[b]House, if any:
none
Personality:snarky, rather detached, can fall back to the two extremes forgiving and condeming people at the same time.
Biography/Background:Grieve, thats his name, atleast the one he made. he couldnt get one before a criminal stabbed his parents with a shiv in their own home, his goal was to kill off the family but the contractor didnt know about the newborn so he kept him hidden and trained him as his apprentice, he never told the young boy, now named grieve, his deadly sin. grieve has even been brought up to have resentment towards his previous family without knowledge they were his previous family, his mentor is soon to be on death's door but he does all he can to keep him alive. he has done many assassination jobs and hopes to kill off wealthy merchants and the like for access to their secret gold stores, wherever they may be, lords and ladies from all over the empire may hire him for any job they require completed and he assures utmost discretion.
Court Position Request, if any:none, and no possibility except as a criminal
Character's view on the Empire?:a fat pig to roast and eat, wealth galore if you look into the right people
Equipment:lockpicks, an examination kit, flashbang and smoke eggshell bombs, dual daggers, bow and arrows, highly fragranced dead rats (to lure guard dogs), re-usable firestriker, poisons of varying potency, paralysis gas sprayer (close range only) and a small trinket to indicate his dislike for religions of all kinds (cults and wizards included as a side note)
Strengths:Stealth and deception, also very good at cracking locks and is somewhat good at psychological evaluation.
Weaknesses:very weak at close combat, has no social skills outside of "i can get that for ya..."
Theme Song:the clock tower theme from the new Thief game
Other:does any kind of stealth-required job, I.E is an assassin AND a thief. also he is my character that i am currently using in an ongoing D&D 5th edition campaign, beforehand i played a lot of fourth edition D&D so i am a relativley experienced RPer, other than that ive played many online roleplaying games including bay12 space station 13 servers and have made attempts at writing some books on my 4e campaigns although these have been fruitless thus far.
RP Sample:
killed a major merchanting clan leader crippling the mining economy of a small town at one point, seems to suffer from a very toned down PTSD but has no detrimental effects other than social problems, he is also rather young and has a rebellious and impulsive attitude, note: inspired by my current D&D 5E character

As this RP is meant to be a worldbuilding effort as well, I'm going to start writing about the history of Pandyssium. You all can post entries here about your houses/realms if you wish.

I imagine my house would have been a bunch of squabbling feudal states that developed out of whatever came before Pandyssium (if anything) that were united by a dynasty that later bowed to Pandyssium peacefully.

For the worldbuilding aspect of this RP, I suggest this dating system:

FY (Free Years): Denoting all the centuries upon centuries of early history before the rise of the Elven Empire. This would probably serve as a formative period for many cultures and precursor states, although I'm sure not everyone wants their house to originate this early. Counts down to zero.

EY (Elven Years): Denoting the three hundred or so years during which the Elven Empire dominated the continent. Counts upward from zero to 317.

IR (Imperial Reckoning): Denoting two things. First, the century-long interregnum between the fall of the Elven Empire (Have we a better name for this?) and the end or near-end of Titus Rathis' conquests. Many realms would have probably been independent kingdoms during this century, until they submitted to Titus. Second, the 437 years of unified Rathis rule over Pandyssium, which I suppose with 102 years of interregnum, would put us at 539 IR.

To clarify, this is just a draft I thought up, nothing more than initial thoughts being written down, so I expect this'll face considerable revision.

@Ghondra I'll allow you your IC post of arresting Garcias, I personally like the plot-twist but just remember 1) You have little evidence to convict him with. One guy's testimony isn't going to cut it especially if you call Tyler as a witness but he contradicts your story. 2) Arresting him at the time of the Caer Aard would be seen as a move to try and illicitly swing the vote, making other houses frown on House Ranger. 3) Considering factors 1 and 2, basically arresting Garcias is going to bring an instant demand from Belrond to give him back. If the demand is refused, that could easily lead to war (but then again, we want that right  )

So, bear these in mind if you're going to keep the arrest in IC up. Or just change it to something less drastic or even just outright ignore it. Who knows what could happen then :D

@Mages Your character is an ambitious criminal in the Imperial Heartlands, eh? I think him and Garcias will get along just fine
.

@Star. I'll TG you some history later if that's alright.

I'll be posting later. Busy night. Also maybe allow @Ghondra to change their mind if they want.

Its not my actions, Its Pannonius, I created my character I don't really control his personality anymore, and I'm not gonna contradict my own app. And why would they frown on House Ranger? Pannonius is the one who's arresting him.

Edit: Oh, DKM, Saerondr is behind the barred gate and wall of Erlend's estate, not in his own quarters.

Hope there will be a reaction soon enough

Also guys is it just me or some players hadn't posted in ages?

Working on post now.
You're correct.

Annihilators of Chan Island wrote:@Ghondra I'll allow you your IC post of arresting Garcias, I personally like the plot-twist but just remember 1) You have little evidence to convict him with.

Fair enough. No civil war threat, but I'm sure Pannonius can see a bad situation to actually do an arrest. Of course, he still has the chance to pretend he just wanted to say 'hi' .

That sounds good to me.
Also, is it Rahtis, or Rathis? Which one do you guys want it to be.

I've been working around the idea that it was 'Rahtis'. I assume it is Rahtis (-h first) anyway....
This nation is modeled on being my absolute worst dystopia imaginable. In no way do the Annihilators reflect my opinions, in fact I am totally against almost every single policy they enact.
I support insanely high tax rates, do you?

I honestly really like to write issues.
