It's entirely up to you mate, but I would say that Charles III would carry a guaranteed French alliance with it. But I'm sure you'll make whatever decision a good one anyway.

IRL, Spain and France were both ruled by the Bourbons at this time. ATL, Vak has installed a different noble house on the throne and ousted the Bourbons.

And regardless, the alliances of the American Revolution were mostly based on mutual dislike of the British.
