Russia is a pretty cool nation at this point, they are a huge nation with incredible natural resources and abundant man power but are still stuck in a backwards agrarian based economy, they boast a strong military and often try to bully the nations in the Balkan and east European region to give them concessions. In the east, the Russian bear is in constant conflict with the "heathens" comprised of China, the steppe people, and Japan, often trying to receive territory gains in Manchuria and the west regions of china. At this time, Russia is a very dominant force militarily and a fierce opponent, with the chances to fight wars in the west and in the east. However, the Russian people are oppressing the secondary ethnic and religious sects causing much tension, especially among the Muslims and the eastern cultures.
