A Machiavellian Elcor politician could be pretty awesome at intergalactic diplomacy. They're basically living, walking lie detectors meanwhile they could lie straight to your face without batting and eyelash and no one would be the wiser. I mean they're not in anyway compelled to add emotive statement in their speech, they only add it at the convenience of other races...

Regardless, this one has survived and come back a stronger being.. sorta. More rushed for time is like it. Still need to wrap the GF's Christmas gifts and the like..

Point is: I'm back after a pretty horrific day at work.

They can be built on stations. Forgot to add that into the OP I think.. After all, what is the point of a hidden research station if it can't do research.

Hmm.

STG are definitely up there. Cerberus/Ouroboros/HYDRA deserves a mention simply for being the Determinator faction that just keeps on trying despite it's losses. NERV had sheer ruthlessness, but kinda botched it's extermination of Ouroboros which puts them down considering that they had far more resources than any other competing group. ACROSS did almost nothing beyond act as an anti-NERV.

I had an exceedingly twisted plan which ended in godhood.

ACROSS was more than just that. If that Factions had continued, it would have taken a much larger role.

Yeah. That version may have suffered from having Arch as OP, but the plots we came up with... Hell, I could write an entire AU Mass Effect fanfic from them. Slightly annoyed I never got to have that Human Civil War with HYDRA making a triumphant return, but eh.
