My party got pushed back a few hours. A friend of mine called up, needing me to help her move out of her house. She just got a divorce (her husband is a big dude, emotionally-abusive and occasionally even got physical, and is an extreme patriarchal Presbyterian), and felt that I was one of the few people she could trust to help her out. So that's what I've been doing all day, and now my party is going to be going until pretty late tonight.

In other words, it'll be a bit before I can post.

Well, at some point we need somebody to fall in love with another of the characters that is already in a relationship. It not only is a likely possibility, but it also leads to interesting drama.

But I doubt Luke would really go for anyone but Beth at this point. It's just against his nature to betray someone like that.

Anyway, no. I didn't. This may sound weird, but most of the friends I have are either quite a bit older than me or are minors (or are married). The vast majority of them are women and girls (about twelve). Seems like my maturity, work ethic, and philosophizing has gained me many friends that are much older, whereas my humor, sometimes carefree nature, and young looks have gained me many friends that are younger.

All this to say, that friend of mine is fifteen years older than me (for you not so mathy people, that's 37 years old), and that's just not something I'd be interested in. Plus she has kids, and one of them is seventeen years old. It'd just be.... weird, to say the least.
