Character Physical Description (height, weight, apparent age, actual age): Torii is a teenage girl (currently 18, though somewhere between 16-18 physically. Thanks, time travel.), and a mundane human -- one of only a handful who live in the apartment building. She, like her sister, is quite attractive, and dresses in a more casual style, usually picking jean shorts and a tank top, or her favorite sundress for a day with her friends. She has blonde hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and stands at around 5'5.
URL to Character Picture, if any: Torii!Primary Skill or Power: Torii is a soldier, and mainly a scout. She's a good marksman and sniper, and can handle most firearms. She's small and agile, and pretty strong, so moving around and getting into and out of trouble is easy for her.
Power Weaknesses/Flaws: She's strong, but not an excellent melee fighter. She's been easily beaten one-on-one several times, especially when Octavian beat her mercilessly in a fight. She relies more on her own strength, like when she beat down a group of bullies with a baseball bat in a rage.
Secondary Skill or Power: She's very intelligent, and loves science. When she isn't messing around with her TF Gun that she got as a present from Bran, she's reading a science article in bed or watching TV, or talking about it with her friends and neighbors.
Power Weaknesses/Flaws: She doesn't take the initiative to actively work for the Raptors, who she wanted to be an intern for. She never had a formal education, and couldn't even dream of working for another scientific department in her life, which is something she takes out on herself in private.
Character Background/Biography: Torii is the little sister to Katya Dimitrov, and daughter of Peter and Katya Dimitrov. Born in Stavropol, Torsiedelle, Torii was born in the center of her parents' breakup, of which little is known to her or her sister. She was lost as a small child, and doesn't remember who took care of her through her early years. In the early 2000's, the Kalmyk Rebels became a plague on her nation, living in hidden bunkers and complexes, and bringing the Second Capitol of Elista to its knees. It wasn't known how the rebels got their funding or grew so quickly, but the National Army moved and began a bloody civil war that lasted several years in the province. The Rebels were horrible people, and were known for forcing children to fight with them. Torii was one of those kids, who was forced into service after her home was bombed. Torii doesn't say much at all about her childhood, other than that she was a child soldier. When the Army captured Elista and the war ended, there was a mass purge of survivors, with only the children who were forced to fight being spared. Some of the kids were reunited with their families, other immigrated west, and others stayed alone, and went on to lead their own lives. Torii, despite having both parents, was caught up in a lot of confusing legal matters that ultimately kept her away from her family, with the exception of short visits and the occasional holiday, or if she ran off. She spent her awkward first years of puberty in a large camp-like complex full of kids like her, along with orphans and foster kids. Torii had a meek existence there, with few friends and quite a few bullies. She won't even talk about this part of her life, unlike her childhood, probably because of various embarrassing moments and bullying incidents. When she was sixteen, she was eager to move, and took the first chance to move West, like many other kids. She had little room to actually develop, and was awkward and shy for her first few months in Vafflehiem, but she came out of her shell as the made her first real friends among the Apartment Dwellers, and began to discover herself. No longer a shut-in wallflower, Torii was still affected deeply by her experiences, which she still suffers from today, with attacks of depression and trust/self esteem issues.
Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: Bielefield is Torii's only home that she can think off. She realizes that her dream of a unified family back home on her Dad's land is impossible, and she's come to think of the other Apartment Dwellers as her friends and family. She doesn't know how else she could live without any of them. In Bielefield, she sees a future for herself, and happiness.
URL to Apartment Picture: The layout is very simple, and it's actually a small, but neat apartment. The sisters share the giant bed that dominates the main room, facing the dresser and across from the two other rooms and kitchen area. The apartment is simple, with dark blue carpet (the kitchen area has white tiles) and white walls with dark wood paneling where the floor and ceiling meet them. The bed is on an old wooden frame with a large overhang that sits just a few inches below the ceiling. The kitchen counter is wood with a plastic top, and the kitchen area has a refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. The same style applies to the secondary room, which has a simple bed and shelf, and a small window on the wall behind the bed. The bathroom and sparkly white with tiles floors and smooth walls and ceiling. The counter is stone, and the bathtub is plastic. The entire apartment is at a cool 64-67 degrees constantly. The sisters keep their large number of clothes and guns safely tucked away under the beds in both rooms, the shelf, and along the wall neat the apartment door. Katya keeps a small chair and table next to the left window when facing the main bed.
