Grammatically, or in asserting that Nat-Spi looks like an egg?

Both, I believe. According to the internet, "parecerse" is the infinitive, whereas you want the indicative present third-person singular "se parece" (although I don't speak Spanish, so I'm not 100% certain). And I most certainly do not look like an egg (or a testicle, for that matter).

You'd be right in the second bit, though the infinitive is "parecer". I don't know about actual grammatical terminology very much, but "parecerse" is something that is said of something exclusively in regard to another thing (and it's also an entirely different word, apparently).

And really, the only things you need to be able to say in multiple languages is "Where is the bathroom", and the lyrics to Somebody to Love.

The most fascinating part, for me, is that, after a millennium of linguistic upheaval on a scale nearly unheard of in other languages, there's still the odd word or even phrase that's somewhat intelligible.

Oh, definitely. It's really interesting reading or listening to Old English and finding a word that I understand. Like, "Hey, I know you. Fancy seeing you here." (Does no one else talk to words?)

Yeah; I was doing a linguistics thing a while back (did pretty shittily) and "maidn" or "maithen" (replace th with thorn) or something came up, and it did indeed mean maiden, and it was like "oh, hello! a baby photo!"

It sounds like the kind of food that would be right up my alley, but stay-at-home-ness and being 16 prevent me from getting at it, and it's frustrating.
