Yes, but there is no doubt it will enrage some people in Europe, considering that they'll have no idea whether or not what will happen to the cotton, even if you promise to sell it. Also, this is likely to bring you in war with the United States, or at least lead to war with the US after the Civil War. Don't expect to be welcomed by the local populace, either. Also, this is assuming you do manage to capture the cotton producing states (namely Texas, which I assume is what your aiming for, as well as a few other states lost in the Mexican-American War). I can't really speak for Britain, but I doubt they're just going to sit around and let you invade Texas; the Confederacy could threaten to burn the cotton fields or something. Europe would survive on surplus of cotton before the war, but sooner or later they are going to feel the effects of it.

Once the Union blockade takes place (assuming it does, ofc) the majority of cotton and other goods coming from the Confederacy are going to be intercepted; the Confederacy would use Cotton Diplomacy to try to get Britain to join the war IOTL. I don't know what Britain's going to do for the Civil War, but Europe can still survive on surplus cotton and cotton from other places for a few more years. If your bent on invading the Confederacy, then I'm not going to stop you.

You didn't win until after the French withdrew from Mexico, leaving the remaining armies weak. If they had had any reason to stay, you would have failed.

Following the American Revolution, the British Empire was a bit of a laughing stock. The Canadian people remained loyal, but also Patriotic. There were only a few that called for a revolution, not for freedom, but to protect themselves because they believed the Empire was becoming weaker and would be unable to protect the Canadian people. Each year more people joined these revolutionaries, they only numbered in the 200s however. In 1800 there were 4 bombings across Canada targeting small British outposts and carried out by these few Revolutionaries, and supported unofficially by the American government.

The British responded by deploying more troops to secure the towns, forts, and outposts. They began abusing their power, and in some places instituted martial law and publicly executed innocent civilians. Arms were being smuggled into the country and being used to arm the roughly 1,000 strong Revolutionary militia. More direct attacks were being carried out, and, in 1804, there was a small skirmish in the western forests of Quebec that left 18 Redcoats dead and 12 Canadian militia dead or dying in a British prison.

When the War of 1812 broke out in 1812(obviously), the British had to face the French in Europe, and the Americans and ,by now, the 2,000 'Free Canadian Army' in America. When the Americans invaded it proved the British could not be trusted to protect the land they cherished. The Free Canadian Army grew to a size of 14,000 armed by the French and Americans. When the Americans and French were either Defeated or beaten back, the people calmed some. It left Scars that could never heal, however, and the Free Canadian Army only lost 2,000 members.

Newspapers published more stories about the British abuse of power, a lot of which was fabricated. Even though they were lies, the stories did spark the long dormant idea of Independence in many people's minds. The Army had roughly 15,000 members and over 30,000 supporters in 1821. Peaceful protests were becoming more common, as were the raids against the British in the frontier. A British ship in the port of Montreal was burned by a large mob of protesters. over 20 civilians were killed. This infuriated the people of Canada. Riots were a common sight. After a few months of chaos a decleration of independence was written up by the Free Canadian Army's leader, Edward Wisnton and his peers and was sent to the King of England. After a fierce debate that lasted months, they finally agreed on the terms and the Republic of Canada was officially formed in 1823.

The economy was horrible, people were poor, and riots continued to fill the streets. It took over 10 years to sort everything up. The main industry is fur-trapping and hunting. Textiles are also produced, but not to a large extent. Forestry is an up-and-coming business. The military remains large, or at least big enough to ward of any threats. The natives are allowed their own land in the east and a lot even in the west. They have the same freedoms as the whites and blacks. The President who is currently serving the the son of the leader Edward Winston from the 'war; for independence and has the same name.
