven. Once or twice. But no more than that, I don't like giving people second chances, it's just an opportunity to get yourself hurt."

Heamet sighed as he tried to use his barriers.
To no avail.

'Bloody hell...'

"I know more than necessary to know how you think.
But I'm not nearly as nice as acceding to your demands, if I see a bloody idiot, I call them out for it.
And right about now, you're being one.
So now, while I honestly shouldn't care about your life, I am, because I don't want my brother to be depressed or angry because Monty knows how far it'll escalate.
To be completely honest with you, the only time where I'll care about you is when Theriam will be around, I don't expect you to forgive me, I don't expect you to like me, I expect you to take into account my brother with whom you are actually feeling something for.
This feeling being reciprocated, I cannot allow you to die.
Yet.
And I don't want to have to go to such drastic measures to save your sorry arse back to a safe place.
Now, did I make myself understood missy?" Heamet talked back, calmly, with still the same smile, yet one could feel the obvious anger directed at her, truth be told, he was almost sure that whether or not he was angry or that it was rare, she wouldn't give two bits of something resembling a fuck.

"Your brother is going to be depressed or angry no matter what you do," she said, smiling almost vacantly. "Because you see... I'm going to die anyway. I'm simply choosing a less painful route. As much as I'd love to stay alive and have the life I can't have... that's just it. I can't have it! Because. I'm. Going. To. Die. Does that make sense to you?" she said sarcastically. "And either way, Theriam's going to have to deal with it! Because once someone's dead, they're dead! I see no point in preventing feelings that will end up occurring in the end anyway."

As the several minutes of banter continued, Heamet continuously tested his barriers and whether or not they did work.

But as he heard Charlotte's argument, he just laughed madly.

"Oh please, since when were you the one in control?" He aimed his fist at Charlotte, then concentrated for almost a second before opening his hand and swiping the air, making a moving barrier to try and move Charlotte out of the way, far away from the whole event, however, a moving barrier took its sweet time to move at such a distance, even Charlotte could dodge it if she wanted.

"I swear, everyone in this school is either suicidal, a total goldfish, utterly psychotic, an idiot or a braggart.
Bloody hell." Shaking his head, he made another swiping movement over himself to swat away several blades coming for him.
Then he left.
No point in staying a fight he wasn't supposed to win.
He wasn't the main character, nor was he important enough to stay in a fight with such little stakes.
He managed to convey to his target what his goal was, he had nothing else to do.
After all, what was the point in trying to annoy someone that wouldn't even answer?

'No fun.
No fun indeed.'

She didn't even seem to care.

"Think about what I said," she called. "Everybody knows that everybody dies... I'm just going to die sooner than I should." She didn't show it with her sarcastic bantering, but she felt...

Sad.

I don't want to go. I really don't. But... I don't have a choice...

Theriam... If I leave you... When I leave you...

I don't want to go!

Heamet looked back with an angry look.

"Then stop forcing your own end.
Everybody dies, I know that better than anyone as a medic.
But something you don't get is the value of your own life before others's.
Everybody's mad here, but this is no reason to be stupid."
