Firstly, I'll point out that the Gods of Rome were often second to the Republic, so that analogy is quite useless. In Greece, the Gods were centred on the same world that men were. They were atop Mount Olympus, which was visible to the mortal men. They couldn't get to the actual halls of the Gods, because they were off-limits. And also, Gods can certainly have a direct effect on mortals. Look at Athena during the Trojan War. She is the reason that Hector faced off with Achilles, and then she is the reason Achilles is victorious.

again, you are not the op and have no right to dictate that. If a god wishes to live among the mortals in a temple then that is their right as long as op does not disagree

I'm not sure what you mean by kingdoms. The Gods don't rule over a kingdom as a King would, but rather they play a major role in, quite honestly, whatever they want. The Gods of Greece, as well as the Gods of my people, the Norse, often play a direct part in the decisions of mortals. I'll use the Iliad again, since I've read it several times. Athena tempts an archer to restart the battle whilst disguised as another soldier, which starts the Trojan War off again.

I can't think of a story aside from Skyrim where each deity had their own realm either.

I disagree with that assumption, and attempting to force it on all the other players because you THINK that's how it should be or how it is is not only pretentious, it's wrong. I refuse to submit to that idea and will instead see what OP thinks. But I will say it now, the Sun is not a world and realm onto itself, and there are not however many billions of elves worshiping Caelum within that realm. And that still gives you no excuse to make the humans however you wish them to be, without consulting others who have equal claim to them as followers and a client race.

And that's not how the Daedric realms worked. This is what the cosmology of The Elder Scrolls appeared as, and even this is vastly simplified.

I honestly think it makes more sense if the Gods can't jump down to Earth and do whatever they want. That's what the Demigods are for.

There is a FAR easier way to limit that besides following the idea of Mutually Assured Divine Destruction, and that's simply have all the gods agree, following the devastating effects of the previous war or the one to come, to create a barrier that LIMITS the interactions god can invoke within the world. But there's no point to making a complicated system to achieve that goal, and even so, the daedric princes and the gods have appeared on Nirn directly before anyway, so even that idea doesn't hold for what you're aiming for.

Edit: And I'd like to point out that in Greek Mythology, Mount Olympus was an ACTUAL MOUNTAIN. The gods LIVED on Earth literally!

God's Name: Kronos
God's Powers: Harnessed/magical fire, forged metal and the forging of metal (you refine metal in fire, if you were wondering the connection)
God's Divine Form: Large, handsome, muscular god with fiery reddish-brown hair, wielding a massive gilded steel blade enamored by a bright flame, his being is covered in flaming armor and always present in an aura of fiery power. In his fury, he looks like a figure of solid flame and metal.
God's Mortal Form: Tall, muscular, handsome man with fiery reddish-brown hair. Similar to the divine appearance, but not quite as majestic or glorious. Unless he is mad, at which point he looks like a huge, armored man engulfed in everlasting flame.
God's Bio: Followers: His devout followers are almost all made up of blacksmiths, mages and soldiers, who all worship Kronos in hope he will help them with their craft in some way. Often he grants them their wishes, and throughout the land Kronos blacksmiths are widely regarded as some of, if not the, best in all the lands. Pyromages who worship Kronos are regarded as the most powerful in their craft. Soldiers who pray to Kronos find their armor is never pierced, and their swords always cleave flesh and metal alike. Due to the destructive way these blessings are often used by his followers, he is sometimes thought of as a god of war. Make no mistake, he is not a god of war, but he is very skilled in combat nevertheless.

History: Kronos was born with the original creation of fire. It was he who showed mortals how to harness the destructive fire into beneficial uses. Everyone who wants fire, whether it be the cold house owner trying to stay warm, or the adventurer trying to outlast the night, does well to make a quick prayer to Kronos for a long, hot fire. He is much liked; indeed, the only ones who ever dislike him are the ones whose homes (or lives) are destroyed by fire. He does not often appear in a mortal form, so those that do see him in a mortal form often become awestruck and follow him.

Character: He is a handsome man, both in mortal form and divine form, and he knows it. In modern terms he might be considered a playboy. He loves girls and women, and some may say that along with water, feminine beings are his weakness. He is easily angered and not easily calmed, and his anger is truly terrible. However, he is also easily cheered, and his joy is truly great. In fact, all of his emotions are amplified due to his passionate character and fiery power. He is truly a force to be reckoned with, not only because of his great power, but because of his loyalty to friends as well.

RP Sample: Sorry. Any RPs I get into die before they go anywhere  , so I don't really have any good examples. (P.S. I haven't actually done any RPs under this nation, so if you search my name, you won't find anything. I did all my RPs under another nation.)

just bumping here for interest/relevance:
God's Name: Kanosei
God's Powers: Kanosei's domain is of change and innovation, a being who, quite simply, is incapable of leaving things as they are. Kanosei's powers generally center around altering circumstance and changing the basic elements of the world - as well as her general goal. she is capable of inspiring beings to learn of new ideas, and of subtly creating inspiration by changing small bits of the environment around said beings.

Kanosei's other powers mostly revolve around changing circumstance, subtly influencing events to happen in advance but rarely doing anything direct.
God's Divine Form:http://cms.battleon.com/DF/images/NytheraVoid2.jpg
God's Mortal Form: Kanosei has a few mortal forms, but most commonly defaults to this: http://th09.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/i/2 ... 4scrcm.jpg
God's Bio:
Kanosei herself has no true understanding of when she truly formed, recalling only endless boredom until mortals came to be. As a whole, she generally has spent her time watching and subtly influencing mortals to become more than what they are, causing them to think differently whenever she felt such was necessary to improve them.

RP Sample:
A ringing of metal and the smell of burnt steel struck Fas before his eyes could visually process what happened, his reflexes saving him from a blow his eyes didn't even track. The being standing before him was something he had never seen before, Volcanic rock covered by molten lava that formed the approximate shape of a man. the heat of it's fist and the force it had struck with would have pulped Fas's internal organs without effort, had he not managed to block with his black scimitar. Even now, however, the being sported a grin on what passed for a face.
"So, you are the one they call Fas Fatum. Just as weak as I had expected."
Fas angled his scimitar, pushing his opponent's fist away with the sharp sound of stone grinding against steel, before stepping away from the punch that followed, his black scimitar coiled back like a cobra. Win or lose, Fas knew he wasn't able to run from this fight.

God's Powers: Salt water (ocean) and serenity

God's Divine Form: linky & link, with hair almost always like in the 2nd pic

Clothes are a different matter. As it is abnormally difficult to find, I shall describe such. A somewhat close-fitting dress, tyrian purple in color, which wraps around the body to bare one shoulder. It is belted securely at the waist with a plain, dark brown leather belt. A dark blue shawl is also present, though it is rather small. There is likewise a pair of simple soft leather boots and some leather hose known as anpilia. In terms of jewelry, there is little. When it is worn, it is mostly a silver necklace or bracelet.
(This is representative of ancient Canaanite attire)
If this were more medieval or I had a more European focus, I might've used this nice picture I found while searching for a proper picture

God's Mortal Form: Depending on the situational context, it is about the same. If a significant degree more of modesty is required, then it becomes a blue dress with a coat that covers most of the body.

God's Bio: Born ever since the oceans flowed this world, and since man had chosen to conquer them, Mirayeset has been gifted the salted waters of this earth. She, likewise, held dominion over serenity. It is she that keeps the soothing sound of the sea in check, the waves gentle and the calming atmosphere in check. Her serenity extends past the sea, likewise, and thus she could influence daily lives as well. Her life has been that of most gods, escalation in times of crisis and calmness in times of peace.
(Not great, I know)
RP Sample:
In the earliest days, seas were calm. There were storms, yes, but the races of men did not disturb it. Creatures of all sorts, from elegant to beastly, inhabited this vast fluid space. Over time, however, men grew past their canoes. Once the lakes were mastered, rivers came next. After rivers came the ocean. Massive boats were built to traverse the waters, rapidly sailing on the backs of sails and slaves. Soon enough, as with all of man's creations, these turned to war machines. Bronze rams, archers, and piracy followed to improve this war. With each passing day, the seas grow less quiet, and yet there is a serenity to be found in them. A beauty. The calm shore, the soothing sounds of the waves, the fresh salt air. This is Mirayeset, the goddess of such waters. It is she who tends the oceans with a delicate hand, and her gentle serenity finds its way to all creatures of this earth. Peaceful silence, calm waves, such is her domain, and the races of men are grateful for each day they feel her tender touch in their daily lives.

God's Powers: Fire/Heat & Rock/Mountain stuff.
God's Divine Form: Lihar typically takes on a draconic form or elvish form. In either case she has obsidian like skin/scales and has red glowing eyes, which in draconic form are cat like. In her elvish form she wears a red dress which has a flowing like patern which gives off the feeling of lava, or going into battle she waers black armor with red highlights and a sword wreathed in flames. Her drqconic form has scales all around which very in size but genuinely don't get very large, twin horns come out from her head like obsidian knives, but other than that she doesn't look anything paticularally exotic.
God's Mortal Form: Female fire elf basically the same as her god form aside from the fact that her dress doesn't seem lava like just simply a nice red.
God's Bio: Lihar was created a second generation goddess, the daughter of Vardaelia, her creation wasn't intentional but she had formed out of the great mass of energy in the core of the planet. As the accumulated energy built up it formed into a fully sentient being of raw energy and stone turning the center of the planet to magma. Vardaelia had done well at keeping the earth firm and getting to the surface wasn't an easy task, however when she created the first mountain it left an opening, and Lihar sprang out in all her molten glory. Despite her difference in mind she still considers the earth goddess her mother, and made her own version of elves, as well as making volcanoes and wildfires part of the great cycle allowing new growth afterwards.
Broadside dead ahead!

Sorry but I've already got fire and effectively metal (my area's more broad though) which comes mostly from under my domain of stone, and I'm just waiting for people to get back online to approve of my app.

Ah. Well, yours seems more like natural fire/heat and natural stone, whereas mine is the harnessed/magical version of fire and forged (and the forging of) metal. So mine is more specific, I guess.

As such I will edit my app.

I was told by my boss to dress for the job I want, not the job I have. Now I am sitting in a disciplinary meeting dressed as Batman. In the last disciplinary meeting I had dressed as Iron Man.
Rue dies. Prim dies too. President Snow dies too.

GENERATION 16: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.

My fire is fire in general so that's also kind of a no go even with magical fire since when it's god level and you say fire that typically including s all sorts of fire, magical or natural.

An idea might be going with industry, and craftmanship's open to, and I'm sure there's a few other similar things whichcould be used for making a forge god without directly having fire under his domain.

God's Name: Haijira
God's Powers: Life and Good Fortune.
God's Divine Form: A beautiful white nine-tailed kiteune with golden eyes dressed in Ivory-white, gold-trimmed armor.
God's Mortal Form: A young, blonde woman in a white, gold-trimed robe. Same eye color as in divine form.
God's Bio: Haijira has existed since the last star died, but she only gained her powers once the Mortal plane was created. She draws her power from all the living, pure people of the world. She has the ability to iurn nearly any desperate situation into a good one, and is often worshiped by those facing dire circumstances or in the midest of recovering from a major disaster, as she can make wounds heal faster and raise the dead back to mortal life.
