As of 1940, he is currently progressing well in his magical studies, and has been sent by his father to represent the Commune at a peace conference in Engalia.

Not really ancient, more like 1500s tech. And yes, the Commune has a small supply of relatively modern weapons (roughly 1900-1920s) and a larger supply of more primitive ones.

Biography:

Konrad was born and lived mostly throught his life on northern Sudetenland, in the town of Carlsband. The economic crisis found him during his childhood in the destoyed economy of Sudetenland he was raised by a family from the worker class on the local glass industry. Konrad was a person with high IQ and so he was admitted early into the mathematics & physics university in Prague were he studied for several years and later getting a master's decree which led him for 2 years in Boston and later returning to become a proffessor.

In Boston he learn first handed in close eye the American scientific society regarding many scientific questions such advanced physics, chemical reactions etc but also influneced heavily by the anti-communist propaganda. One man, stated to him personally that after several experiments he concluded that there is a world pararell to ours but Konrad laughed right on his face, despite he was open minded individual in scientific terms he couldn't such crap couldn't he? After that he returned to Europe, which was on turmoil but the war had yet to start. Konrad, who couldn't find a job as a proffessor or even as a teacher due the current government wanted to supress the German intellegencia. He decided to join the local German Free Korps so that he can provide to his family until the Wehrmacht invaded Czechoslovakia.

Ever since Konrad who served in the low ranks of the Heer. His unit was the first to pass the German-Austrian border checkpoints during the Aunchluss and one of the first to invade Poland in September. Konrad witnessed the massacre of polish cavalry from the german tanks while he and his team were in their support as assault pioneers. The platton managed to rebuilt bridges in record time for the tanks to pass to takeover Danzig from the Poles quickly enough. Later he was redemployed on the western front; France. While in France there was a different story, there was supposed to be feared of the Brits and the French but this wasn't the Great War as France fell quickly. The disaster of Dunkerque shown that, he met also a friend of his on the... oppossing side who was now a POW.

Konrad during the french campaign started to become increasinly ruthless, acting mostly as a reckless soldat rather than as a nco he was. He once charged in front of a machine gun nest on his own, he threw a grenade and killed the two french inside but his superior officer told him he was becoming irresponsible and erratic, but war does that to people; especially to good people who are fighting for a bad cause such as him. Once, a major asked to participate to a scientific programm so that he can get out of the frontlines but he refused, he was either to become an officer himself and uses his knowledge to help in the war effort or stuck as a solider but never as a scientist due as he believed there were smarter(adn more fragile for war) people than him. The major got angry with him and he left him to rot as an nco despite had potential to become an officer.

Konrad's unit was transferred to the 31st Nordsee Flottille first to fix one of the ships and later commissioned to be part of Operation Sealion, not much to their delight as their posting first said Paris and rest not more war.

Personality: Honest, honorable, ruthless, cunning due he is a genius, diligent & humble.

Likes: Have fun with his fellow soldiers. Playing his guitar & making a bit queer jokes. He always likes to have some serious conversations with others especially the officers. Also he is known to have a clean uniform.

Dislikes: Corruption, gloryfication of the reich, stupidity from the officers and most of all communists

I don't think a Pioneer, let alone a Czech Pioneer, would be given camouflage if even standard infantry didn't.
