Other information: The economy is much better than it was our world. The Great Depression did not take as large of a toll on the nation due to the ability for the Young Plan to work in France compared to the industrious Germany. Because of this, the US is on steadier ground. The 1937 recession never hit (due to a bigger budget and no cuts in '36) and the US looks like it will be coming out of the Great Depression soon as its unemployment is now only 9.5%.

History:
- 1774 - Intolerable acts are made. First Continental Congress is held.
- 1775 - Second CC is held. Revolutionary war starts as in IRL.
- 1776 - Nassau is captured and held by American forces. Declaration of Independence is made for the "United States of Columbia."
- 1783 - Revolutionary War is finally over with Treaty of Paris.
- 1788 - USC fails to adopt a new constitution instead of the Articles of Confederation. Everything North of Virginia stays as the USC and the southern slave states create the "Dixie Confederation." The USC does not formally recognize it and claims it as its own. People in both parts consider themselves "Columbian" after that war effort and there is general anger with both governments for failing to keep the nation together.
- 1789 - Washington takes the helm of the USC.
- 1790 - Dixie Confed. establishes good relations with the UK and are roped into sphere of influence because of cotton.
- 1791 - Slavery is fully banned in the USC.
- 1812 - USC goes to war with UK over the same things as IRL. Having built up a better military due to the DC, they were prepared and didn't loose as bad. Were able to annex the Dixie Confederation in it as well. Reconstruction in the Dixie states stop segregation efforts.
- 1830's - Manifest Destiny Idea comes around.
- 1845 - Texas is annexed.
- 1848 - Mexican-American War. Mexico is left in shambles
- 1850's - Whites move into territories gained in the war. Starts the assimilation process. Hispanics start to move out and into the south and other regions as well. First southern states (as they will be called) are formed with California, Texas, Colorado getting statehood. There is a much more liberal atmosphere in Washington.
- 1860's-80's - Industrial revolution. Larger than in IRL, a larger GDP allows for larger and more advanced industrialization. More western states start to get statehood. Dynamics in the nation are shifting Occasional small revolts in the southern territories, but these are usually put down. Heavy migration of europeans to The West to help stifle hispanic outrage.
- 1886 - Columbia makes an agreement with Spain as they approach bankruptcy to sell Puerto Rico and the Pacific territories to Columbia.
- 1900-1921 - USC moves into many of its satellite states for military occupation for various reasons. In 1915, women gain suffrage.
1913-1919 - USC stays neutral in the Great War.
1919 - Washington Agreement is made with Germany. German territories are purchased for reduction of German Debt. Without going to war, USC military continues to slowly increase in size. Plans have been outlined to bring its size up regardless of the end of the Great War.
1920 - Young Plan is made with Germany, albeit with less money involved. US starts to make the "cash-money" and begins the whole jazz age. Harding is elected president. USA enters trade agreements with a wide variety of states to expand markets. USC supports Obregon in the Mexican Revolution. Through a tentative alliance, stability is brought to Mexico with USC occupation. Following governments are effectively tied to Washington. USC forces try to get involved in the Russian Civil War but fail to install the Whites.
1921 - The United Fruit Company expands operations to a variety of countries including Mexico, Panama, Ecuador, and, in a first time, Liberia. All these nations see rapid growth but many questions regarding the ethics of the policies (and sometimes legality) of the UFCO in these nations arise.
1923 - Harding dies and Coolidge takes power like IRL. Embodies the spirit of the American middle class. Also seeks to expand USC control of the New World. A plan is set forth for the Philippines to set them on an expedited path to statehood.
1924 - USC troops leave the Dominican Republic having installed a government that is tied to Washington. The replacement is essentially a vassal state.
1925 - The UFCO gains lots of influence in the American gov't.
1926 - Pan-Columbian Conference is held in Havana, Cuba. Coolidge attends the conferences and has a rather large say in events. The next PCC will be in Washington.
1928 - PAC meets in Washington D.C. There, multiple nations (Cuba, Mexico, Ecuador, Peru, Panama, Dominica) agree to the Washington Pact. This is an economic agreement to help keep Europe out of "exploiting" these nations. Focus is to provide the nations with a common system of cooperation and interlinking trade to each other. Effectively solidifies USC control of these nations through which is has gained influence over the past century. Peru and Ecuador join out of fear of Venezuela and its growing socialism.
1929 - Bam! Wall Street Crash! The whole shabbam. Hits hard, though slightly better than IRL. Triggers the great depression. Nothing new here.
1932 - FDR in the White House. Brings about a similar New Deal and stuff. Nothing really different. Due to a more liberal attitude, more of FDR's policies are excepted and help build the economy.
1936 - Congress doesn't cut the size of the programs from the Second New Deal. These include the PWA.
1937 - Economic growth continues as usual.
1938 - Preparations are made for the 10th anniversary of the Washington Pact. It'll be held in DC for the first time since it's inception. The annual meetings have rotated between countries .
1940-1943- The Columbian Navy and Army is expanded due to the World War, the USC paying particular attention to the Navy, and the army being outfitted with the M1 Garand. Another New Deal is passed, the USC economy continuing to improve, the USC GDP increasing rapidly.
