I think they had 20-something wars. Burma won all the early ones and turned Thailand into a Tributary state. But then Thailand went into badass mode, built up it's military and economy, united under a strong leader, in contrast to Burma's King who had a weak hold on his throne, and, not surprisingly, they won all of the later wars against Burma. The only reason Burma isn't part of Thailand today is because the Brits annexed it.

Here's a fun fact: They may have been friends with the UK, but I'm in a Alliance with the UK. And if France wants to support the Ottomans, then I'll finally accept the repeated Russian offers of help and let Russian influence flow through my country. A UK-Rumania-Russia coalition will, in fact, beat a France-Ottoman coalition. So I would advise you don't support any Ottoman attempts to invade me. As if they would, in their declining state. It would be far smarter for them to focus on their shit economy and corrupt leaders.
