exactly as I said before, lack of a war prevents a reason for a need of atomic weapons. Yea,but I dont get how the army isn't weak when Haiti is pretty small or how you managed to get the Dominican Republic.

You said I alt historied my Mexico so the army didn't suck but the thing is Mexico has resources,people,and always had a respectable army until the mid-20th century.

In this alt history we did not pay this, plus unlike in RL we are far more stable politically and economically allowing us to be more stronger as of now. Helps that we signed a trade agreement with Britain boosting are economy even more. Combine that with are proto-fascist government equaling large scale military build up and you have the current situation.

Mexico and Haiti military kinda sucked in RL for the most part because of there sever political instability, its just Mexico via the stability granted by the dictatorship of Diaz was able to finally rebuild its military forces and became rather respectable as a result. such a thing did not occur for Haiti in RL because of its continued political and economic instability which continues unto today.

Before Haiti's military was actually pretty effective and large filled with well trained battle hardened veteran soldiers from the revolution, it was a rather effective force considering the fact it was able to defeat 3 separate imperial powers all on its own(France, Spain, Britain), after the french did what they did it was tantamount to smacking a baby's head into a wall. It utterly destroyed the nations future preventing it from ever recovering and being a viable nation, if that had not happened Haiti would be in a completely different situation today, It probably would be like the Dominican Republic IE not great but a whole lot better.

Its a matter of why not.
The US has claims to islands in the Caribbean than are barely islands since they are barely over the sea level and are the size of a mattress.Why do they want it?I dont know but they would want Haiti for extra space and a place to train the military.

Good point, but remember the reason for manifest destiny invasions were typically came about via American immigrants entering an area and wanting to have uncle sam come in and "Free them". Unlikely a lot of Americans would of cared to move here. The lands they moved to(in Mexico) were severely depopulated and barely governed, filled with land. Haiti(both in RL and in IC) is not.

I wanted to be in the Americas but did not want to directly compete with anyone, wanted to be kinda like the third world was during the cold war. That And as stated before it was pretty much random. I was sorta considering having a successful United states of central America, but a strong Mexico kinda put a damper on that.
