The other option would have been MLP, and I'm sure nobody wants that.Bran
Late college-goer working on getting into the local air force, but trying to weigh the benefits of focusing on this versus planning on settling down with his girlfriend, Rylli. Moved a long way from his family in order to attend the school, and often suffers from feelings of isolation as a result. Has a tendency to be on the end of innocent pranks by the other students (such as dressing him up as a mermaid while he is asleep).
Brit
A friend of Bran's, who is also looking into a military career. She struggles somewhat with classes, but always manages to pull through in the end. Frequently visits with the school therapist Arthur, and is extremely suspicious of the nearby Luxan shop in town which she often advises her friends to steer away from.
Torii
A student at the college's attached high school, nearing graduation. Smart but misbehaved, often skips out on detentions to wander out onto the college campus and try to blend in and learn from the diverse subcultures, whom she admires. Suspicious of some of the teachers and townies. Is friends with Marcus, Brit, and Bran.
Marcus
Also attends the attached high school, prodigy child who mainly works in math and metal shop, friends with Torii. Often mislabeled as "emo" by the other students, he has a somewhat difficult home life, and few people realize he is related to a few of the high staff at the university. Before settling at his current school he moved around a lot with his family and met many people, but hasn't managed to forget an odd, white-haired, home schooled girl living on the other side of the city he once ran into.
Thriller
The Chancellor of the university, a friendly but proud figure who manages to both value the academic success of his school and give significant leeway to the odd, fantastical things some of the students and teachers get into. He is an old veteran on the outside but still young at heart, who hopes to maintain a fair family legacy at the school.
Swith/Charumati
Thriller's wife, and technically the owner of the building and land the schools are built on. More rumor among the student and staff body than reality, she is normally elusive and stays out of the spotlight despite her influence being well-felt in the facility. The few times she does make an appearance it causes quite a splash, as it is always an unannounced surprise and people are dazzled by her kind but highly sophisticated nature. Bran in particular looks up to her.
The Doctors Von Eldritch and company
Neil and Gretta are two of the highest achieved, most prestigious, and most valuable professors the university has, and they damn well know it. Having multiple degrees in various areas (including extensive experience in paleontology), they are known to flow in and out of teaching and personal projects, and although their children technically attend the attached high school, the three are so advanced themselves that they often get away with fooling around in their parents' work spaces. They are frequently attended by their junior assist Fortu, and their family friend Arthur works as the school's human resources and psychologist. Scarface is a janitor who is not afraid to twist off the ears of idiot frat boys who have no consideration for the integrity of the building.
Naomi
Swith's younger sister, and another teacher at the university. Her calm nature sometimes allows her to be tricked or manipulated by the students, but always manages to put her foot down fiercely before things get out of control. She is married to the high school science teacher Thaddeus, but has been having troubles with him lately, with affects their son, Marcus. Few people know she is related to Swith, and she often finds herself feeling in the Chancellor's wife's shadow during the later's visits, but other than that, enjoys the nature of academic life.
Dora
Part of the human resources department, mainly in ensuring the students know about practicing safe sex. She also has a degree in studying ancient Greece and in time-space physics, but the school rarely ever utilizes these, unfortunately. She is known among students for being one of the most chill, and generally less-fucks-given staff members at the school, and is thus very popular as a result. However, that doesn't mean she lets them do stupid or dangerous things either.
The Luxans
Own a small independent shop in town where they sell herbs, scents, charms, jewelry, and other New Age, esoteric, fringe products. Often considered shady by the surrounding community, they none the less generate a respectable customer base from the local students who often shop there out of intense curiosity and a need for superficial danger. It's not uncommon for students to claim they have been cursed somehow by the products, or been given higher knowledge from beings beyond other dimensions, but so far the law has no evidence or reason to investigate the shop and likely never will.
Willow
An exchange student from Canterlot University, a sister school in the United States. Is studying in liberal arts, but has really moved to the Empire of Giovenith in order to secretly investigate mysterious letters he has been receiving from someone going by the name of Megan Zarchele, which he believes could be connected to the weird going-on's at his school's younger equivalent, Canterlot High. The Luxan shop is one of his prime investigation spots.
Pippa-Michelle
A model who lives in the nearby town. Doesn't attend the school, but does wander on campus a lot and is popular among men for her beauty, though she avoids going or hanging out with others. Not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, she is often manipulated by her managers and photo shooters, but isn't sure how to put an end to it. To cope, she turns to religion (Triitclo-Cloerith).
Mine are boring.
