Who the heck inherited the Scandinavian throne? I see a lot of posts about European delegations in Scandinavia, but I don't see anything about a successor -- an apparent betrothal with a German prince (I think?) and some other things, but....?

I talked with Svelt a lot about this- Princess Christine is going to inherit (they usually call her Christie, I believe). Her mom (also, confusingly, named Kristine/Christine) and everyone (including, at least as far as was written, her) are looking to marry her to the German prince. Svelt and I had talked about her and prince Temur (yes, there's a Mongol prince in Scandinavia if you forgot/didn't know) falling in love (though likely not marrying), but he went awol and that never really materialized.

I do have interest. But whether or not I can go secondary power depends on whether or not I have foreign power supporting me, or a friendly neighbor.

I'm already in the process of buying weapons and ships from Francia, and trying to grow my arms industry to create a stable and strong military. It's in the process, really.

Yeah, DK is important enough that even switching to a GP isn't a huge plus. If you want to, though (as in you find some other GP more interesting) I'd encourage you to go for it.

I'll TG some potential joinants (i.e. Mish, G-Tech) and see if they might be interested in taking some GP up.

On T-L, Piedmont is going to march in and demand the instalment of a republican, liberal, democratic government (which would be achieved by removing the royals and replacing their influence with a new confederal governemnt based off the Swiss government in Bern). Considering the happenings during the First and Second Italian Wars of Independence IRL, and the fact that neither has happened ICly, it's almost certainly going to succeed with popular support.
