I'm wondering if there would be any interest in a modified reboot of a previous RP of mine: http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=284312&p=18929224&hilit=Lord+of+the+Rings#p18929224

I guess some changes should be made to it and i could use some help with that though.

Anyway, Naught but Ashes is kinda like that but sure, we could do a reboot of that. Looking at it, we should probably have multiple adventures going on at the same time to allow for more players.

I see yes, i'll try to see what i can come up with in the next couple of days.

The Starlight wrote:Oh, and were you not able to restore your old account? Because you can do that, you know.

I know, i just figured it was time for a new account ;)

Anyhow, you all have any ideas for what those adventures could be?
Last time i had the following (as far as i can remember):
Harondor (small scale war between Gondor and Harad/Umbar/Mordor)
Khazad-Dûm (small scale war between Dwarves and Orcs and Balrog)
Gundabad (small scale war between Dwarves and Orcs)
Entwives (A small story which would allow the ents to be on the good side once the real war started)
Angmar (A small scale war between Orcs/Mordor and Elves/Men)

Anyhow, we could also add some small stories that could lead to having more troops once the real war of the ring would start. Think of a story that would involve the Dwarves of the West, the Dwarves of the East and Rhûn. By those three it would mainly be a story that would lead to the Dwarves of the East (clans could make different decisions ofcourse) joining good or evil, or staying neutral ofcourse. Simular stories could be made within Harad, Gondor, the lands of Arnor ect.

Richest as in most fertile. If they get burned and covered in blood, you're not going to be growing anything there for a while. Also we did totally outlast them behind the Rammas so I consider this dispute over.

So, I was scrolling through the thread and saw a debate idea. Glorfindel? Are the Lords of Gondolin and Rivendell once in the same?

Imo yes, they are. They both possess the same features and they are both alluded to as being incredibly powerful, with a full paragraph of text to describe Glorfindels power in the "Fellowship of the Ring." It is also their feats that would be looked at. Glorfindel 2.0 was able to ride openly against the Nazgul, and was on the White Council. He had an immense presence in both the seen and unseen worlds, ans it was said that he was one of the greatest elf lords of the Third Age. He was "One of the mighty of the first born, and an elf Lord of a house of Princes." And that's not even mentioning the various quotes, hints and other facts in Tolkien's other writings, including this:

". . . At any rate what at first sight may seem the simplest solution must be abandoned: sc. that we have merely a reduplication of names, and that Glorfindel of Gondolin and Glorfindel of Rivendell were different persons. This repetition of so striking a name, though possible, would not be credible… Also it may be found that acceptance of the identity of Glorfindel of old and of the Third Age will actually explain what is said of him and improve the story. . ."
