Star Wars: Sabers of The Hidden IC RP

Postby Vengeful Queen Chryssi » Thu Jan 29, 2015 5:23 pm

The year is 17 BBY. The Empire has finally become a stable military force in the galaxy. But many Jedi still hide throughout the stars. There are heroes on both sides. But this is a losing war. Many Jedi give themselves up when they learn who truly betrayed them. Not the Clones. Not the Senate. But one of their own. Anakin Skywalker, now known as Darth Vader. A Jedi Knight turned Sith Lord. Only time will tell who will win this war and who will lose.

Tamari Xon

Tamari sat in the cantina. Her long white dress hidden beneath her black robes. She looked certainly out of place. She was taller and skinnier than anyone else at the bar. Anyone else in the room for that matter. Her black eyes scanned the room, looking to see if anyone was watching her. Suddenly, a Dathomirian Zabrak male leaned up against the bar next to her. "Hey, pretty thing. What's a nice girl like you doing in this bar?" He asked, his voice slurred heavily. "Pardon me, sir." Tamari said as she scooted away slightly. "Hey, now. Don't be like that. I can show you a good time." Tamari shook her head. "No, thank you." She said as she dropped some Imperial Credits on the bar as she stood. The Zabrak grabbed her thin wrist. "Come on, let me buy you a drink." Tamari yanked her wrist free. "I believe you have had enough, sir." The Zabrak grabbed her wrist again and yanked her back. "I said sit down!" Tamari quickly drew her lightsaber and ignited the bright purple blade, pointing it at the alien's throat. All noise in the bar fell into silence besides the hum of the glowing blade the heavy breathing of the Dathomirian at it's tip. "I said; no." Tamari said as she clicked off the blade and put its hilt back on her belt before quickly walking out. "Tactful, Xon. Tactful as always."

Eidos. A system located between Vohal and Suarbi in the Outer Rim. Not much to see, really; a few moons, some asteroids, and a small Imperial base on the planet Eidos, the only planet in the system. Population…what there is of one…mostly humans that operate mining and routes in the area. A few non-human species too, including Twileks, the occasional Zabrek or two, and a handful of others, but not many; the Empire’s strict humanocentric laws have curtailed rights to the point only humans can feel safe and secure here.
***
Prowling around the system, a small fleet of Imperial cruisers, whose mission it is to defend the system from pirates and other rebellious agents, was in the process of completing a standard scouting mission. From the bridge of the lead ship, the Victory-Class Star Destroyer Temeraire, Captain Fortin Soduntis was inspecting the ships in the fleet when a messenger appeared by his side.
“Yes, ensign?” he asked, not taking his eyes off the fleet in front of him.
“Captain, message from the Eidos garrison,” the junior officer replied, handing off the report to his senior officer. Soduntis took it without a word, letting the ensign return to his post before glancing down to read it:

“Disturbance reported at local canteen. 33rd Battalion is being dispatched to investigate.”

Soduntis rolled his eyes slightly at the message; this was hardly something that needed his attention. Nevertheless, he glanced around to his navigation officers.
“Prepare to return the fleet to Eidos,” he ordered.
“Yes, sir,” came the typical reply as the order was quickly broadcast to the rest of the fleet, and slowly the ships swung about in the darkness of space, preparing to return to the planet.

Tamari Xon

Tamari watched from the alleyway as a group of Stormtroopers stormed the bar, weapons raised. They were hunting her. She quickly turned on her heel and began jogging to her ship, hidden within the wreckage of a junker's scrap yards. The Empire wasn't going to catch her now. Not after what they did to her parents and Master Frungka. She didn't deserve to be gunned down like that. And neither did Tamari's parents. She looked around the scrap yard before sneaking out to her ship. She climbed inside and sat down before activating the engines and taking off. She was getting off Eidos. Maybe she could go to Tatooine. Or even Endor or Dagobah. She had heard of other Jedi Masters in hiding there too.

As the Imperial fleet fanned out over the system, the star destroyers began launching their squadrons of TIE fighters to assist in the scouting mission.
"Sir, an unknown vessel has launched from Eidos City!" Came a call from the radar operator. Captain Soduntis stared at the space around the planet, looking for something that would ordinarily be invisible to the naked eye.
"There," he murmured, spotting a speck on the atmosphere of the planet as it headed offworld. "No scheduled launches today, correct?" Soduntis asked.
"No, sir. Not for another two days, as a matter of fact," one of the junior officers reported.
"Well, then, it looks like we have our perpetrator. Scramble the fighters and intercept that ship...I want to see who's causing a problem."
***
As the unknown vessel appeared on the radars of the individual TIE fighters, orders came through to the pilots from their superiors: "Stop the unknown vessel from escaping." The TIE squadrons roared to life and began bearing down on the ship, intent on halting its advance.

Tamarai Xon

Tamari saw bogeys on her ship's radar. She quickly activated shields and put the ship on auto pilot to Tatooine before letting the hyperdrive charge itself as she ran to a laser turret. She jumped into the forward mounted turret and quickly took the controls as TIE Fighters began to near her ship. She sneered before opening fire and blasting two into pieces of flaming wreckage before the other's realized what was happening. "You're not taking me." She turned on auto fire for the bottom turret before shooting at another TIE Fighter. "Not today, not in a thousand years." She spat as it exploded into pieces. "Not ever."

From the bridge of the Temeraire, Soduntis kept his eyes fixed on the unknown ship as it got closer and closer to his fleet; without warning, he saw two TIE fighters erupt into flames and debris as a turbolaser on the front of the unknown ship suddenly sprang to life. Soduntis smirked a little in response.
"Ready the tractor beam," he told his junior officer, "and make sure the boarding parties are ready," he added, waving him off as he watched the enemy starship get closer and closer to the main fleet.
***
From the Tartan Cruiser Resistor, Captain Niel was sitting impatiently on the command deck, watching the TIE squadrons swarm the enemy ship in the distance.
"Any orders?" he barked.
"No, sir...fleet orders are to stand by," came a reply. Niel snorted before responding.
"Stand by...hah. Move the ship into firing range," he replied.
"But sir...Captain Soduntis has ordered-"
"His order was to stop that ship from escaping," Niel barked back, "and that's what we're going to do! Full speed ahead!"
The patrol vessel suddenly lurched forward and began bearing down on the enemy starship that was currently engaged with the fleet's TIE fighters.

Tamari Xon

Tamari saw more TIE Fighters as well as Imperial Cruisers begin to move in on her tiny ship. Just then, the hyperdrive beeped, letting her know it was fully charged. Tamari quickly set the turbo blaster to auto before sliding down the little ladder and running to her seat in the cockpit before slamming her thin hand on the button, activating the hyperdrive and holding her seat's arm rests as the ship lurched forward and shot into hyperspace. After the ship became steady, Tamari turned off her ship's shields and turbo blasters and leaning back in her seat, grinning to herself. "Told you. You can't take me." Tamari stood and then went and sat down before taking off her robes and setting her lightsaber on the floor before falling into meditation.

Captain Soduntis held his breath as the small ship suddenly shot away into hyperspace; he had no idea that such a small ship could carry a hyperdrive system.
"What was that ship's last known trajectory?" he demanded, turning to face the rest of the crew on the ship's bridge. There was silence as an answer was slowly accumulated.
"Sir, it seems it was heading for the Tatooine System," one navigator replied. Soduntis nodded slightly; he had not ever allowed an enemy to get away from him in battle, and did not intend to start now.
"Radio the Squadron at Geonosis, and have them dispatch a scout force to the Tatooine System," he replied. "And tell them I'll be attending to this matter...personally." There was silence as the crew of the bridge all turned their attention to him. "Alert Captain Niel that he will be temporarily in charge of the fleet here...we are going to Tatooine," he finished, not a particular surprise to the bridge as the Temeraire slowly maneuvered to prepare to jump into hyperspace as well.

Tamari Xon

Tamari jolted awake as her ship began to slow. She jumped up and put her saber away before climbing into her seat at the cockpit as the ship came out of hyperspace. She stood as Tatooine appeared outside her window. She nodded before changing out of her dress and putting on pants she had fashioned herself out of shreds of fabric. She looked at herself in a mirror. She was mildly curved. Instead of straight edges like the elders of her kind. She nodded and then pulled on a shirt and chest piece. Now she looked like she would somewhat fit in. She sighed and pulled her robe and headband back on. "Time to go meet the nice Sand People." She said as the ship entered the planet's atmosphere.

Captain Soduntis was busy going over star charts and schematics in his quarters on the Temeraire when the sound of the door whooshing open caught his attention.
"Yes?" he asked irritably.
"Sir, we're approaching the Tatooine system," one of the innumerable ensigns reported. "Commodore Baalis has mustered his forces at Geonosis to assist us, as well," he added. Soduntis scowled at the mention of his superior's name, but nodded.
"Thank you, that will be all," he said tersely; the ensign exited the stateroom without another word. Soduntis paused his perusing of the charts in front of him before turning and flicking on the observation camera to the bridge. "Lieutenant Skaara," he barked; another junior officer jumped at the mention of his name, then faced the telescreen.
"Yes, sir?" he asked, saluting before replying.
"Have the ship's garrison on standby when we arrive at Tatooine," he ordered. "You will be leading them in the search for this rogue pilot." The officer nodded somewhat eagerly.
"Of course, sir," he replied before Soduntis flicked off the monitor.

A few moments later, the star destroyer emerged from hyperspace only a few leagues from the dry, arid planet of Tatooine.

Tamari Xon

Tamari stepped out of her ship and was blasted with hot air, sand hitting her delicate skin, making it burn. She quickly tied her robe shut and covered her face with one of her long slender hands. "This is already completely awful." She spat as she began to trudge through the hot sand under her ship. She had to find somewhere to lay low. She quickened her pace as she saw a sitting in the distance. "I hope they had an inn or something." Tamari said as she grew nearer to the busy sitting. Speeders and animals were everywhere. Master Frungka had never told her about these animals or many of the other races out here in the galaxy. Tamari was well at home on her ocean storm planet of Kamino.

As the star destroyer maneuvered over the desert planet, the scanners on board were busy tracking the energy signatures of vessels that had come and gone recently. From his position on the bridge, Captain Soduntis watched with increasing interest as the boards flickered and lit up at various intervals.
"Sir, we've got it," one of the technicians finally announced. "A ship with the same signature as the one that blasted its way past Eidos landed not far from the spaceport of Mos Espa." Soduntis smirked in relative triumph.
"Good. Have the garrison debark there and secure the city," he replied. "Fan out and make sure the ship is found," he added as the crew went about preparing for the landing.

The Tusken Chieftan roared in triumph as his warriors celebrated around their latest victims, a cadre of Sandtroopers, their white armour scarred with slugger holes and helmets bashed in by gaffi sticks. Instruments played as an intruder watched from atop a high mesa. Ylenia Sallaros adjusted the sights on her TC-17, a heirloom dated back to the waning days of the Old Republic. "Right then, one shot, steal the chief's fancy stick and I get a three million credit pay cheque." Her finger tightened around the rifle's trigger. "Too easy." She fires, the shot piercing the Tusken's heart and dropping him as Sallaros packed up her gear and activated her jet pack.

Tamari Xon

Tamari walked into a cantina and up to the bar. "Pardon me, do you know where I could stay the night?" The bartender looked up. He was a grizzled old Besalisk. He grumbled and crossed two of his arms while cleaning a glass with the other two. "Try across the road, lass. This isn't some hotel." He spat. Tamari blinked a few times and then nodded. "Thank you, sir." The bartender grumbled more and shooed her away. Tamari walked out and looked up as a sandstorm was beginning to approach the city. People were running inside buildings. Tamari covered her face with her hand and jogged across the street into a larger building. "My ship's gonna get buried." She said with a sigh as she walked up to the desk. "Hello? Yes, the bartender across the street said I could rent a room?" A little Twi'lek woman looked up and smiled sweetly. "That's just Kradain. He's actually really nice once you get to know him. About the room? Yes, there's one open upstairs. I'm Vazra. Follow me." The woman stood and led Tamari upstairs to a little room with a single bed, light, dresser, and bathroom. "If you need anything, just let me know." Vazra said. "But what about the pay?" Tamari asked. "You obviously are scared and alone. This one is on the house, hon. Sleep well, okay?" Vazra smiled again and shut the door behind her. Tamari furrowed her brow and sat down on the bed.

From the skies of Tatooine rained down several Imperial transport shuttles, all carrying Stormtrooper legions and supplies as they began preparations to land just outside the city of Mos Espa. On board the lead shuttle, Lieutenant Skaara monitored the squadron of ships as they descended from the heavens and took up positions to encircle the city below. Suddenly, the sound of warning klaxons got the attention of both Skaara and the pilots.
"Sir, there's a sandstorm brewing outside the city," one pilot informed him. Skaara muttered a curse in his Corellian tongue before responding.
"Orders are orders, trooper," he replied. "Just get us on the ground. We will debark when it blows over."
"Yes, sir," came the usual reply as the dozen shuttles began touching down at various points around the city, surrounding it as the sandstorm began to blow in.

Tamari Xon

Tamari sat in silence in her room. Her long slender legs curled tightly under her as she meditated, only the sound of the sand storm outside to bother her. Her lightsaber sat in front of her, floating as it took itself apart and the crystal floated out, glowing brighter than the light in Tamari's room. She inhaled and exhaled softly. She was trying to find a way to connect stronger to the force. Her strongest force powers came when she was in meditation. She opened her eyes as the lightsaber put itself back together and fell softly onto the bed in front of her. She picked it up and put it on her belt before deciding to stretch her legs. Maybe she'd go talk to Vazra again. She seemed nicer than most other people around this city.

Sallaros blasted the other tuskens in her way as she makes her way through the camp to her kill, kicking torches over and igniting the tents, distracting them as she jets over the inner wall and scooping up the Chief's gaffi stick and the tags of the fallen troopers before rocketing away, a thermal detonator casually tossed into the crowd of sand people as she headed back to Mos Espa.

"Comms are secure, sir. Nothing will get in or out without us knowing," Lieutenant Skaara reported to Captain Soduntis from the bridge of the shuttle.
"Good. Tell me something, Vortis...have you sensed anything particular about this fugitive we're after?" the captain asked.
"No, sir. Why?" Asked the lieutenant.
"Well, this fugitive managed to predict our deployment and get around it into hyperspace," Soduntis replied. "It seems as though he knew what the formation was..." There was some silence before the lieutenant ventured a reply.
"Do you think an informant, sir?" he asked. Soduntis shook his head after a moment.
"Unlikely. Just maintain your positions until the storm is past. Then you shall take control of the city and find this fugitive."
"Yes, sir," Skaara replied, saluting to the captain before the transmission cut out.

Tamari Xon

Tamari walked downstairs and up to the desk. Vazra looked up. "Everything okay, hon?" She asked, throwing her lekku over her shoulder and smiling. Tamari nodded. "Yes, thank you." Tamari smiled. Vazra smiled back. "So...what are you? If you don't mind me asking." Vazra asked. "I'm Kaminoan." Tamari said. "And how old are you, hon?" Vazra asked. "16." Tamari responded. "And you're already that tall?" Vazra asked. Tamari nodded. "Got a boyfriend back home?" Vazra asked. Tamari blushed and shook her head. "No. I left when I was 12." Vazra furrowed her brow. "How long have you been running?" Vazra asked. "How do you know I'm running?" Tamari asked. "I know a scared orphan when I see one, hon. I see them everyday." Vazra said. Tamari frowned. "I've been running ever since I left." Tamari said. "Well, if you want, you can stay here or come to live with me. I don't mind." Vazra said with a smile, setting her hand on Tamari's. Tamari smiled and nodded. "Thank you."

Sallaros made her way through the twists and turns of Mos Espa's back roads and alleyways, eventually making her way to the city's Imperial office which were just a two by four grouping of houses taken over and connected by hastily made walls. The Mandalorian opens the front door and stalks past the secretary there. "Hey, you need an appointment before you can go in there." "This is my appointment. She waves the gaffi stick in her face before slipping into the captain's office. "Here, one Tusken Chieftain's stick and eight dog tags from your dead men." She tosses them onto his desk. "Well done bounty hunter, those sandpeople have been a thorn in the Empire's side for too long. The payment has been wired to your account and with a modest bonus." The captain admires the gaffi stick before placing it on the shelf behind him. "Thanks, I'll be at the cantina if someone else pops up." She gives a small nod and leaves.

"Sir, the sandstorm should be subsiding soon," a trooper reported to Lieutenant Skaara. The young officer nodded in response.
"Very good. Alert all divisions to be prepared to move out immediately," he replied.
"Yes, sir," the trooper responded before returning to his post. Skaara glanced out the viewport at the swirling sands outside before a blinking button on the console attracted his attention. The pilot pushed it, and a small hologram of Captain Soduntis appeared.
"Lieutenant," he said as Skaara saluted, "it seems we will be hosting a special visitor for our apprehension."
"Who is that, sir?" Skaara asked.
"The Inquisition," came the cool-headed reply; Skaara's blood ran cold at the thought of the Emperor's highest-ranking secret enforcers getting involved. "Commodore Baalis has informed the High Command of the nature of our little criminal, and they have dispatched the Inquisition to...aid...us." Skaara was silent for a moment before responding.
"Very good, sir. Shall I make preparations?" he asked.
"If you would be so kind, lieutenant," Soduntis replied tersely before the hologram cut out.

Tamari Xon

Tamari sat in her room, drinking some juice that Vazra had brought her. It was cool and refreshing. Interesting to find on this barren white-hot wasteland of a planet. Tamari pulled out her lightsaber and let it burst to life, glowing purple with a loud hum. Tamari spun the lightsaber with a twirl of her long thin wrist, careful not to slash the dresser in her room in half. She turned her lightsaber off and put it back on her belt before sitting down. Suddenly, she noticed how silent it was. Now more howling winds or sand smacking the window. The sandstorm was over. She could finally continue her hunt for the Jedi Master hidden here. His name was Obi-Wan Kenobi. According to Master Frungka, he was the former Master of the betrayer, Anakin Skywalker. Now known as Darth Vader.

There was a hissing as the shuttle doors slowly broke open, lowering themselves onto the sandy ground before legions of stormtroopers began debarking from them. Their snow white armor was contrasted by the black uniform of their commanders, including Lieutenant Skaara, as they began filing out and heading for the not-too-distant city of Mos Espa.
"Sir, all shuttles are reporting full debarking of their forces," one stormtrooper reported.
"Good," Skaara replied. "Have the soldiers search the nearby cantines and public areas...this criminal should be hiding in one of them," he added as they began passing by several squat huts that dotted the Tatooine landscape.

Tamari Xon

Tamari got up and looked outside to see if she could find her ship in the distance, instead she saw Stormtroopers and Imperial Ships. Tamari panicked and ran downstairs. "Vazra! You have to hide me!" Vazra jumped up. "What do you mean?" She asked. "Stormtroopers. Outside. They're looking for me." Tamari said. "What? Why?" Vazra asked. Tamari paused and sighed. "Because I'm a Jedi Padawan. That's why I'm running. They killed my Master and my parents on Kamino. That's why I've been running." Tamari said. Vazra's mouth dropped open and then she nodded. "There's a secret passage in the basement. It will lead you to my speeder. Take it. Get to a ship and get out of here." Vazra said. "What about you?" Tamari asked. "Here." Vazra handed Tamari a communicator. "I'll be in touch. Now go before they find you." Tamari hugged Vazra and smiled. "Thank you." Vazra nodded and then Tamari ran down the basement stairs.
