Sorry; I tend to assume the worst of people regarding this (not necessarily in terms of malevolence but rather ignorance), because that's usually the correct assumption.

I've been to the ballet a couple times, the most recent being Don Quixote a couple years ago. It's interesting, but honestly, not really my thing.

We have one guy voicing Alice (We're doing Alice in Wonderland) like Golem, our director took a day off to celebrate her dogs birthday, a girl who has to finish every book she begins even if it sucks, a stage that screams "somebody gonna die" which is intentional and a boy who says he can be prom princess (he's a very feminine boy).

Meanwhile the band kids are throwing Wawa yogurt at each other (only the spoons) and one of them was kissing and hugging his girlfriend, without knowing who she was.

Yesterday, our Drama Club about got into a fistfight because someone said that Revenant didn't deserve an Oscar (our teacher keeps us updated on Oscar predictions, as she notices them), and we've managed to turn The Crucible into a comedy.
