Dimension as in XYZ-axis dimensions no, since they don't decay. Dimensions as in multiverses, no, because the same rules of space not decaying apply. Everything within them is fair game though.

The way I view Maestrahs is as a sort of tester. He pushes mortals to make them stronger and punishes the arrogant or hubristic. Decay is only a small part of his nature. So I don't think they should be father and son, but the splinter of his being idea is alright.

The king was created, as I said, when the universe was first created. He was born when that first bit of energy started to decay, and for trillions of years simply sat, content. However, he grew tired of simply absorbing the energy of everything. After a bit, he found fear, and began to consume that as well.

The King is a quiet sort, and is generally withdrawn from the affairs of others. However, his words and aactions carry great gravity.

Also, he is prone to plucking mortals for the SCarlet Fortress, whether to serve him as an entertainer, a chosen servant, or to take part in the game, which is what the Scarlet Fortress is made for.
