Anyway, the point is when my character's father (Malcolm Jenkins) last saw him (my character), he told him to go to New Orleans. Why? To retake and rebuild Louisiana, starting with New Orleans. He's started a team, and the rest will be in my faction bio, when I get time to make one.

That being said, should I make a character bio or a faction bio first?

Oh, never-mind then. However, the Malcolm Jenkins we're talking about can't be your father. He'd be long dead since this is the year 2277, and this is alternate history from modern day in case you weren't aware.

Character app.

Ohhhhh. Ancestor, then. I guess I didn't read all the stuff. TOO MUCH READING FOR 11 AT NIGHT!!!

Maybe my character found a really old letter from him telling him to rebuild the city?

Hugo had a little mission. His friend Abner kept a small fortune while he was still around, a little lifesaving that would be given to his many many offspring after he’s gone. Now that he was, Rosie broke that piggy bank and divided it among her children most of whom were already in Rat City- except for one.

That one, Cecilia, was Rosie & Abner’s favorite daughter. She was an angel on Earth if half the praises her parents told Hugo were true. She now ran a little shop a few hundred miles away from home in Defiance, living a good life that probably involved blessing newborns with her alleged niceness. Hugo’s mission was to get to her and gave her large amount of caps.

Cecilia’s share of the inheritance was a whopping 100 caps, nearly two-third of Abner’s saving. These folks really loved their daughter, Hugo thought. Rosie would have traveled to Lafayette to see Cecilia herself, but the road was dangerous these days with the bubbling tension between the town and Baton Rouge. So instead, the old woman gave Hugo a large bag filled with money and told him to travel halfway across the state. The man was all too happy to help. Rosie also made him shaved before he headed out, saying he’d need to look proper if he wanted to meet her daughter. Hugo was less happy at that and grumbled in response but complied anyway, he always did.

The ex-Legionnaire had had that beard for years now, ever since that day he left Arizona. It was a disguise at first, then a security blanket that he refused to shave away out of habit. That frazzled beard suited his face, but lately even Hugo felt that it had grew musky and slightly itchy. So he shaved it off, about two-third of it anyway. The man still sported an impressive amount of facial hair but he looked somewhat recognizable now, a vague reflection of the man he was 4 years ago.

So just like that Hugo left Rat City in his traveling gear with Chico at his side and signed up with a caravan heading towards Defiance’s direction. The caravan folks were skeptical of him at first but these people weren’t in any position to turn away help.

Hugo kept to himself during the journey and didn’t ask for much- only one meal each day and a blanket. The days went by without many hiccups except for a few raiders which Chico made short work of. They hit Lafayette just as the sun sank into the ground on the 6th day after their departure. The road was now chockfull of caravans just like theirs, arraying themselves half-in and half-out of the city while stomping, lowing cattle, wagons circled up, and armed wastelanders flowing in and out of the gates. Hugo was incredibly tired and he wasn’t sure why. A bad feeling suddenly came over him as he walked into Defiance, as if he was being watched.

He’d meet Cecilia first thing tomorrow. Right now he’d need a drink.

You know, since both Victor and Hugo are going to be in Defiance, now would be a pretty good time for them to hook up.

NS Name: Luminesa

Faction Name: Bethlehem East

Faction Leader: Malachi Jenkins

Faction numbers: There are 60 soldiers (growing faction) and of them, 20 are special-forces fighters. There are about 10 secret agents-5 guys, 5 girls. There are 75 civilians, several of whom are training to be soldiers. There are 30 doctors, and 15 mechanics. There are 3 priests, too.

Faction Bio: After the leader broke away from the Saints, he headed to the small parish of St. Bernard, in order to get the best soldiers for cheap. Finding a decent amount of survivors there, he trained them and created a very intricate system of communications. The faction is very organized and growing in strength, as it gains members. Bethlehem East specializes in covert missions, and is rumored to be storing quite a bit of advanced technology around the area.

Starting Location: Chalmette

Goals: To retake New Orleans, and then to rebuild Louisiana. Also, finding a way to take down the drug, while they are at it.

Character Name: Malachi Jenkins

Appearance: Looks a little like Big Sean, as far as his face and body type goes. Wears a purple trench coat, and a Bethlehem cross around his neck. Carries an odd-looking laser gun in a holster on his left leg. Has a large scar across his back shaped like a cross.

Equipment: Multiple advanced weapons, advanced communications devices, and a refurbished van made for both attack and defense.

Skills: All-around character: Good at handling technology and computers, a decent hacker, a medic, good at fighting even after getting shot. Strategist and a master at secret missions. Master at hand-to-hand fighting, very stealthy.

Personality: Precocious, charismatic, tough, and cool, Malachi is a capable and sharp leader, for a man who is only 22 years old. He's rough around the edges, and he doesn't open up to new people easily. However, he does have a kind heart, deep down, though he has learned to control many of his emotions, so he will avoid unnecessary confrontations. His closest friend is Fr. Pierre St. Michael, his priest and confessor. He hates crime and the drug trade that has destroyed Louisiana, and he has a very clear idea of what justice is. He has a very dark past, and looks to make up for it by saving as many lives as possible.

Motive: All Malachi wants is to save the state his ancestors love, and to kill the drug trade while he's at it.

Backstory:
Malachi was born in Louisiana, in Baton Rouge. However, his parents were killed when he was nine, and so he went on the run. He moved from Baton Rouge to Livingston to Lafayette to Alexandria to Morgan City to Houma, and then finally to New Orleans. In all his travels, he managed to gain some considerable training as a weapons specialist, a doctor, a mechanic, and a hacker. Eventually, however, he saw that the world around him was a gloomy, desperate place, and he himself felt lost in it.
Thus, he joined the Saints, seeing it as a way to make a decent living. Plus, his own ancestor was Malcolm Jenkins, a former Saint himself. However, one fateful night, he met a priest, Fr. Pierre St. Michael (named after his ancestor Pierre Thomas) who had been trying to help a prostitute (named Carrie Belle) who was trying to sneak away from her pimp, to freedom. The priest and the girl were nearly killed, but Malachi came and saved them, forcing him to go on the run with them. Realizing that his life in New Orleans was a dead-end one, and that the drug underworld had ruined his state, he decided to take action. He made a plan to go and start over, to found his own faction and to try and take back the state he loves. It will not be easy, but he is willing to take the risk, in order to change the world around him.

RP Examples: (Not sure what that means, so I'll just post some quotes from him.)

"God knows this world is turning gray, as we speak. So lemme draw a few lines, shall I? I do not quit, I do not run, I am hardheaded, I am a visionary, I am a sinner. But I will never change. And I will never back down."

"(Speech to his faction.) The world made me grow up. When I was little it took away everything I had, and I had to go on the streets, struggling and climbing and grasping for something that meant security. Peace. Maybe even power. Control. And there's some dark things that come with wanting control. Your heart tells you to do crazy things. When I was a Saint, I did some awful things, in the name of myself. Now, I look at the world, and I have finally realized what I am fighting for: I am fighting in the name of gritting my teeth against the world and running into the midst of it. For the sake of others. Malachi Jenkins does not exist, anymore. He is a man in the crowd. And you, never forget, you are the people he is in the crowd for."

"(To Carrie) We both live a pretty broken life. But who we are is what we do with the pieces, right?"

"(To Fr. Pierre) We're all going to die, someday, Father. So pray that when we do, we've died doing what I hope is the right thing. I'm rolling the dice, and I'm giving this everything I've got. I might land on a bad bet, but I'm not afraid of a few dice."

Anything Else:

Most people call him "Mal".
His favorite book is "Crime And Punishment".
He named his getaway van Travesty, or Travie, for short, because when he found it, it was literally "a travesty".
He also has an old MP3, and listens to R&B, classical music, and classic rock.

(Who wants to be my ally?)

The number of soldiers you have seems rather high. Not to mention that it wouldn't be very likely a former drug runner would have any understanding of tactics, warfare, or any elite training. I suppose you could say that because he's a smuggler he'd be good at getting in and out of places without being seen, and thus could pass that onto others. But having trained soldiers is another thing entirely.

@Luminesa I can see the Gatekeepers and your faction becoming good friends.

Also, @Elerian, here's the revised creatures:

#animal
Name of animal: Muckdweller
Submitted by: Neo-Chicago

Where does it live?: Louisiana, South of Baton Rouge. Concentrated heavily around Scout Island, the ruins of Sorrento, Waterford 3 Nuclear Power Plant, and the heavily polluted and irradiated ruins of Garyville.
Is it dangerous?: Yes, although staying away from heavily concentrated areas helps. There’s usually always at least one or two in the vicinity of you south of Baton Rouge, though.
Is it Carnivorous?: Yes.

Describe the animal and any unusual traits or abilities it has: The Muckdweller has evolved to perfectly fit the irradiated swamps of Louisiana. They're thought to have originated from somewhere around Kilona, probably the nuclear power plant that’s in the area. All expeditions to the plant have provided inconclusive results, as most that have dared to explore it have either gone missing or have completely lost their minds, probably due to whatever it was they saw in the plant. Regardless of its origins, the Muckdweller is a hulking mass, cloaked in a tangled mass of vines and other swamp foliage. Although slow, these creatures are incredibly deadly, snapping a person in half with ease. They appear to use chunks of earth as a sort of armor, however it only makes them resistant to regular bullets. Muckdwellers are incredibly durable, usually only being able to be killed by some sort of explosion. Armor-piercing bullets are capable of piercing the thick shell-like armor of hardened mud and less-than-hardened mud in a pinch, however. Felling them with a laser rifle is possible, although it's extremely costly and is usually not worth the ammo it takes.
Their skin is somewhat resistant to normal bullets as well. The strategy of a Muckdweller is often to conceal itself, as the texture of its legs combined with the vines and plants covering in it make it possible for it to disguise as a tree. It is incredibly adept at silence on swamped terrain, but will not be likely to follow onto a road unless it has already been sighted. Muckdwellers are completely immune to radiation and other forms of pollution, as they were born from a swamp already heavily polluted. Not much else is known about the beast, except for the fact that it prefers to hunt during the night, but will attack any creatures it feels are intruding on its land, to protect its young.

#animal
Name of animal: Gutter
Submitted by: Neo-Chicago

Where does it live?: Audubon Swampland, Mississippi River around the Chapel Bend
Is it dangerous?: Extremely so.
Is it Carnivorous?: Yes.

Describe the animal and any unusual traits or abilities it has: The Gutter, as it's now called after the butchering of its original name, the Gator, is a river creature known for its speed and jaw strength. Those bitten by the Gutter are injected with an incredibly lethal poison that is capable of killing within the hour. There is no known cure, and it is known to follow poisoned victims and feast on their remains, eating humans whole. There are several spike like bones jutting from the Gutter's back, and while their purpose is unknown, they are incredibly sharp and are known to cut to the bone if contacted. Tribals often use these bones for swords and other melee weapons. The creature has a lower jaw that extends farther, as its mouth is incapable of housing its four center teeth, the middle two which extend over half a foot. These teeth are primarily used as cutting instruments, and natives will often remove them to use for knives and blades. The gutter is also a land animal, and has feet with a rough circumference of one foot, somewhat ironically. It is built like a tank, and an odd feature of it is the fact that it can retract or protract its legs, two a maximum length of two feet. It is also capable of turning its head completely, however not around; rather, sideways, so it is essentially capable of inverting its head and vision. These are often mistaken for mangled corpses, and those who mistake it for that die fairly quickly.
If I'm not online, I'm probably playing something on my Xbox One, so bear with me.
Pro: Second Amendment, Patriotism, Space Exploration, Freedom, Life, America, Justice, Science, Conservatism, Economic Freedom, Industry, Capitalism, Libertarianism, Establishmentarianism, Manifest Destiny, 1950s America.
Anti: Leftism, Socialism, Religious Fundamentalism, Extreme Feminism, Censorship, Political Correctness, Fascism, Excessive Gun Control, Subsidies, Religious Extremism, Affirmative Action, Authoritarianism, Political Correctness.
I am a 14-year-old male with an ENTP-A personality, and I am a self-described Neo-Conservative. Live in Indiana, I'm an atheist, and I believe in the existence of extraterrestrials.

Mayor Gregor Bolden. Though he already had a talk to the lawmen of the town, so you could say you were there. (If you look up Mayor Gregor in the IC then it should come up with the post)

Ok thanks, I don't really want to double post so I'll wait a bit.

Finally posted. It was a lot longer than I expected.

I imagine Alexia being like Mikaela Fisher as the very scary assassin in Tell No One. Check out the vids in those links for reference.

Now Victor and Gunny should walk out in the streets and I'll have them meet Hugo

Yeah, they're good now.
