[The New Velociraptor Empire]

Well, the new meme is certainly blowing up. Though I can't hope to match some of the results that have come out of this, since the best I can do is Mad Libs.

Bran- A Battle-Engineer who was shaken by the first Dolphin War on Earth. Thus, he requested a transfer to the relatively more peaceful Mars Colony where he met Rylli, a StarBomber pilot.

Torii- Raised in the Infantry, Torii was always a bit of a rogue. Often charging headfirst into battle. Although happy in the military, she felt something was missing. After the Annexing of Mars she received word from Earth that she had a sister who had become a wealthy industrialist after she left the military.

Monfrox- The hardened field commander of an Imperial scoutship that has seen the frontlines of every key battle in taking over the Solar System. Even when The Empire slowed down to build upon its territory, she continued for the frontiers with an experimental hyperdrive. Unfortunately she and her crew are stranded in parts unknown.

Gio- A young promising Mad Philosopher who wasn't keen on the Mad Sciences that dominated the Raptor Empire. It didn't help that her head was caught in a transdimensional portal during childhood, imbuing a certain perspective on all things.

Swith- The result of the same supersoldier experiments that created Velocidoctor. This Swith is a Raptor designed for maximum destruction. Though she surprised the scientists when she expressed the desire to have a simple life and to settle down with Thriller, the latest Cyborg-Raptor Experiment.

Prim- Former head of a prominent multiversal research organization, he was forced to step down due to a scandal revealing his association with the occult. Though a capable scientist, the lack of labs and companies willing to hire him led to an early retirement. Living a lavish lifestyle on his wealth, he still feels a smug joy when called to assist off the books on things requiring "special expertise."

Prim and three or four people could hop between universes and meet other peoples versions of ourselves.
We could even use it as a chance to test out the "other threads for quests" idea.
Seriously I'm very interested in trying this, its something I meant to do before I left.

Oh do those type of Chinese buffet style places that have picture art of famous buildings that looked like they were taken from the 60s to the 80s, add in a few plants (asian, of course), plus the theme, maybe a pond with dragon with it's two front claws on a sphere spewing out smoke from its mouth over a little waterfall that also has dry ice -smoke, thingy coming out of it.... Okay now I am pulling stuff out my ass.

In any case, we need a Chinese man who has been to China.

Nick's up for it - he really needs a distraction from Thirteen and the fact that he's missing a festival with free food. Currently he is in the kitchen. He could plausibly head to any public area of the Building on his own initiative, if you wish to have them meet up elsewhere (ie hallway outside Brit's apartment).

Also, Nick's lucky to miss out on festival food. This past day, I had a jumbo corndog, most of a funnel cake, fried chicken, fries, two fried Oreos, three waters, and a Powerade. My stomach is rebelling. Also, someone at the festival needs to sell funnel cakes IMO.

A one-shot dedicated to the recent alt!universe character meme.

The Pony, the cyborg and the Raptor sat in the Building's dining room on a rainy summer day...

"You know, I really can't be bothered," said the frowning cyborg as her fingers played with the DNA chain suspended in front of her face. These were only visible to Neste's cybernetic eye, thank goodness, or Naomi would have been hopelessly distracted by the pretty balls-and-rod ribbon as Neste manipulated it.

"But you can be bothered," the Pony Naomi responded cheerily. "You just try not to be."

The Raptor across the table snorted. "The only thing that bothers us is you. Why the fuck are you a Pony? You weren't even mentioned as a Pony."

Naomi sighed and used her horn to magically lift the tea pot and pour more tea for the others. "I'm a Pony because, in that universe, you are a Pony, Charumati dear. I'm an extension of you."

"I'm not some fucking annoying Po-"

"You are," Naomi chided, "and I'm living proof of it. Now drink your tea before it gets cold."

The Raptor huffed and turned her head towards the cyborg. What, no assistance? No logical explanation? Wicked claws scratched at a patch of dry scales as the reptilian genius weighed the benefits of taking over the Pony universe just to shut Naomi up. Promising. Yes, very promising.

"You're plotting to take over something, aren't you?" Naomi intruded upon Charumati's thoughts.

The answer was sullen. "No."

"Yes," the cyborg insisted as the DNA display dissipated. This was utterly hopeless, as usual. Charumati was an unreasonable old bitch. "Just because I'm a cyborg in my universe does NOT mean I've lost my psionic ability. I'm still psionic, and I'm still a god killer, and you're plotting to genocide all of Naomi's species."

"Am not."

Neste rolled her eye. "Are so. I'm Agymnum. I know genocide when I sense it."

Wrong! This was all wrong! It was a foul, mammal abomination! It hurt Charumati's genius mind just thinking about it. Tea cups rattled and sugar cubes bounced from the bowl as the Raptor banged her head against the table. Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong! She might have brained herself had Neste not stuck out a cybernetic arm and captured the Raptor's snout in her metallic hand.

"Mrrph murrr rph mmrrr phhmmmrph," Charumati whined through tightly closed lips and jaws.

"What?" Neste's face pulled into a frown as she released the Raptor. Honestly, the dinosaur was a menace on even the best days.

"I said, get out of my universe!"

Naomi shook her head at both cyborg and Raptor, and magiced the sugar back into the bowl. "But it's not your universe, Charumati dear."

As if to prove her point, Cthulhu Nick wandered past the door.

Neste blanched. "What the fuck was that!"

Raptor and Pony fell silent. Charumati cleared her throat. "That was the product of the wellspring of Prim's mind. It's a dark place filled with rabid leprechauns and gaping, sharp-toothed maws shaped like vaginal slits."

"Charumati!" Naomi and Neste gasped.

"S'truth," the Raptor god huffed. "By the way, we crushed Cthulhu in the Raptorverse. "We've crushed everything. We are the rulers of that dimension, enslaving all mammal scum."

"My universe is the same as it always was," Naomi nodded to the pair and then drew her china cup to her lips to sample the brew inside. "We had some problems when Celestia lost her magical amulet right before arriving in Canterlot, and everypony had to stop putting together her welcome party to go find it. I organized the team, and saved Fluttershy from falling to her death. When we got back, the party decorations were only half done, but Celestia didn't mind. She said it was everypony's smiles and friendship that mattered to her and made her feel welcome, and not balloons and cake. We all laughed because it was so very true! Friendship is much better than ..."

Neste shivered as Naomi dragged on and on. Oh, please! Ugh. So chipper. I'm taking Cato on safari there! We'll bring back trophy heads and redecorate. "Nothing has changed in my universe. We are as we always have been, and we do as we've always done. My presence has no bearing on it, save that Septimus is still a member of the Regent Board, and has reason to smile each morning."

"First of all, why is everything you do better described than what we do?" Naomi pursed her lips. "I mean, you get entire descriptive paragraphs!"

"Don't ask," Neste waved her hand dismissively. "Besides, Charumati had an entire headbanger paragraph to herself."

"And second," Charumati cut in, "Do you mean to say your universe is sunshine and daisies? That the Confederation is cheerful and bright? That everything's all sciency - SCIENCE!!! - and perfect?"

Neste lowered her cup to regard the pair, a dark smile replacing her usually neutral expression. "In my universe, there is a research facility. In one room of that institution there is a woman who spends her days and nights screaming at things only she can see, things I planted in her mind, things so soul-shredding that to describe them is to transcend the PG13 barrier and tumble into cock-shriveling gorn. The visions would cause even Prim to projectile vomit. She never sleeps more than two hours, this woman I've imprisoned, because that's all the relief I've granted her each day. They have to keep her in a straitjacket 24 hours a day or she'd claw her own eyes out just to make it stop. Poor, sweet Ophelia. Anyway, that is the only impact I have made on my universe."

The avatars of spoof!Slaneesh stared slack-jawed at the cyborg. "My god," Naomi ventured at last, "Do we really share the same writer?"

"Yes," Neste growled and activated the DNA display once more. "Now, if you two don't mind, I'm rather done with conversation. As I told you before, I really couldn't be bothered getting to know you two better."
