The Brotherhood is nothing more than a band of thieves trying to steal everybody else's technology. They are hoarders, hoarders and raiders. The Brotherhood is not, by any stretch of the imagination, a good organization.

The Enclave, on the other hand, is trying to restore America its pre-war glory and purge it of dangerous ghouls and mutants. They might have a long list of people they're trying to kill, but at least they actually have goals outside of hoarding all the technology for themselves.

Of course, in New Vegas, I actually almost always end up joining the Brotherhood of Steel, since being a member of the Brotherhood grants all kinds of advantages (power armor training, although you can get that from the Enclave Remnants too, free energy weapon ammo, access to high quality weapons and power armor, and a suit of free power armor), but they are definitely not a good group.

Goals alone do not make you a good person, methodology is important too. I am a veteran of fallout 1 and 2 so you will not beat me on this, the enclave are horrible horrible people. They are basically the SS in a way trying to restore the Reich(USA). Until you play the original fallout's and read the Fallout Bible your on meaningless on this subject.

I've read just about everything about the Enclave that there is to read on the Fallout wiki. Sure, I don't know literally everything about them, since I didn't play the earlier Fallout games, so you probably do know things I don't, but I'm pretty well versed on them.

They might want to kill a lot of people, but there's almost no faction in Fallout that doesn't do something awful. The NCR slaughters innocent people (the Great Khans at Bitter Springs being an example), Caesar's Legion slaughters innocent people (Nipton being an example), the Brotherhood of Steel robs people and steals their technology, the Great Khans sell drugs, the Powder Gangers do Powder Ganger shit, the Boomers blow up anyone who comes near their territory, the White Glove Society cannibalizes people, and the Enclave wants to genocide the mutants. They aren't any worse than the other factions in Fallout.

Hell, one of the only actually good factions in Fallout is the Followers of the Apocalypse.

The Enclave's crimes are no more significant that those of all the other factions. As for pre-war USA being comparable to Nazi-Germany, I've not read anything that suggests pre-war America was a particularly bad nation.
