USSR is still on it's downward spiral that was inevitable. Just at a much slower pace.

Yeah no.... F-35s would be thought of but not in the US most major companies fled the US(going with this one) and taking their designs with them so basically they are strung out the world.

If Lockheed-Martin fled to Canada, which is a viable option for them since they already had contracts with Canada and its very close.
