He looks done, but has yet to remove the WIP (work in progress) sign. While it remains, we'll simply have to wait.

He tends to act quite lazy at times and lacks any solid ambition in life, much to the disdain of his family, as his older brother has launched a successful career in engineering.

Full Name: Christian Ratel
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Age: (18 minimum) 21
Major: History
Background: Growing up in a middle-class home in upstate New York, Christian received a secular education, albeit with some religious education mixed in. With both parents working, he was often alone with his sisters. One day they showed him some objects they used to perform occult rituals, and after an impressing session an interested in mysteries, mythologies and all things supernatural had sparked inside him.
In school, he wasn't the most popular kid by any means, but his particular interest kept growing thanks to some history classes on the religions of ancient civilizations, and lead him to making a few friends who shared his hobbies. Sometimes he was ridiculed for them, and even though they nagged at his self-confidence, he tried to not care about them all that much. Soon he delved deeper and deeper into the unknown, engaging in stranger and stranger rituals with his peers, trying to talk to animals, invisible spirits, and ultimately even the dead himself. For this, the group also went on expeditions into the nearby forests. He got into trouble for being out too late more and more often, and his progressive-religious parents started to voice their concerns on what seemed to be an unhealthy obsession with ungodly things, but he wouldn't hear anything about it.
That is, until during a particularly unorthodox ritual involving a dead rabbit, powdered spider net and ominous Latin words lightning struck the table they were performing it on, temporarily blinding and deafening the group of friends. While his pals wanted to continue their occult practices, Christian, visibly shaken, took it as a sign from God personally that he should stop messing with sanctity of life and turn away from occultism altogether. So he became religious, and more devout even than his parents, learning about Christianity what he could and faithfully listening to the sermon every Sunday in the church and helping out in charity. When it was time to choose a college, he would have wanted to choose a Catholic university, but his application was nowhere accepted but a Simsonville. With an uneasy feeling in the stomach, he set about to travel to the far away small town notorious for tragedies and mysterious disappearances.
Personality: Extrovert, who likes to spend time with other people and relies on their support, but also supports them where he can. Trying to be non-judgmental about others, he is ironically very judgmental about himself and plagued by self-doubts, including religious ones. The latter he blames on his occult "phase", as he likes to call it.

It's different then anything I've expected. It works though, and the character is here by accepted. You may begin posting.
