I love me elves, so expect a variation of them.

Or maybe an Orlesian Seeker....

Damn, I wish it made sense for an Elf to be a Seeker.

It may not be the most likely circumstance, but it is possible. I figure if there are any elves in the Seekers, it would be someone who was extemely loyal to the chantry and would have had to help the Divine personally, who would be alive in this game. So its possible your character could be the first elven seeker.

I'm very much amped to get us going. We've got four of us, including me, so I'm thinking two more and we'll get the IC up then! I have it written out, mostly.

Well, he'll be in good company. For now the band is a merry bunch of loyal dwarves. I take it his destination is Denerim then?

He's heading anywhere but Kirkwall, so Fereldan seems an opportune chance for him to find something to do with himself.

Name: Tanon
Race: Elf
Gender: Male
Class: Mage, Dalish
Bio: Born to an unknown clan of the Dalish, Tanon showed magical capabilities at a young age and as such was raised as his clan's First. Maturing in the wilderness of Orlais, Tanon spent the majority of his youth by his Keeper's side, learning and studying. Saddened and disgusted by how far elven-kind had fallen, Tanon instead turned his focus from his study of Elven lore and history to current world events, such as the worsening situation in Kirkwall. While his clan roamed Orlais, Tanon secretly sneaked into numerous Orlesian galas and festivals, disguising himself as a servant. He found the Orlesian nobility to be highly fascinating, except their distaste for the Dalish however. Inspired by the opulent halls and gardens of Orlais, Tanon swore he would one day possess such wealth and power. Unfortunately, he sneaked away one too many times and was discovered by his clan's carpenter. Forbidden to leave their encampment by the Keeper, Tanon soon longed for the halls of the nobility while stuck, under guard, in a forest. During the mage rebellion, his clan was approached first by a large group of rebel mages looking for aid, who were turned away, and then by a larger group of Templars who accused the clan of harboring apostates. Needless to say, fighting broke out and Tanon took advantage of the scenario to escape the camp and his clan, leaving to take advantage of political and societal instability furthered by the Breach. Armed with potent arcane abilities, an understanding of Orlesian culture and politics, and a silver tongue, Tanon hungers for power, wealth, and the betterment of all Elven kind.
RP Example: None on NS.

Absolutely accepted, excellent bio. A few notes though, we're starting our alternate history RP during the civil war and the breach has not yet been opened, that dastardly plan is still in the works by Corypheas. We did this so we could both have the world in a stable spot where ther land hasn't been hugely altered, and so that we could tell a story where all of our characters can make broad changes and shape the world around them. So, all you have to do is drop the breach part and you're good to go!

Also, I think I'll get the IC started when we have five people, myself not included. So, hopefully soon!

Dropping the Breach part won't be a problem. As for my starting location, I'll be in Val Royeaux.

Nation Name: Illan

Name: Arvien Claudel Argenca de Royeaux (Argenca is pronounce Ar-jen-suh; and Arvien is his first name.)
Race: Elf
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance:
An album of my Elfquisitor I'm proud of; it accidentally duplicated some images on the upload. Sorry :P

Seeker Argenca

He wears the following robes:
Image
With the robes he wears a Silverite breastplate bearing the logo of the Seekers, along with a set of Silverite bracers, elbow guards, knee guards, and boots.

Along with the following, Arvien tends to follow Orlesian tradition by sometimes donning a mask along with a black hood. This mask is expressionless; it has a smooth white face, a very slight mouth, and blank, black eyes. Such a mask resembles on outsider in Orlesian culture, a stigma of which Arvien has placed on him.

Class: Seeker of Truth - Warrior (Think Templar, but with more setting Lyrium ablaze inside one's blood.)
Starting Area: I would like to wait and see where everyone starts at, and then decide, as I do not wish to lose any chance for interactions.

Bio:
Seeker of Truth Correspondence; entitled to Lord Seeker Lambert.

-On your request, Lord Seeker, the following writings consist of the information that the Chantry Sisters, Clerics, Grand Clerics, and the Cathedrals' archives have on an "Arvien Claudel Argenca" as you requested.
-Seeker Pentaghast

(Attached to the letter is a long list of historical writings on the person in question, which seems to be written in the form of a quick report by Seeker Pentaghast.)

After extensive analysis on this "Arvien Argenca" you requested, Lord Seeker, I have turned up very little on his exact origins. Reaching a dead end for a thorough report on his childhood from the Chantry's officials, I turned to question his family themselves, the Argencas. The Argencas, as I learned, are a wealthy merchant family that lives in Val Royeaux, thus given why much of his late childhood to teenage year history can be told by the Chantry Sisters of the city themselves. After having a brief time of tea and introduction to Phillipe and Claudia Argenca, the "parents" of Arvien, I went to asking them questions of their son's life, as ordered. They were compliant and pleasant, and were happy to aid me once I explained why I was asking about their son.

They told me that Arvien was, of course, not their son of birthright. With Arvien being an elf himself, they "adopted" the elf as an infant when he simply appeared in their carriage during travel in a merchant caravan. They stated he was simply placed in a finely weaved basket, with distinctive green tattooing of a leafless tree on his face, and a very small amulet of a similar motif. Also, there was a single note folded into the infant Elf's hand, which states "His name is Arvien". As opposed to most Orlesian nobles, the Argencas were not nearly as racist or cruel towards elves as their countrymen. In fact, from what I was told and witnessed myself, the few Elven servants the Argencas had were treated as near equals, having quarters of similar quality to their own and eating their meals with them, like an extended family, it seemed.

The Argencas informed me that some of these servants had been in their employment since Arvien's childhood, and they served as teachers as well as figures of authority when they were away on business. The servants gave Arvien teachings of Elvhen culture, but also taught him of human culture and traditions, such as the Chant of Light and more about Andraste herself. Along with that, they informed me that Arvien never associated with many other than these servants as a younger one; he was neither accepted by the human children for simply being an Elf nor the Elves of the Alienage due to his....better condition then theirs.

This Arvien seems to be a bit....weak willed, so far. You aren't considering him, are you?

- Seeker Pentaghast

After I was finished speaking with the Argencas, I moved onto some of the smaller Chantry chapels near Arvien's home in Val Royeaux. I had hoped to question him directly, but alas, he was nowhere to be found at the moment. The Chantry sisters had only good things to say of Arvien, that he first began coming to the Chantry devoutly as a young teenager. Nearly immediately, they reported, he was enthralled by the chapel and the beauty of the Andraste. For the next several years, they stated, he spent more and more time in the Chantry, which was odd given his race. They couldn't say much more about his activities during these teenage years, except more intensified time and actions on behalf of the Chantry. They did state he had been writing a number of letters to the Grand Cathedral, however, and that he wished to have an audience with Justinia. He was around sixteen years old when he first did this, and the sisters specifically noted how excited and ecstatic he was the day he actually got a letter back; from Divine Justinia herself. Perhaps he was at the Cathedral during this day? I am not sure. Having taken enough of the sisters' time, I left. Truly, it seems that Arvien is simply an elf with a devotion to the Chantry that is odd for his kind. I do not see why he is remarkable to you, Lord Seeker.

-Seeker Pentaghast

Shortly after Seeker Pentaghast sent this report to Lord Seeker Lambert, word was sent to Arvien in the form of a choice. Due to his "great willpower" and "grand faith" he was chosen to be in the Seekers of Truth, should he accept. Arvien was immediately thrilled; He, an elf, was being asked to join an order of even higher authority than the Templars. But why him? That's all he could think.

After around a week of discussing this choice with his "parents", Arvien finally decided. At the age of seventeen, he left with an envoy of four Seekers of Truth to be taken to Lord Seeker Lambert. Two years later, he completed his Vigil, after a vigorous year of training in blade, shield, combat, and simply general training. Due to his Elvhen blood, the powers he gained from his Vigil were extremely strong. The ability to set an adversary's Lyrium in their blood ablaze was intensified so much it could nearly cause the subject to combust, given enough focus. Arvien never looked back, deciding this path as a Seeker of Truth. It was tough, but challenging; it made him a better person. As well as an example for his people; being the first Elven Seeker gave him a burden that was larger than it seemed.

On three different occasions, he traveled to Val Royeaux to visit his family, as well as simply enjoy his home again. He has a thick Orlesian accent now, as a result of nearly his whole life spent there. On each trip he spent to Val Royeaux, he made a trip to the Grand Cathedral, and even visited Divine Justinia herself. It was rumored that Justinian allowed Arvien to become a Seeker from a direct order to Lambert, but Arvien wasn't sure if that was true. Nevertheless, he found Justinia to be a friend to him. One he enjoyed talking to.

It has been three years since Arvien's Vigil now, and his third year as a Seeker of Truth. While his path is difficult indeed, he wouldn't have chosen it any other way.

RP Example: The Mass Effect Factions RPs, of which have multiple installments; I created my own sci-fi RP a while back called "The Vast Unknown"; I have participated in one previous Dragon Age RP on NationStates. Plus, I've been here a while. But I'm mostly too lazy to search my post history and post a link here, but tell me if you really want one, and I'll put it here.

Absolutely accepted. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. As for your starting location, it'll take a bit for groups to form, so you can really start wherever you'd like. Have an entry story ready for him and use that to incorporate how parties form. Wherever you find yourself, you will most assuredly have interactions.

IC will be up either sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, starting with a world state of affairs letter to the chantry via agents and then following up with our solo introductions.

The Chantry letter that starts things out goes through the Left Hand of the divine, not the Right and Cassandra, so I'd say not for the open, but we can certainly work out your character feeding information to the Seekers and Cassandra specifcially. And on the second, done.

I'm not sure if I want him to have actually met Cassandra directly; if you look at my bio, I never mentioned if Cassandra met him, just did research for Lucius on him.
