I think they had 20-something wars. Burma won all the early ones and turned Thailand into a Tributary state. But then Thailand went into badass mode, built up it's military and economy, united under a strong leader, in contrast to Burma's King who had a weak hold on his throne, and, not surprisingly, they won all of the later wars against Burma. The only reason Burma isn't part of Thailand today is because the Brits annexed it.
There was also that time a Thai monarch killed a Burmese monarch on war elephants during a Burmese invasion
