Many Japanese would die if a allied invasion happened thought many allies would of died as well given how hard it would of been to invade the islands in the first place.

It wouldn't be hard to invade the islands at all. The US had complete naval and aerial superiority, the Japanese navy and air force were pretty much useless - it would not be that difficult to launch an amphibious landing. The most difficult part would be fighting the Japanes.e

In 1996 Britain began a massive military buildup over fears of soviet aggression. Since '96 the government has continuously ridiculed and exaggerated the Soviet actions in East Europe. A new phrase was coined "Fed up with Red" it has become very popular with t-shirts Decals and shop windows popping up everywhere.

In 1998 British officials began revamping the infrastructure and communications of all parts of the country, especially South Africa. The Roads, and Buses act has helped pull even remote parts of the country to modern times and has allowed for ease of travel of people, goods, and emergency services. In Rural areas of South Africa, Death rates have plummeted especially for infants. A new golden era could be on the horizon for Britain.

The people in the UK would not stand for the military increases, we are quite pacifist. The largest protest ever in the UK were over the Iraq war. Also, upgrading the armed forces that much would ruin the NHS, Police etc. There would be riots if this happened
