Yeah. Pretty much, it used to be a Entish Principality in decline. Then it nearly collapsed when the Dark Races attacked. Although they repulsed the Dark Races, casualties were enormous, and then they got into a brief border conflict with the Ice Drakes in Finland, with the Drakes decisively winning and taking the Eastern territories of the Entish principality (Lapland). I assume that soon after this the Ulvene Reich intimidated the Ents into becoming a puppet state.

No, I have an explanation. See, there are massive differences between the Eastern and Northern Ents, who are one group, and the Western and Southern Ents, who are another group altogether. Even the languages are different.

The Western and Southern Ents are the typical Ents that you would expect- wild, untamed, and revering of Nature. The Northern and Eastern Ents, however, are more civilized- though not like the other Aesir Civilizations. The Eastern Ents dwell alone or in small tribes, but the Northern Ents are the most civilized and advanced of all.

My idea for the Entish Puppet state is that it started when the Entish tribes in the North formed a very loose coalition against the Dragons of the North, due to a war, which they fought to a stalemate. Due to continuous tensions, they found it necessary to keep the Coalition together. Eventually it evolved into a Semi-Civilized Principality, where it reached it's golden age. Then they got into a war with the Dark Races, the largest war the Ents have ever been in. It made their fledgling Empire crumble. They fought off the Dark Races, but at a heavy cost: After the war, they were so weak the Dragons simply marched in and annexed their Eastern Territories (Finnish Lapland) and the Ulvene Reich annexed their Western Territories (Swedish Lapland), leaving them with only their Central Territories (Troms and Finnmark). They forged an alliance with the Ulvene Reich to keep out the Dragons and Dark Races, and this alliance soon developed into a relationship where the Ents depends near-entirely on the Reich. Soon they were simply subsumed into the Reich, but became an Autonomous territory, the Republic of Morsoot.

Its a good post, I like the background you add into it. In the future posts though, please limit the addition of Hollywood scenes and rambo moments. I know the temptation to shoot something in a cool way is large, but we should try for battle realism

Most of the fights, you'll be huffing it on two feet. But there will be vehicles in most of the fights, (armored cars, half-tracks, tanks and assualt guns) of course the type of vehicles depend on what units your with.
