First off, Britain is more powerful than France. Second, as I've already said, they didn't lose. They won, and held Mexico for three years. Britain doesn't need to hold Mexico for three years. They just need time to take all your stuff and burn everything.

Also, if you invade America, you will need to borrow money. From Britain and France. Who you owe money to. And who support the US.

Actually, Britain was only more powerful at sea, France was more powerful on land. In the Crimea, the British troops were poorly-lead, ill-equipped and ill-trained, it was the French who did most of the work (eg capturing the last fort at Sevastopol)

Wouldn't recommend that, that would basically be declaring war on the entirety of Islam at this time period, not a very good idea. Plus a lot of soldiers would die and then you would feel an insane political backlash.

It's declaring war on Ottoman Islam and it's supporters. The Ottomans are certainly an Empire, but nowhere near their former strength, they are having Corruption and Ethnic Tension problems, Cries for independence in the Arabian peninsula, and a ton of Diseases. If you think a war with the Ottomans at this point would be that difficult, nope.

I recommend you deal with your internal problems before blocking my trade.

The difference is that I'm not being blockaded. Yet. The Ottoman player has only threatened in the OOC to block my trade, witch means sinking Trading ships going to and from me.
