Defiance

Hugo considered the soldier’s offer. It was certainly lucrative, protection plus all that jazz though he wasn’t sure if he even needed half of those things.

“I’m not sure what a fellow like me could do with a power out here in Louisiana. They sounds like a bitch to maintain.” He responded at last. “Plus I don’t need caps. I have more than enough to live a happy life…so I supposed your good word would be enough.”

He smiled, being friendly come easy to him.

“As for attacking Vendetta, I hope that you do understand that it is an entire city. That means hundreds of people, with guns. While I’m sure your armor can endure a whole lot Mr. Robinson, even you can’t possibly take on all of those people. You won’t have enough ammo anyway.

As much as I love a good Quixotic adventure, I don’t want to die pointlessly either. What you need right now is some muscles and a plan. Don’t know about the plan but I do know of this little band of mercs just south of Defiance calling themselves The Nightshades. They’re capable but quite expensive lot, though I’m sure the Enclave has deep pockets.”

The ex-Centurion had heard a lot of nasty stories about the Enclave back in the days, something about them wanting to kill everyone in the wasteland for being impure. Hugo had always though that sounded downright crazy and were probably exaggeration but then again there couldn’t be smoke without a fire. Nonetheless, whatever they were they couldn’t possibly be worse than Caesar’s Legion. If he helped anyone, might as well be the tough guy that might kick Caesar’s ass. So for now, he’d play along.

“Other than that small problem, I have no love lost for the criminals in Morgan City and would rather have more civilized folks occupy the place anyway. I’ll be glad to travel with you folks.”

Victor Robinson,
Defiance

"Well, you're certainly useful, now aren't you? An experienced fighter, and you can direct me towards a decent mercenary company. I already have a dozen hired guns coming alongside to help in the fight, but they're no Enclave soldiers; admittedly, the only reason I enlisted their aid was to bolster my numbers. I, alone, can handle a few criminals, and while it's unlikely any of them are going to have big enough guns to threaten me, even an Enclave veteran can't handle hundreds of people single handedly. As for the expense, well, I have a good enough stockpile of caps; selling equipment from raiders is a surprisingly lucrative business to be in. Of course, I don't actually have any funding from the proper Enclave, truth be told, and all the expenses are being paid for directly by myself. I came to Louisiana in a squad of six soldiers, including myself, on Enclave orders, but, unfortunately, we had a bit of a vertibird accident, and I was the only survivor; in the meantime, I'm doing whatever I can to bolster the Enclave's cause here in the Louisiana wasteland until the next expedition shows up.

"The Enclave wouldn't usually outright annex territory, nor is it my orders to do so. However, when I learned that the Brotherhood of Steel is here in Louisiana, as well as, if what you say is true, Caesar's Legion, I knew that we would need an edge to fight them with, and a defensive position, tax income, and resources from territory would all be of great use to the Enclave in our fight against the Brotherhood. I'm not going to divulge why we came in the first place, since I'm not in the market for selling Enclave secrets, but I will tell you that it is of the utmost importance that the Enclave neutralize all threats and rivals in the region, including the Brotherhood of Steel and Caesar's Legion. Now, enough dilly dallying, let's go hire these mercenaries of yours; we'll need all the firepower we can get when the time to fight comes along. After that, we head into Morgan City and secure it as an Enclave outpost; its annexation will do much good for us." Victor explained to Hugo.

Not wanting to waste any more time talking, Victor motioned for them to leave. "You can lead the way, Hugo, since I'm going to assume you know where these Nightshades are based. While Enclave education is certainly high quality, as you might be able to guess from the fact that our technology far surpasses that of even the Brotherhood, I can't exactly say that I'm well versed on this region's geography, much less mercenary companies based in it." Victor finished.

"Oh, fine, forget me, the guy who has lived here for his whole life." Gunny said jokingly " I have a hundred caps to buy mercenaries, I think we all gotta chip in though. " Gunny said. " Even you guys, in the metal armor" he said to his current mercenaries. Gunny was cheap as hell. " How does one wear power armor?" He asked curiously. He had never thought it needed special training.

That was annoying as fuck. It didn't help that he was dustier than a dust storm. Urban proceded to crawl his was to the edge of the hill, weapon ready. He ssw six men as what Rocky said. Urban whispered to them and started crawling down hill to get into position.

Albert L'Auberge
Council Room
Providence

Albert stood up, eager to get his view across, and cleared his throat. "The death of the Mayor is a tragedy, but one I believe we could have prevented. For years I have attempted to get this council to understand the need to check those entering Providence more thoroughly, yet time and time again you voted against my motion. Now we have a serial killer rampaging about the town, and a group of crazed militants have openly murdered the Mayor in his own office. This was supposed to be one of our most secure buildings, and yet now his office lies stained with his blood. How do we convince the citizens, the merchants and even ourselves that Providence is safe? I hope that this council will elect a strong mayor, one who will put the safety of the citizens above certain frivolous liberties" he said, pausing to allow the council members to think for a few seconds.

"Now, If the Marshal should accept, I will be offering the services of some of my casino security officers and Chief Adams to aid the local militia in this time of great need. If my resources can be of any further help, then I shall commit more. This tragedy must not prove the fall of our fair town" he said, finishing his short speech and taking a seat. Though he didn't really want to loan out some of his security guards, or provide any relief, it was something that he would have to do. If he remained isolated from the event, then the people would probably begin rumours that he was behind the murder, or that one of his thugs was the Providence Plugger. False of course, but the gossip of citizens could prove deadly if not quelled.

'Sawbones'
I-10, West of Defiance

Sawbones extended one of his working eyestalks, scanning the piece of paper. "Help? This soldier doesn't need help my fellow American, though America does need all the volunteers for the war, sign up today!... Curse these damned speeches, idiot Brotherhood scribes left several flaws in my programming" he said, managing to force through a few words of his own choosing. The Brotherhood scribes had accidentally locked his speech patterns, causing him to only be able to say certain things. He was able to exploit a few loopholes to get a bit of speech through, though it was far from perfect.

Hey brothers and sisters, Crawdaddy has some bad news today.

Mayor Gregor Bolden of Providence has joined his son in death after a tragic shooting. My details are sketchy but an armed man forced his way passed security and burst in on the mayor while he was in a meeting with local bounty hunters and after a hasty exchange of hysteric words the mayor was gunned down.

The bounty hunter was able to kill the mayor's attacker by performing a brainectomy with hot lead but it was already too late for poor Gregor Bolden who had also caught one in the dome piece. There is no evidence suggesting that this is related to the Plugger murders and may be a random, or accidental, act of violence and Crawdaddy will tell you more if he learns anything else.

To Mayor Gregor Bolden, rest in peace man. I remember that this was always a favorite of yours, and wherever you might go after death I hope you get to hear it at least one more time.

Senior Knight Samuel, Outside of the Mayor's Office

"Hello, I'd like to speak to the mayor of this settlement." Samuel said as he entered the lobby area, pretending to be unaware that the mayor had died. He had formulated a plan at this point, one he was almost certain would make it so the Gatekeepers were looked upon more favorably in the Baton Rouge area. Truth be told, Samuel didn't think Jeremiah actually wanted to shoot the mayor. From what he had gathered, someone had shot Jeremiah, surprising him and causing him to fire his weapon. A Gatekeeper scout had been watching the building from a distance, gathering information.

Rocky, The Front

The Regulator reached a hand out to stop Urban, "I say we sit tight and see if they move on, besides that shotgun isn't much use against the armored guys, most of the pellets would just bounce off unless you were close enough to spit on them.", it was a bit of an exaggeration but hopefully made the point, "If they move we don't need to waste any ammunition and put ourselves in harm's way. If we have to engage them I'll provide cover fire from here so that you and Monet can get into good firing positions."

Council Chambers
Providence

The various council members nodded their heads in accent. The Marshal stood again and looked at each and every member of the council in turn. "I believe we can all agree a vote is in order to put checkpoints at all entrances and exits to and from our fair city. All in favor say I", an almost resounding aye came from the crowd. Only those that had their hands in the caravan business said nothing. It would hurt their business, but should they speak out against this action, they would forever be labeled un-patriotic.

The Marshal then turned to Albert and continued, "I would gladly accept any help y'all can offer to find the Plugger, and the bastards that killed the Mayor." Because of Albert's offering of help, most if not all the other council members would send at least piecemeal offerings of aid. "I believe this will be all we need to discuss for tonight. Unless anyone has anything further to say, I suggest we all get some much needed rest, and resume on the morrow." The Marshal looked from face to face to see if anyone wanted to speak their peace.

Sokarus
I-10

Sokar looked at Dog and shrugged, then waved for Sawbones to follow. They'd head to Providence and see if anyone there could have the know-how to fix the robot. Caesar's teachings drilled all his people to distrust, if not outright hate almost every kind of technology. But Sokar had seen what good technology could do in the wastes, especially for dying tribals with diseases that could easily be cured if they had access to an auto-doc or two. Even among the ranks of the Legion, Sokar had seen cholera ravage entire Centurias and put them out of action for weeks on end. But what did Sokar know, he was, or had been a cog in the machine that was Caesar's Legion.

Sokar pulled out a map of the area and pointed to a spot on the map called Baton Rouge. He held it up for Sawbones to see. Once they got there, maybe Sawbones could be repaired, and maybe, just maybe he could restore the function of his tongue. But Sokar knew, deep down, that he wouldn't be getting his voice back.

"Fuck, no." Monet hissed as he pointed over. "They're probably looking for you Rocky. They said something about automatic fire and shit so yeah. They probably won't touch Urban, which gives him enough time to close the gap and ask for directions."

The men continued to walk, one of them stopping and looking back to make sure they weren't being followed. The group began to pass by before one of the men stopped.

"Hey, shit, there's tracks over there on the hill. Look at that boys." One of the men called out before Monet groaned under his breath.

"They're looking for a hunter and a man with an automatic weapon. We should be good if Urban goes out and tries to get them to leave or something." Monet devised as he heard footsteps climbing up the rock covered ridge next to them. "Hurry up, or else we're going to be here for a while."

Urban
The Front, Northern Lousiana

Urban quickly nodded to Monet and stood up. He walked slowly down the hill with Beatrice acting how a roaming merchant would be. Thankfully he had some caps if they wanted to sell something. He holstered his shotgun but kept his .45 Auto handy just in case. Looking as inconspicious as possible he saw the six men and approached them in a relaxed manner.

"Hello there. My I ask which direction is Saint Jacques?"

They looked at him suspicious and he kept his hand on his pistol. He needed some heavier guns after this bullshit. The lead man then spoke.

"Well its over that way. Mind if we search your Brahmin? There's been some of our buddies who's been shot with a Automatic Rifle. Just a precaution for us."

Urban nodded and opened up Beatrice's compartments. They rumaged around looking for a gun. He was confident he was safe until one of them said.

"What's this collar thingy?"

The leader's eyes widened as he said

"Holy shit, he's a slav....."

Urban had quickly shot the man in the head with his pistol, splattering the ground with his brains. Beatrice then proceeded to charge the other 5 men as Urban took cover from the suprised men behind a particularly large rock. He took a shot once again from cover and hit one of the unarmored men in the kneecaps, paralysing him. He then waited as a wave of bullets pelted his cover. He hooed Rocky and Monet would start firing soon.

Oh fucking hell Monet thought as he looked over the hill and fired his rifle into one of the dazed and armoured riflemen.

The man collapsed, crumpling into a pile and lying still and limp for a while before Monet ducked as a burst of automatic sub-machine gunfire raked his position. He looked over at Rocky and nodded before slamming the bolt back into place on his rifle.

The poachers quickly scrambled for cover. One of them managed to grab the dead armoured rifleman's varmint rifle before heading behind a pile of rocks. The two others scrambled to different locations behind rocks, bringing out their 9mm Sub-machine guns and firing at both the position Monet had fired from and Urban's location. Another one slid behind a broken down car that was in the valley and opened up with rapid bolt action fire from his hunting rifle as a firefight basically broke out. Monet groaned as he sat there waiting for the men to reload as he leaned over to Rocky.

"You better have a good plan otherwise we're fucked beyond belief." Monet hissed as rounds rained overhead of their cover.

Urban
The Front, Northern Louisiana

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Urban drew his machete. Reloading his auto pistol and proceeding to run towards the men hiding by the rocks. He had his pistol on his left hand and his machete on right. He shot towards the man who has hiding by the wreaked car in the valley, forcing him to take cover while Urban ran over the rocks and beheading one of the men. He then dodged incoming fire from the other man but unfortunately one had hit into his leg, making him limp and causing pain. He then quickly ran and hid behind another patch of rocks as another wave of gunfire hit his cover once more.

Rocky

In answer to Monet Rocky flipped the selector on his rifle from safe to automatic, "My plan is I'll provide cover fire and you'll get around them to attack where they aren't covered, that should force them out of hiding and into the open where they'll be vulnerable and very very dead. Is that enough of a plan for you?"

This was going swimmingly wasn't it? Rocky rolled onto his belly and saw Urban take a hit in the leg before jumping behind more rocks for cover and in response he let a stream of bullets fly toward the man behind the car, "You better get moving D, I can't keep up this kind of fire for very long!"

One of the men with an SMG popped up and Rocky let hell loose in his direction, he might have struck a glancing blow even but he didn't have proper time to aim for a real wounding or killing shot. By his mental count he had around 12 or 13 bullets left in this magazine.

Monet nodded as Rocky provided the fire. Moving underneath the cover, Monet began to head further down the ridge before popping up. He saw four dead bodies, which meant that there was one or two left. Lifting his rifle, he pressed the butt of the rifle to his shoulder and glanced through the scope. He went through the surrounding area before seeing the man who had grabbed the varmint rifle earlier pop up. Monet fired, the round was too much to the left and the man ducked back down again. Snapping the bolt back into place, Monet shifted places, jumping onto the second part of the ridge and leaning behind a rock. The man appeared again and fired at Monet this time, narrowly missing the barrel of Monet's relatively expensive rifle. Cursing under his breath, Monet shifted again before finding the man's head and firing another round. This one sent a mist of red dust flying through the air as the figure disappeared. Rocky had kept the fire up long enough, it was Monet's turn.

Cranking the rifle to the left, he found the body of the man Rocky had fired at. He was alive, the bullet wounds had hit his chest but out here, there was no way he was going to survive. However, that last man was what Monet was looking for. He heard it, the snap of a Remington Hunting Rifle. A bullet came whizzing by Monet's head as he shifted again. This last one was good, he was almost as accurate as Monet was. Huffing under the heat, Monet jumped down to the floor of the valley as he ran for cover, sliding next to the wounded man. Looking down at him, Monet felt a ting of pity before he took out his knife and stabbed the man three times, once in the jugular, second time in the head and the third time in the relative position of the heart just to make sure. Picking up his rifle and leaving the knife in the man, Monet raised it and in one fluid motion found the cover the man was using. It was a broken down car.

Breathing in, Monet began to pull the trigger, but the man was faster. SNAP! Monet's left arm felt heavy suddenly as well with a sharp moment of pain.

"Agh! Mon bras! Fils de pute! Merdre!" Monet screamed in French as he collapsed.

It hurt, a lot more than what Monet remembered. It was a brutal feeling and Monet could only scream as the hunter who had shot him, fired again at someone else.

SNAP!

The Front, Northern Louisiana

Urban saw Monet falling down and reacted quickly, loading another clip into his auto pistol and wasting it on the wreaked car, forcing the enemy to take cover while Urban dragged Monet to another patch of rocks that would cover both of them.

"Alright, Alright. Stop the whining. Here's a stimpack."

Urban injected into the affected area and then looked at the last man shooting at them. Then he remembered. Beatrice had run off somewhere. He had a good idea that would take some good timing though.

"Alright Monet, I'll have to borrrow your rifle. One shot is all that will take. Don't worry I'll take care of her."

Urban then proceeded to whistle. Coming from behind the last enemy, Beatrice charged the man. Now Brahmin were not any bit threatening but they can suprise you like anything out there. The man jumped out of cover as he tried to avoid the charging Brahmin. Urbad then mercilessly shot the man through his head. Killing him off. Urban then returned the rifle to Monet and then called out to Rocky.

"Ay! Rocky. Come on down. Its all good. We need to take a look at Monet though. Gunshot wound and all.

Beatrice came over and Urban patted her. He then lifted Monet into a more comfortable position and started stripping the dead bodies of their equipment. He put them into a pile and they would later decide on a way to split them.

Rocky, Gun battle in the Front

The man behind the car was a decent shot and managed to tag Monet with his hunting rifle in one of the arms, and Urban had taken one in the meat of his calf but Rocky saw an opening when the last one fired at Monet and was in the process of taking it when that damn brahmin got in his way. He silently cursed it out and tried to find another opening but Urban managed to snipe the man with Monet's rifle. Rocky stood quickly and wrapped the carbine's sling around his torso then grabbed his pistol and quickly rushed down the hillside and behind the car - the last man was still alive but bleeding heavily and had one hand clapped too his neck. The wounded man raised his free hand up toward Rocky as if to beg for mercy or parlay but with his wounds the only mercy he could get was a quick end anyway and Rocky fired at his face from point blank to end his life.

The regulator kept the pistol drawn just in case there were still living among the men they had just fought and went to check on the other two, "Desire? Urban? What's your condition?!" he shouted as he made his way around the car to find them.

The Front

"I'm cool Rocky. I stuck a stimpack in Monet's wounds so he'll be fine."

Urban consumed some healing powder and took the bullet out of his leg and wrapped it with a cloth acting as a bandage. He had collected a nice amount of loot and was happy with himself. Now to split it with the rest.

"Alright here's the loot. We got 2 combat armors, 4 different varieties of mercenary apparell. A hunting rifle, a varmint rifle, 2 9mm Submachine guns, 2 Chinese Assault Rifles, a .357 Revolver and a 10mm Pistol. Their corresponding ammunition, some squirrels on a stick a mirelurk cake, some healing powder and a map of the area with some markings. Oh and 5 bottles of pure water."

Urban thought carefully

"Alright, here's the deal. When we get to town. Any similar weapons, I'll fix em all up. Rocky, I'll fix up your Chinese Assault Rifle. Monet, I'll fix up your Hunting Rifle. Now I'll fix up the Armors so in the end we'll have 3 working in decent shape armors. I've got dibs on the Submachine guns and the varmint rifle though, as well as the map. You boys can have the rest. If thats fine with you?

Defiance

“I find myself agreeing with your friend, Victor.” Hugo nodded at the man traveling with the soldier. “While I did spend the last few years in these parts, I am far from well-acquainted with the land. It is a hostile land this Louisiana, much more than back east. I can lead you to the general location of the Nightshades but chances are Mr. Smith knows a shorter and less dangerous path.”

“Anyway, let’s get moving.” Hugo was eager to start, to get out of town and away from the Legion’s sight. “No promises on whether or not they will accept your contract though, Mr. Robinson. Yours is a daring, and might I say foolhardy endeavor while the Nightshades pride themselves on never failing. As I have said before, what you need is a proper plan. Attacking them head-on simply won’t do I’m afraid.”

That’s as much warning he was gonna give the Enclave soldier, if he won’t listen than it is his death he’s walking into. Hugo can always slip away later. Chaos was a good distraction as any to blind the Legion. For now, they head south.

Hey Vault Hunters! Crawdaddy might have a lead for y'all.

If you're one of my crazy brothers or sisters hunting for the fabled Vault-Tech stash than you may want to here 'bout this.

According to Crawdaddy's sources a man came crawling out of the ruins of New Orleans and into Rat City ranting about how he had discovered the location of the fabled vault near to Saint's territory. The man was highly irradiated and suffering from the last stages of radiation poisoning when he described finding the vault but being unable to get inside.

The poor man expired from the radiation but not before, according to the Rat City woman who took care of him, drawing a crude map of where he supposedly found the hidden and inaccessible vault.

Now while ol' CJ reports on this he still does not condone searching for that accursed thing. After all, it has been the ruin of many a young man.

Victor Robinson

"Do you doubt my tactical skills, Hugo? The Enclave doesn't exactly have a reputation for being weak, or for that matter undisciplined, you know. We've held out in battles where the enemy has several times our numbers before, now will be no different. We, unlike whatever petty gangs will be defending Morgan City, have extensive military training; there's such a thing as discipline in the Enclave, and you should never assume an Enclave soldier will rush blindly into combat without a battle plan. I've been serving for more than a decade and a half in the Enclave's military; I have both extensive training and significant on the field experience, from all kinds of different combat situations. Hell, I've lost count of my kill count on the battlefield, I've been killing for that long. I, alone, could take out a large chunk of raiders and gangster scum; adding a small army of mercenaries to my back, I can assure you that Morgan City will fall. It took the God damn NCR an entire army just to defeat the small garrison we had left at Navarro; that should be some indication of the Enclave's strength. However, if you really doubt both my own skills and the skills of your mercenary friends, you're welcome to simply stay behind and do nothing while we bring law and order to Morgan City, and we can reap the spoils of war instead." Victor said, defensively, to Hugo, not particularly appreciating the man implying Victor didn't know what he was doing.

"Do you really think a group of proper military professionals is going to lose a battle to a band of gangs, and raiders? Hell, I'd say the bastards would be too busy killing each other over petty gang rivalries to mount anything even remotely akin to a united defense against an invading force. Morgan City will fall, and the banner of the Enclave will be raised over the city. If you don't have faith that I can win, then, well, there's no room for cowards in the Enclave anyway. As for you, Gunny, first of all, I am not a greedy bastard, and I am not going to take money from my companions; nobody under the protection of the Enclave should have to worry about having their money taken from them. As for how to wear power armor, it's a long, complicated process, and you'd need training in order to wear it properly; if you didn't know what you were doing, you would literally not even be able to move in it. If you prove yourself to be a friend of the Enclave, then I'll consider teaching you how to use it after the battle for Morgan City, and the same goes for you, Hugo. The Enclave pays its debts, and doesn't forget its friends. Now, we aren't going to get anything done by simply talking; Gunny, you can lead the way." Victor continued to the two, eager to hurry up and leave.

Defiance

"I'll still help you, man." The warrior shrugged. "But I'll sleep a lot easier at night knowing there's an attack plan or have some ideas of what will happen afterwards. You speak a lot of words Victor, but out here we respect actions so I'm not sure I trust you yet.

Look, when you convince the Nightshades to help you and then form a proper plan, I'll be your guy. Right now though, let me play the devil's advocate. It'll keep you grounded. Either way it's all good yeah?"

"Let's go see the merc company." Hugo started walking "It's just south of Defiance from what I've heard. Gunny you lead."

Gunny

"Allright now y'all, we're gonna be rushin through back roads, so I hope you got waterproof boots. Otherwise, cold feet will be a small price to pay. Were gonna have to move swiftly to make good time, but we ain't gonna sprint. If you wander from the group were gonna leave you behind for the gators and inbreads. I don't know whichever is worse. Stick to the roads." Gunny said to his friends and mercanaries. He then turned and headed towards the general direction of the Nightshade base.

Arcadia

The people of Arcadia were, for the most part, indifferent to the change in management. After the town was put under martial law, they could hardly tell the difference from when their last Mayor and his goons essentially did the same thing. However, one thing had changed, some believed that if someone could take the mantle of the town, then the townspeople could take it back. Nearly a dozen petitioners went before their new Overlord asking that he be lenient on their fellow townsfolk. They asked that he stop the martial law and allow them to get back to their daily lives. Yet, the more radical individuals had banded together before the dust had even settled, they wanted their town back, and only once their occupiers were dead or gone would they be happy.

Mayor's Offices, Providence

Samuel was stopped almost immediately after he entered the lobby of the Mayor's Office. Several armed men watched him as their Sergeant talked to the stranger. He had one hand on his sidearm and the other was held palm out towards Samuel, telling him to move no further.

"You honestly haven't heard?" The officer asked incredulous. He paused a moment further and then continued, "He's dead, murdered in cold blood. Now unless you have any further questions I kindly ask that you vacate the building." The Officer stared at Samuel waiting for him to leave or keep talking.

"The Front", Northern Louisiana

Monet stood up, taking the knife from the dead body beside him and picking up his rifle with his right hand. Looking up at the sky, he could already see the light fading and knew that they were in trouble. Looking back at Urban and Rocky, Monet shook his head as he walked over, kicking the pile of loot into bits as he walked.

"No looting, we don't have any time at all. If we stay and loot, the scent of dead bodies and blood with bring hell upon us. It's not helping since I've just basically lost my left arm for a bit and it's getting dark out." Monet snapped before continuing to walk, slinging his rifle over his right shoulder. "Hurry up or else you guys can talk with the Backcushes and Jengals. And Urban, we'll talk about your trade profession when we get to Saint Jacques."

Continuing to walk, Monet was so pissed off at both himself for getting hurt and Urban for basically straight up lying to them about his occupation. Monet knew about his kind, the slave traders. Bloody bastards were the only things they were. The only thing that the poacher group had told them was how long until Saint Jacques and what Urban's plans were basically were. Whistling for Rocky, Monet turned around and motioned for Rocky to follow him, privately.
