Every single RP I've participated in has died or I've ether lost interest..

But I'm partly to blame for it, considering that I'm notoriously bad for making an app then not posting, or just disappearing mid RP.

I've been in 711 topics and done about 90% of my posts in P2TM, so I thought perhaps 200-300 ballpark.

Well, the OP got it quite right. Facing trouble with several of the RP I'm trying to run now. But perhaps if I may add, the pacing got something to do with it, run it too fast the rest of the member just lagged behind they lose interest, too slow everyone lose interest.

An interesting read. Before, I have never truly contemplated why pretty much all roleplays I've ever participated in just seem to randomly and suddenly die out of nowhere.

Now, I am curious to know what 'stage' you would define The Fall of Gods to be in. This roleplay, of which I am one of its last three or so remaining participants, has been going on for years, and has known several periods of inactivity that lasted months(!), and despite having lost pretty much all of participants, including most of those who had been with us for months or even years and whose characters are now central in the past and future of the storyline, the roleplay keeps chugging on. Do you believe this to be an exception to the rule? What do you think?

Maybe. I'd need to be familiar with the clockwork, but perhaps sometimes determination and dedication wins over.
Any non-fundamental rule has exceptions.

Without looking into detail, I would say that it is most likely continually dragging on in the Status Quo stage, taking advantage of luck and perhaps artificial techniques to keep interest up.
