"Then let's go, mister calm guy", said Dremo , climbed the stairs and stopped in front of Seneki's room. He knocked on the door, and said: "Hey Seneki, are you okay?"

"I'll be fine. Leave me alone, please."

"If you want to be left alone, it's okay. But listen, don't make a mistake now, that you will regret in the future.", said Dremo.
A message suddenly popped up. It was from Wiking.
"Hey Seneki, Wiking asks you if you need anything"

Kaiana looked at her hands, then back at the both of them. "I don't want to hurt either of you. Really. So before I say anything, I just want to tell you both that both of you mean the world to me. Best friend, or boyfriend." She looked back at her hands again, then back at the living room. "Okay..." She took another deep breath. She had grown pale as a ghost from the stress. "So I've been thinking about it, and..." Kaiana rubbed her face. "I'm sorry...I just...okay." She almost wanted to say nothing. To just sit there, quiet, not having to make a decision. But it had to happen. It had to happen.
"Seneki, you're my best friend. Have been since the beginning of the game. Always been there for me. But..." Kaiana threw a quick glance at Lazarus. "Laz gets me. He knows what I've been through, because he's been through the same thing. He's there for me too. Seneki, you'll always be my best friend. Always. Always. But... I've got to choose Laz. Please...please don't hate me. Just...please don't leave me alone. You are my best friend." Kaiana wouldn't say any more. She was quiet. Somehow, she'd grown even paler. She needed them both. They both meant everything to her. Kaiana hoped Seneki wouldn't leave her.

While the other talked about Seneki, wiking instead walked up to Kaiana, "Can i get you anything?" he asked in a low friendly tone

Kaiana placed her head against her arms. "A drink would be nice. Whiskey preferably. If not, then anything else."

Seneki ignored the message. He didn't want anybody to help him. He was leaving, and he was leaving now. Quickly, he tied the sheets on his bed together into a makeshift rope, threw open the window, and climbed down to the ground below. He wandered off into the forest, in the direction of the city. He didn't want to come back.

While the other talked about Seneki, wiking instead walked up to Kaiana, "Can i get you anything?" he asked in a low friendly tone

Kaiana placed her head against her arms. "A drink would be nice. Whiskey preferably. If not, then anything else."

"Of course" wiking said, going over to the bar, picking up a bottle and mumbling something, he went back to her, placed down the bottle and a Whiskey Glass "There you go, just say if the bottle becomes empty, or if you want something else" he said, going into the kitchen, contemplating if he was going to make some late night food to them all

Kaiana poured the alcohol into the glass until it met the rim, and chugged it. She poured another glass. And another. I said something wrong, didn't I? Something that...changed everything. What did I do? Why did I do it? She thought. She knew Seneki wouldn't be coming down for a while. She wondered if he ever would.

Dremo waited for some time for Seneki to answer. After some minutes, Dremo gave up. "If you need anything, just say", said Dremo, and returned to the living room, where he sit down on a sofa.
He opened his inventory and selected a bottle of vodka. He kept looking at it for a few minutes."Not today", said Dremo with a low voice.
After some time, Dremo suddenly remembered why he came here in the first place.

"4 scout teams were attacked by red players. One was wiped out, with only one survivor, and the others took massive casualties, Lots of good players died yesterday there."

Seneki reached the city faster than he thought he would have. He entered an inn, and asked the bartender if there was any work around. Nothing. Seneki had, however, saved up a bit of money in his travels, and had enough to purchase a shop with a small apartment above. This wouldn't be a shop, though. It would be an infirmary, for the injured and sick players coming out of the forest. Seneki had to name the business, however. Soon, he figured it out;

"Seneki's Infirmary

He didn't know what she was thinking, and couldn't judge her actions, he felt like he was creeping her out, or maybe he would stop before he did, if he hadnt already. Why was he even interested in talking to this girl? What made her special compared to the others back at the square? He didn't know, and he wasn't sure he wanted to know. He wanted to accompany her, but decided against it. "I need to get back to the front lines anyway, I'm kazuki" he said. He smiled at her, he hadnt smiled at anyone in awhile. He had a hunch this girl wasn't stable, maybe that was why she looked like she was hiding something. He obviously wanted to catch her name before he went, might as well. She had his name, which honestly wasn't smart, since she could be a PKer, he didn't worry about it though, he had one of the highest speed skills in SAO, along with his rapier it made him a formidable opponent to any enemy's. He glanced over at her, his eyes lingered on her for a moment, she looked familiar.

The boy left his name before breaking off. Kazuki, he said. She would remember that. Akari thought on it as she made her way to the front-line groups encampment in the town. Perhaps he figured she was on to him and decided to bail out before causing more suspicion. Yes, that made sense, but she was already onto him. He would probably try watching from a distance, or another green member may be sent in his place, one she had not seen yet. Still, she would outsmart them. They probably thought she was weak, and she would use that to her advantage. A short while later, she arrived at the encampment and met with her section leader, Barak.

"Akari, welcome back. Did you verify the information? Was it the floor labyrinth?" Barak asked with a warm smile.

Akari merely look down at the ground as she recalled what had happened just one hour ago in her head. Barak's expression turned to one of concern.

"Akari, where's Herod? Did Jin finally drag him to the tavern and stick you with the report?" he asked softly.

"No," Akari began, her voice breaking. "The remaining members of Scout Team Four were eliminated during a player killer ambush while investigating dungeon."

"Impossible..." Barak stated in disbelief. "Why don't you take some time off from the front-lines? We will investigate this incident, other scout teams have been ambushed as well, although none of them almost entirely wiped out..."

"No sir, I am fine. My only goal is to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice. I have their names." she stated calmly, her composure restored.

Barak stood up from his desk and transferred a written item into her inventory.

"Very well, meet with Field Captain Tusk in three days at the specified location. I promised I would send him our most experienced and dedicated players to help put down the player killers. I can think of no one better to assist. Until then, take some time to care for your equipment and health, fighting these renegade players will be much different than ordinary monsters. You should know."

Akari saluted Barak and then departed. Three days... until then, she would prepare to her utmost. But for now, the tavern was calling to her. A crowded place would make it more difficult for any spies to keep tabs on her. She picked a busy pub on the main thoroughfare, entered, ordered a drink and brooded in a corner of the establishment. The alcohol had no effect on her, so she had plenty of time to think.

Kazuki walked with her till they reached the encampment, he didn't say anything though, he noted that next time he wanted to b friendly or helpful, don't be to those you just bump into. He made his way to the tent where players were organized to squads, he was obviously going to be a scout, due to his high tracking, listening and speed skills. Even if he could handle heavy combat. He was ready, they told him to stand-by till he was assigned to a new squad. And then he remembered, the girls name had appeared as Akari, he had wondered why she seemed familiar. He had been apart of scout team four. At least till he was switched to scout team two, but akari had been a member of that scout team. He didn't know her personally but he had seen her fight. Still, he would keep it to himself. He entered a tavern, sitting at one of the stool's and ordering some vodka. Out of the corner of his eye he saw akari walk in, he said nothing though as he drank.

"OK. Good night.", said Dremo. Before going upstairs, he had one last thing to do. He entered the kitchen and took Kaiana's whiskey bottle that was sitting on the table in front of her. It was half empty.
"Enough drinking for tonight."

"OK. Good night.", said Dremo. Before going upstairs, he had one last thing to do. He entered the kitchen and took Kaiana's whiskey bottle that was sitting on the table in front of her. It was half empty.
"Enough drinking for tonight."

"FIne." Kaiana said, lifting her head from the table. She got up, and headed upstairs. She chose a room, closed the door, and fell asleep in seconds. Today had past worn her out.

Dremo threw the whiskey bottle away and went to sleep, tired.

Denz wanted to know what made him remember everyone he lost once more. Was it because he saw illusions of them while he had this poison? He didn't know really what was it and didn't want to figure it now. He just wanted to control them again when he did when losing his loved ones. He kept walking around the same places in the town because he had nothing better to do. He didn't want to just stay still or go into forest when it's night and his health is low.

Wiking made a final round, turning of the lights and making a inventory of the bar "So what did they drik this eavning? 1 bottle of sake, 3 bottles vodka, 1 wine, 1.5 whiskey.. and a rum" he mumbled, noting it in a note book. he then went to bed, and made sure to go up before the others, so breakfast was ready at 8

[Land of the Risen]

All night, Lazarus laid on the roof of the house, laying and looking at the stars. What all had happened today? How could he even some it all up? Had she really chosen him with all of her heart? Question after question, cigarette after cigarette, Lazarus tried to rack his brain and heart for answers, until morning rose.

"You did this...It was all you!" A woman screamed.
"How!? How is this my fault..? It's not like I knew that would happen!" Kaiana screamed back, tears falling from her eyes. The two were yelling in a hospital room. The flat-line could be heard beeping its dull sound. A straight, continuous beep. A pale figure lay next to the monitor. Emma.
"You know what you did! You killed her!"
"No I didn't! She's my best friend! I wouldn't ever do that!"
"Stop your lying you cheap little brat. I know what you did. I'll sue you until your living under the highway!"
"I didn't mean to crash! I never did!" Kaiana cried.
"You know what you did. You killed your only friends. Live with that." The woman said, stomping out of the room.
"I'm so sorry Emma...I'm so sorry..." Kaiana wailed, kneeling beside her friends lifeless body.
"I didn't mean to hurt anyone..."
Kaiana woke with a start. The room was washed over in pale light from the moon. Kaiana sighed, and got out of bed. She went outside, and sat in front of the house. Why did she have to remember Emma now? After two years...Kaiana thought she'd gotten over it. Apparently not.

Patients came in from all over the city, and naturally the forest. Seneki had enlisted some help to back him up, as the massive flow of injured players was too much for just one healer. He was the only official healer in the city; being on the front lines meant most of the population were soldiers. They couldn't heal themselves, so they went to Seneki. Even with all of his expertise, however, there were still a few people that simply couldn't be saved. Seneki made sure they died painlessly, or at least as painless as could be achieved. Medical supplies in the city were in short supply, as most of the population was working on clearing the dungeon and had very little time to go out into the wilderness and bring back materials. Eventually, Seneki had to resort to hiring mercenaries. Not cheap ones, either. But that was of no matter, as long as the job got done. The players would thank him for it, and in a relatively short time word was out about "Seneki, the Great Doctor of Floor Three." It wasn't a title he used himself. Seneki stayed humble. He was, after all, just doing his job in this messed up world.
