That moment when you're working on a group project and you're the only one who actually knows French grammar, so you're stuck rewriting everyone's sentences so that they actually make sense... at one in the morning....

I've also had to do it for English-language projects countless times, which makes me scared for our society. When people can't even write in their own language (which is also, for most students, the language of instruction at school) properly, you know there's something wrong.

EDIT*: Also when it's obvious the people in your group just wrote everything in English and put it through Google Translate.

I honestly have trouble understanding Google Translate French. It makes no fucking sense. It can barely distinguish between the parts of speech. And don't even get me started on its conjugation. :/

EDIT4: Oh, and when someone writes "traveller" because they can't remember the actual French word and they figure, "Well, I can just stick an -er on the end of the English word and that makes it a real French verb obviously."

Which means, literally, "The leather silhouette coloration is generally luminous and transparent, for the most part in black, red, yellow, and green."

I deleted the vast majority of the paragraph in which that sentence was found, incidentally.

Also, I find myself constantly faced with instances in which someone tried to translate something by making an English word sound French, only for them to have unwittingly written a word which means something completely different from what they actually meant. When said people are supposed to actually speak French well, this can be quite frustrating.
