Lovecraft was wrong. Cthulhu and the rest of Lovecraft's pantheon will never take over the world with their Chaos.

We have long since mastered it, put it in a bottle, and called it the internet.

Lovecraft was a strange muffin.

Was also racist.

Like, really racist.

I believe there was a site for D&D rolelaying with chats with integrated dice calculators and other tools. Can't remember the name unfortunately.

Hm, I've read the one about the de la Poers/Delapores, didn't recall much racism there, but I guess not much opportunity for it to appear. I guess he might've been.

He may seem so simply because he addressed race in his writings as a thing of fear.

I don't think he really was more racist than others, necessarily, simply that he used it as a means of creating terror. It's like assuming Steven Moffat really hates statues.

I mean, he was definitely racist. But more than others? Perhaps more vocal.

Upon encountering a Clara Oswald figurine and a Weeping Angel figurine side by side in a store the other day, I promptly turned them to face each other. An image of an Angel becomes an Angel, after all, so best keep it frozen with the eternal gaze of a little plastic person. *nod*

I will never stop recommending this blog. It's a beautiful resource site for military sci-fi aficionados, the guy's writing style is fun and easygoing and he knows his military stuff without being a rabid crypto-fascist. Also, most importantly, he hates Warhammer and its misuse of the term "marine".

To be fair, Warhammer makes no fucking sense.

He sure is melodramatic about Medal of Honor, though.

Edit: just found this on his page further down, holy shit
Some people jerk off to Star Wars games wanting to be Jedi or Boba Fett (who is uber-cool BTW), some wet their panties playing a Starfleet captain or donning armor and going on a magical quest. Not me. I want my boots dusty, my M4A1 warm, and my terrorists dead as I hunt them in mountains of Afghanistan with my quality guys watching my six as I watch theirs.

Is he fourteen years old?

"Boba Fett (who is uber-cool BTW)"

I have issues with this. In the EU, Boba Fett was expanded and shown as the greatest bounty hunter in the Galaxy. Except, in the Original Trilogy, he is just some guy in armor that doesn't quite know how to use his jetpack. If he was the greatest warrior in the Galaxy, why did he fly straight into a giant desert vagina monster? Maybe he had an off day. Whatever.

But, with the EU no longer canon, he is just some guy in armor again. Personally, it would make sense if the Boba Fett we see in the Original Trilogy and Prequels is not the same as the new Boba Fett, should he be brought back. Maybe someone recovers his armor and uses it to get a head start in the bounty hunter game? Maybe they become the great warrior? Or maybe he wasn't feeling that well on the day he flew into the giant desert vagina monster.
