To be fair, Khan started that way and Esty is Belgian - it's only a matter of time before the concentrated waffle overloads his heart.

An old and decrepit Khan retains his god status, however.

The idea is that Lifetime Achievement is an award that becomes more effective in, say, five years from now, when there's maybe a desire to recognize someone who contributed a lot to the way the forum is at that time but isn't necessarily involved at a large level anymore, whereas Most Involved would be given to someone who did a lot for the forum in that specific year. Also, assuming that I'm running them again -- which is an assumption I'm working under as a general rule -- once someone has won a Lifetime Achievement Award, they would be disqualified from winning it again.

It makes more sense, then, to introduce them five years from now.

Well, I'd say they become effective in theory by 2 years, and perhaps in practise in 3. After all, the award does also include what people have done in the lead-up to the creation of the P2TM, right?

We're too late to abolish it this time around, and next year, we'll have nearly 3 years to draw on. Surely that's enough?

Yes, but it's not happening at midnight. It'll likely be firmly tomorrow in most places when I do post.

Makesh shenshe.

There shall be three posts staggered throughout the day of the 6th. None of them shall arrive until after I have awoken in the morning.

There's no need for cheek. Astro's doing a public service for us here, so the least you could do is be respectful.

Being respectful is a bit too much to ask from Rob here in my opinion, but hey, that's just me.

I doubt it is him.
I mean, the real Rob has been staying sober since 1986. Our Rob - not really.

I know, just commenting on the strange persona. :P
On that note, I must confess, I confused Halford for Ford before I searched it up.

Dearest friends, welcome and welcome back. These are the second annual “Best of P2TM Awards”, and I am your host, Astrolinium. Over the past weeks, you have nominated and voted the best of the best that this forum had to offer in the year 2014 – posts, characters, roleplays, and roleplayers, recognizing those people and their efforts that truly stand above the crowd and show the world – or at least the rest of NationStates – what we here in Portal to the Multiverse can accomplish if we set our minds to it. As we enter into the strange new year of Two-Thousand Fifteen, let us take this moment to present the fruits of this nominating and voting. I doubt that. IJ was/is just great. It helped so many people get better at everything.
Oh, and it has an abridged series. That's a thing.
