He has minimal experience with the ladies. Like I mentioned earlier, he's spent the years Loras spent gallivanting studying 'magic' and science in a cloistered mountain of all men.

And I was hopping the two ignored ladies could run into each other. Lassa has some statements she'd like said, but woulden't be able to do so in a crowd or group conversation. With one person, she might be able to hold herself. However, I didn't want to force the meet up in the same isolated place without consulting you.

Well, I suppose I could always ask Aemon for the position when he invades. After all, I do have a couple drops of storm king blood in me. :p

OR... you could try to pull a 2nd Baratheon miracle out of our collective pants and put Steffon on the throne in the event of Aerion's untimely demise.

Nice try, but we're not stupid. My people still remember what happened last time we resisted the Targaryens. Besides, Maxwell was a close friend of both Eddard Stark and Rhaegar Targeryen. He is loyal to the children of Jon Snow through and through, but house Baratheon is a close second. Perhaps if you would consider bending the knee to Aemon when he arrives, Maxwell could arrange to sit you on the iron throne until he arrives.

Here's the issue though: no offence to you Quendi, but you've done nothing to earn any sort of loyalty from Storm's End. Aerion and the Tyrells have at least bothered to keep the realm running smoothly and keep the peace. Aemon ran (admittedly through no fault of his own, but what is said about it is... varied) and, rather than even trying to do anything, spent over a decade investing himself into Ghiscar. We'll bend the knee if you win, sure, but we have little reason to believe raising our swords for you is a good idea if you just show up out of the blue and demand them, when Tyrell-Lannister power is so obvious and yours is much more vague (from a Westrosi perspective).

This is, of course, subject to change based on what happened between them and now.

To Krugmar and Dilliath: War won't be long now, sorry for keeping both of you waiting. I have tg'ed with Arana and we are ready to wrap up the Kosrak showdown at which point I will have Aemon fly to Meereen and prepare for a two front war fighting Mantarys and coping Qarth.

I don't think Aemon can be blamed for failing to retain the throne when his bannermen, including Storm's End, didn't rally to his side. With King's Landing fallen Aemon couldn't very well have fought without the support of at least some of the great houses. Their unwillingness to assist him (which would be treason on their part) forced his exile, not any lack of willingness to fight. That he didn't return sooner then will be the case he can of course be blamed.

But I am not sure why we are discussing this. I don't expect Aemon will receive any support outside the North, the Vale and the Riverlands and do not anticipate any aid to come from Storm's End. If he is lucky he can get Dorne as well. Anything else he regards as more likely to be enemies then allies.

Steffon was a 12 year old boy with a huge aversion to violence and most his bannermen ended up supporting the Tyrells. That, and Donnel wasen't particularly fond of bastard who stole his wife's throne. Having Storm's End and its more wavering vassels as neutrals was probably the realistically best-case scenario Aemon could have had. He'd be excused for running, since he was a young man without any support from major houses, but the fact that he retreated to Ghis and stayed there rather than, say, going to Winterfell and actually making a call for loyalists would be the issue.

That's not to say we hate you; against Steffon is still paranoid about war and hates the thought of having to lead the Stormlands into battle. All things being equal, he'd probably just let the dragons fight it out amongst themselves. However, he Tyrells have a larger number of pointy sticks in the area, and a fair number of his vassals align with them. Now, its possible this could change, but I'd imagine Aemon would prefer to launcha diplomatic offensive before the military one, to try to get as much support as he feasibly can. It's not like sending some fancy envoys and peddling off his sure enemy's titles and lands costs him that much (He'd need to find somebody to take up the banner of Lord Paramount of the Reach and Wardens of the South, at least.), and every lord declaring when he lands is that much larger of a chance of victory. Every little bit counts when you're starting the largest war in recorded history and the stakes are its two largest nations since Valyria's fall.

All of this is assuming Aerion's death though; so long as he is alive, we have an oath to him as our liege lord, and if Aemon is claiming the throne we can't abandon him.

Aemon can count on the North, the Vale, and at least some of the Riverlands. The Tyrells have the Reach, Crownlands, Westerlands, and the rest of the Riverlands in their pocket. Dorne, the Iron Isles, and the Stormlands are yet undecided. Do with that what you will.

(Though, Imperial Republica, in the case Storm's End did decide to declare Maxwell would probably be made the Stormland's marshal for the campaign. Steffon has no military training, and can't be expected to direct the campaign.)

Yeah its a bit strange that Aemon fled to Ghiscar. Presumably he had most of the Royal Navy and the Crownland Houses with him. He could have easily held out in the North or the Vale where the Tyrell's would have found it very difficult to get to him even when we don't throw Drogon and Rhaegal into the mix. If I had total freedom of making Aemon's backstory I would have had him set himself up as king on Dragonstone, using what forces available to him to wage war. He did however call his banners sending ravens to all his vassals.

Aemon and diplomacy? Well you have seen him in action as a diplomat above Kosrak, how well do you think he is doing? :p But of course when he want to Aemon can be quite diplomatic. He is however temperamental, imperious and easily angered as well as far too proud to humble himself before people who has ignored him for a decade. Besides if he sends diplomats to Westeros they are likely to be executed, possibly revealing things that Aemon want to keep secret beforehand if they show up at the wrong courts so Aemon wouldn't be able to send them to anyone he isn't very sure will follow him.

My characters can seriously do little until the Melee begins. Also, would it be okay if I advertised one of my own roleplays on here? It's lacking in members and I'd be willing to do the same.

Sorry, sorry, was doing a joint post with Novae and it took longer than I had expected. I promise that the melee will start this weekend, barring my death or the apocalypse.

As part of my attempts at maintenance, could everyone please take a look at the accepted character and app list, then find any that aren't on it? If not, I can try myself, but I can better run the thread the sooner and faster this is out of the way.

Deren was fostered at Yronwood castle, where he was eventually knighted by Lord Yronwood. Despite his eagerness his mother refused to become embroiled in the Tyrell's rebellion, preferring to keep Dorne neutral.

Following his time in Yronwood, he traveled about the Free Cities of Essos. He trained for a time with the Braavosi water dancers, was lost for a year in the whorehouse's of Lys, and had an exquisite suit of armor forged in Tyrosh. After three years he returned to Sunspear, to much fanfare. Deren split his time between Sunspear and the Water Gardens, of which he was made castellan.

After five years of being home in Dorne, his mother died of mysterious causes and Deren assumed his place as the Prince of Dorne. For the past five years Deren has maintained Dorne's formal, yet distant relations with the Iron Throne, especially in light of the Tyrell stranglehold over the kingdom.

His aunt, Ashara Dayne, threw herself from the Palestone Tower following the war. Her reasons are disputed and range from grief over the loss of her brother, the stillbirth of her child, or shame of being dishonored by an unknown man. Edric's mother died years later, while giving birth to Edric in 287. His father, the Lord of Starfall, would follow three years later from injuries sustained in a hunting accident. This left only Edric and Allyria as the main branch of House Dayne.

For the next four years Edric was raised in Starfall by loyal house stewards and his aunt. By the time he was seven years old Edric had developed into a kind-hearted boy, well liked by those who knew him. This was also the year Edric's aunt became betrothed to Lord Beric Dondarrion of House Blackhaven. Edric traveled with her to House Blackhaven's seat in the Dornish Marches, where became a page in service to Lord Beric. For three years Edric served as a capable page, running simple errands for Lord Beric. At the age of ten Edric was raised to the rank of squire and began to further his training in combat and the laws of chivalry.

One year later Lord Beric competed at the Hand's tourney, held in honor of Eddard Stark's appointment. Lord Beric was eventually eliminated from the joust by Thoros of Myr. Instead of returning to Blackhaven Beric and Endric reained in King's Landing. He was soon commanded by Lord Stark to lead a force to the Riverlands and bring the King's justice to Gregor Clegane, who had been raiding villages across the countryside. Lord Beric obliged and gathered a host of one hundred and twenty men and rode to the Riverlands. Edric accompanied his master, as is the duty of a squire. Among the force are Thoros of Myr, Ser Gladden Wylde, Lord Lothar Mallery, Ser Marq Piper, Lord Raymun Darry, and Ser Karyl Vance.

After following the Mountain's trail to the Mummer's Ford crossing of the Red Fork, the force was ambushed by men of House Lannister. While, retreating back across the river Lord Beric and his men are taken fro behind by the Mountain and his raiding force. The battle is a disaster, of Beric's one hundred and twenty men barely forty survive. Among the dead are Ser Raymun Darry, Ser Gladden Wylde, Lord Lothar Mallery, and Lord Beric Dondarrion. Edric pulled the fallen body of Lord Beric from the river and stood over him as the battle ensued around them, Edric killed his first man while guarding the body.

At some point during the chaos Thoros of Myr, uttered prayers to the Red God over the body of Lord Beric. To the surprise of all present, Lord Beric is brought back to life. The remnants of the shattered force go on to form the brotherhood without banners, with Edric Dayne continuing to squire for the resurrected Lord Beric. During this time Edric would see his master fall six more times only to be returned to life by Thoros each time, save the last. Lord Beric died for a final time after giving his life to Catelyn Tully following the slaughter at the Twins.

After Lady "Stoneheart's" resurrection and assumption of command over the brotherhood Edric left the group, owing no loyalty to Catelyn or rest of the brotherhood, and becoming increasingly alarmed at the vengeful nature of the new commander. For the next two years Edric made his way south, avoiding bandits and patrols. The few times Edric couldn't avoid battle he proved himself a capable warrior cutting down full grown men and ably escaping pursuers.

By 301AC Edric had returned to Starfall having collected his aunt from Blackhaven and telling her of the death of her betrothed. He tactfully left out the rebirths and multiple deaths. At Starfall Edric assumed control of Starfall and its lands. One of his first actions as the actualized Lord of Starfall wass to order his men to assist in the capture of Gerold "the Darkstar" Dayne, a distant cousin and head of House Dayne's cadet branch at High Hermitage. After nearly four months of hunting Darkstar he was captured by knights of House Dayne and delivered to their overlords the Martells, who quickly beheaded him for his attempted murder of Myrcella.

The knight who captured Gerold Dayne, Ser Sybas Santagar, was greatly rewarded for his deeds by Edric. He was made master-at-arms of Starfall and would eventually wed Lord Edric's aunt, Allyria. For the next twenty nine years Edric has ruled in Starfall, proving himself and fair and honest ruler and loyal bannerman to house Martell. He has in that time taken a wife, Elizba Qorgyle, and raised three children: Tomos, Ashara, and Rache.

Nickname, if any: N/A
Title, if any: The Sword of the Morning
Age: Twenty-three
Gender: Male
House Allegiance: House Dayne
Appearance: Tomos Dayne is a well-built man, standing a head taller than most men. His hair is fair of color and his eyes are pale blue.
Biography: Tomos Dayne is the eldest child and only son of Lord Edric Dayne and Lady Elizba Dayne. He was raised in the traditional fashion of nobility. He was taught to read and write, to ride a horse, and to wield a sword. By the time he was seven it was clear that Tomos had a gift for swordplay, being able to best all of the boys he would practice against. The next year, Edric arranged for his son to be fostered by the Yronwoods.

For the following six years Tomos served as a page and squire before being knighted for valor at the age of sixteen. After this honor Ser Tomos traveled around the southern half of the realm, never venturing much further than the Stony Sept. His time was spent competing in tourneys and taking work as a hedge knight. However, wherever Tomos wentgo a raven would soon follow. Each letter was the same, Lord Edric would ask Tomos to return to Starfall and assume his place as heir apparent of House Dayne. Tomos would send a reply stating he still needed to see more of the land beyond Dorne.

During the fourth year of his absence, a small tournament was held in honor of Lord Edric fortieth nameday. The entrants consisted mostly of knights sworn to House Dayne and surrounding houses and hedge knights. One such hedge knight quickly garnered much attention and multiple favors from the ladies in attendance. This unknown knight secured victory in the grand melee and went on to win at the lists. When asked to declare a queen of love and beauty, the knight chose a young woman of house Fowler and removed his helm to crown her. To the surprise of the crowd, the mystery knight was revealed as Tomos Dayne.

The next day Tomos was named the Sword of the Morning, having bested all the knights of House Dayne at the previous day's tournament. Accordingly, Tomos was gifted the ancient greatsword Dawn, which had rested within the vaults of Starfall since being returned by Lord Eddard Stark. Since then Tomos has ably served as a knight in his father's service, keeping peace and bringing justice when that fails. Any Additional Information:

Biography: Born in 289 AC to Lord Baelor Hightower, Jovaryn was born for leadership and battle. His early childhood was spent being a ward to Lord Mace Tyrell, where he witnessed "Reach Chivalry" at its finest. Jovaryn was quite fond of his mentor Mace, and has only pleasant memories of Highgarden. At the age of 14 he was squired to Ser Garlan Tyrell, where he learned the art of the sword, eventually becoming a master. By the age of 18, he was anointed as a knight, and took his place beside his father, whom groomed him for leadership. Jovaryn became a regular in tourneys, usually taking place in both the jousts and melees. Jovaryn kept away from the dangerous realm of politics, and speaks plainly and honestly with everyone. Jovaryn and House Hightower flourished in these times of peace, and their influence spread along with the Tyrells. He married a beautiful woman named Talana, a daughter of Lord Redwyne.

In 318 AC,Lord Baelor Hightower was summoned by Mace Tyrell to Highgarden, leaving Jovaryn in charge of Oldtown. Unbeknownst to them, Mace would be arrested and executed by Jon and Daenerys Targaryen. When word reached Jovaryn, he mustered his forces, and was the first bannerman of the Tyrells to muster. Jovaryn led his forces under Lord Willas Tyrell, and took part in the assault on King's Landing. After, he assumed the lordship of Oldtown and became a just ruler. He has always been loyal to the Tyrell family, and his advice is well regarded and received amongst them. Lord Willas Tyrell once called him,"the Stalwart Guardian of the Reach". He has taken that as his alias, and some refer to him as simply "Stalwart".

Biography: Born in 309 AC to Lord Jovaryn Hightower and Lady Talana Redwyne, he is the current heir to Jovaryn. From an early age, he showed great interest in swordplay and knights. Lord Jovaryn took notice of this, and had him taught beginning courses. He was warded to his grandfather, Lord Redwyne at the age of 8, and remained there until 11. By age 11, he was squired to Lord Redwyne's son. He excelled as not only a squire, but as a swordsman himself. At the age of 18, he was knighted. He entered several tourneys over the course of the following year, and won his own nameday tourney at Oldtown. He became known as the "Stormblade", after winning a melee held at Arbor. He showed impressive swordsmanship and horsemanship. However, Ryndar became "bored" of tourneys, and wanted the taste of real battle.

In 328 AC, a group of bandits began ransacking some farmsteads on Hightower land. Ser Ryndar led a handful of knights and soldiers, and tracked the cutthroats down. During the skirmish with them, Ryndar stood like an "Iron-Wall", and became known as "The Iron-Wall of the Hightower". The first taste of battle humbled the arrogant and proud knight. Ryndar is seen as loyal and strong, like his father. He has no great care for politics. He takes great strides to protect his family, especially his younger brother Olyvar. He mastered horsemanship by the age of 14, and was seen as second to his brother Ryndar with the sword. He was warded to Lord Willas Tyrell up until the age of 15, when he was squired to his son, Loras Tyrell. Olyvar became close to his mentor, Loras, and the two travelled across the Reach. Olyvar was knighted at 17, and entered a number of tourneys for honor and glory. He bested his brother Ryndar in a joust i
at Oldtown, and was dubbed,"The Silver Knight", for his tendency to wear silver armor. He is a handsome youth, and it is said that all maidens weep and lust for him above all others. Ser Ryndar called him,"the Rose of the Hightower", after a group of maidens nearly rioted as the two passed by.

Olyvar seeks nothing more than glory as a knight. He views himself as superior to other knights, and calls himself the "pinnacle of chivalry". He is loyal to his family, but even more so to Lord Loras Tyrell, and acts as his chief bodyguard. He is very well-mannered, even more so than his older brother. Satin (Of the Night's Watch)

NS Nation Name: Novae Vitae

Character Name: Satin

Nickname, if any: the Archer (to his face); the Swordsman (behind his back)

Title, if any: First Ranger

Age: 44

Gender: Male

House Allegiance: None; sworn to the Night's Watch

Appearance: But older

Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs)

Satin fought beside Jon Snow turning the wildling invasion under Mance Rayder in defense of the Wall, but was quick to support Jon when he welcomed the wildlings to the North. He would support Jon in most of what he did, even when he abandoned the Black and became king. Silently, however, Satin mourned the loss of the person he admired deeply.

Satin was ruthless during Alliser's purging of the wildings. He became a savage archer and hunter, venting his frustrations at the loss of Jon by butchering those he saw as opposed to what he and Jon had fought for together. He began a master of the bow-and-arrow very quickly, and his since perfected his fluency with the weapon. During his time purging, he kept a count of the people he killed. His final total was two-and-fifty.

After he finished his purging of the wildlings, Alliser took a special interest in Satin. By the time Alliser's time as Lord Commander ended, Satin had been raised to a very high place below Triston Gaunt, the at-the-time First Ranger. When Triston was elevated to Lord Commander, pressure from the rangers forced him to name Satin as First Ranger.

When Satin learned of Jon's fall at the hands of the Tyrells, he was shocked. He found it hard to believe that his own countrymen had killed the man he had felt so deeply for. He drowned himself in the idea that it couldn't have been them for a time; however, as the years--for indeed he denied it for years--passed, Satin grew to accept what was true. He forced on ignoring this, though, instead concentrating on his duties as First Ranger.

Satin is impeccably loyal to the Lord Commander, not daring to think freely for fear of dwelling too much on the past. In addition, he is notorious beyond the Wall for his murderous purge of the wildlings.

Any Additional Information: As hinted at in the books, Satin is: a) younger than he states, and b) gay.

Nickname, if any: "Old Gloom and Doom"
Title, if any: Lord Commander of the Nights Watch, Commander of Castle Black
Age: 53
Gender: Male
Faction Allegiance: Nights Watch
Appearance: Triston Gaunt
Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs) Triston was born into House Gaunt of the Crownlands, a small knightly house. He led a fairly secluded life, not entering tourneys or bothering with the politics of the Seven Kingdoms. In 295 AL he actually decided to join the Nights Watch, after being moved by one of their pleas for new recruits. His father let him go since he was only a third son and it was a relief not to have to give him lands or money or something to do. Upon reaching the wall he went through basic training like all the other recruits. His training from his master-at-arms came in handy, it allowed him to quickly pass through to initiation and become a ranger.

By 300 AL he had become one of the senior rangers at the age of 23, probably due to his high status, training and the lack of sufficient rangers. He took part in the Battle for Castle Black and received a wound which has left his left arm slightly damaged. He actually decided to vote for Jon to become Lord Commander, but found his faith in him shattered when Jon later abandoned the watch to become King. He then switched his allegiance to Ser Alliser Thorne, who managed to win over much of the Nights Watch and become the new Lord Commander. Ser Alliser was very controversial, choosing to evict all the wildlings from the forts they had been given. Those wildlings who did not escape in time were massacred by angry and vengeful brothers of the nights watch. The only wildlings who were spared were those who took the Black and fully integrated with their new brothers.

Ser Alliser would lead the watch until 314 AL when he was killed on a ranging by wildlings. His body was never found. By 314 AL Ser Triston had become the First Ranger of the Watch, Benjen Stark still missing and assumed dead. As a veteran of the Battle of Castle Black, it was easy for the other members of the Nights Watch to support him. He has attempted to stop complete hostility between wildlings and Nights watch rangers, remembering a time of semi-peaceful trading between the two. He is generally thought of as a capable leader by his brothers, though they often get annoyed at how sombre and boring he seems to be. He is completely devoted to his vows, apart from the occasional trip to Moles Town, and does not hesitate to execute deserters and law-breakers.
Any Additional Information: The Nights Watch has grown since 300 AL, from around 1000 members to up to 2300. This is due to Jon Targaryen's support and a huge amount of prisoners being sent to the Watch after Daenery's victory. Triston hopes that King Aerion will continue to give this support, as the Watch is still undermanned.

I will put up an app for Grennan 'Ironsmile' soon, if these ones are acceptable. I wasn't sure what you were planning to do with the Others, so I left them out.

Nickname, if any: The Great Tiger
Title, if any: Triarch-for-Life of Volantis, Lord-General of the League of Norvos
Age: 48
Gender: Male
House Allegiance: Vorchin
Appearance: (Image)
Biography: Born in 282 AC, Zereno was the eldest and later only child of the minor Volantine noble house of Vorchin, who despite their illustrious bloodline being recorded all the way back to the Dragonlords of Valyria, had never exercised much influence within the city due to their somewhat militant nature.

He spent his childhood being tutored by a variety of figures, one year a red priest, the next a Pentoshi merchant, and then a sellsword captain and the year after a former captain in the Volantine fleet. This provided him with a fairly extensive education by the time he joined a Volantine sellsword company in 300AC, sailing against Daenerys in Slaver's Bay.

Zereno spent 3 years fighting Daenerys in Slaver's Bay alongside the Ghiscari, only heading back to Volantis after the Fall of Astapor and the decisive defeat of the united Ghiscari armies there. Shortly after returning to Volantis he inherited his familiy's assets, and spent the next few years crushing rebellions within Volantis, and his company was pivotal to destroying the 'Great Rebellion' of 307AC.

These decisive actions, and the weaknesses shown by the Triarchs in handling the rebellions, allowed Zereno to declare himself Triarch-for-Life of Volantis in 315AC. He used his sellswords to put down any nobles who objected, executed them and gave out their lands to those loyal to him as long as they had the blood of Old Valyria and could prove they did.

The next 13 years were spent rebuilding Volantis, it's finances and it's fleets. Volantis was almost entirely restored to it's former glory, but the Sack of Lys in 289AC shocked many within the city, and caused Zereno to increase the size of Volantis' fleet to levels not seen since it's destruction by Daenerys. The Sack of Tyrosh the next year further heightened this paranoia, and to prevent such a disaster happening again (and to create a Volantine Empire), Volantis formed the League of Norvos, named after the place where it was founded, made up of itself, Norvos, Qohor, Myr, Pentos and Lorath to prevent any further attacks on the Essosi mainland.

The Baratheon-Swanns
NS Nation Name: New Granadeseret

Character Name: Lassa Baratheon-Swann

Nickname, if any: N/A

Title, if any: Lady-Apparent of Strom's End

Age: 21

Gender: Female

House Allegiance: Baratheon-Swann

Appearance: http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/736x/ ... #40;Though dressed in pastille yellow and black)

Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs) Lassa was born the second and final child of former princess Shireen; the stress of the second birth combined with her resurgence of her greyscale proving to much for the lady, who died mere moments after Lassa entered the world. Raised under the same close watch as her brother, perhaps even closer with all the protections afforded a young lady, much of her childhood was spent in highly-structured, traditional lady-like activities such as dance, embroidery, and music. Though she remained close to her brother throughout, she found herself less able to connect with her tutors; as the usual warnings to be wary of men (common enough for women of every social stripe) combined with her house's specific brand of being risk-adverse, developing into what amounted to a mild case of paranoia. Early attempts to use her beauty to find a good husband on the courting scene backfired, as she proved incapable of socializing with them in a normal way. This problem only grew more intense when Steffon left to attend the Alchemist Guild, forced to bare the brunt of the diplomatic assult on Storm's End to the point she would retreat into her chambers of weeks at a time, saying nothing, eating little, and painting whatever storybook scenes or landscapes she could find in an effort to produce calmness and order.

Once puberty hit, however, she found herself in a confusing situation; suddenly wanting to be around others, but both embarrassed of her previous, unladylike behavior and frightened of their intentions. Slowly, with the guidance of a small group of trusted guards, handmaindens, and the calming Lady Melisandre, she's starting to come out of her shell; able to speak with others just fine, so long as they are not looking at her: as she's become worried about her appearance; her fascination with stories and artwork combined with a lower sense of self-esteem giving her a completely unrealistic expectation of how a lady should look. She takes compliments poorly, always wondering the intent behind them, but is otherwise a skilled conversationalist: if a passive one.

By and large, Lassa is a good, traditional lady in her desires; wanting to create and embody beauty and find a good husband. However, she is even more politically done-deaf than her brother, equally suspicious of everybody outside her small circle. She is well-versed in art and culture, as well as everything a good lady ought to be. She is easily startled, has extremely mixed and unpredictable feelings about violence (The glory in her stories vs. the dread of danger her upbringing instilled in her), and has a fascination with Lysian culture (Though the later isen't well known)

Any Additional Information: Extremely self-conscious about being looked at, particularly about making eye contact with people: you have to get her very used to your presence over multiple visits before she will look at you, unless you've already established trust (This small group basically consists of her brother, handmaidens, and guardians). If put in a situation where people are trying to, she tends to run away if possible, or lash out feebly like a scared animal. An extremely fine painter

Age: 24

House Allegiance: Baratheon-Swann
Appearance: http://s230.photobucket.com/user/Razgri ... r.jpg.html
Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs) The unfortunate child of former Princess Shireen, in another time perhaps Steffon would be sitting up on the Iron Throne himself. Sadly, that birthright was stolen when his grandfather, King Stannis Baratheon, met his fate at the blade of a faceless assassin. Rather than become the pawn of those factions who opposed the Targaryan rule to power, Shireen was taken from King's Landing in the dead of night by these second son of one of his Stormland lords; Donnel of House Swann, holed up in the fortress of Dragonstone while Maester Pylos remained as a representative in new court of John Targaryen, seeking to reach some kind of terms which would allow for at least one of the three branches of the ancient house Baratheon to survive. Thankfully; young, sickly, and a woman to boot, Shireen could easily pass as a non-threat and was allowed to maintain her family's ancestral rule over the Stormlands, in exchange for surrendering the Targaryen's ancestral lands in the Narrow Sea. Having fallen in love with her valiant rescuer and protector during her escape to and stay in Dragonstone; and the sworn servents of House Baratheon eager to get an heir to the house, Shireen and Donnel were wed witin a few months of returning to King's Landing, reducing their house's presence in King's Landing to an absolute minimum in a desperate attempt to avoid any appearance of scheming.

Steffon was born out of this union in 306 AAL, on one of the rare, completely calm nights in Storm's End. Though the labor was difficult, his mother survived the ordeal, naming him after his grandfather in hopes he would carry on the Baratheon spirit. Sadly, she would not last much longer, as she died in labor two years later giving birth to his younger sister, leaving the House's existence hanging by a thread. Pained by the lose of his wife and his sense of knightly duty showing itself, Donnel raised his two children in a very sheltered environment, taking a much more involved role in their upbringing than befit his station. Always supervised and rarely allowed to leave Storm's End, Steffon was largely isolate from other boys his age, with their adventures and games of fighting. Instead, from a young age, he quickly took the Maester's tower and the lectures and ceremonies of Priestess Melisandre to satisfy his curiosity and stave off boredom. Literate by the age of 7 and constantly versing himself in the religious and scientific arts, he delved deeply into the castle archives, sending out for exotic and mysterious books from across the Narrow Sea, the Citadel, and even the Alchemist's guild when the fancy struck him. While allowed to attend court, particularly to watch his father issue judgement and attend advisor meetings; Donnel's way of preparing him for taking the position one day, even once he'd become a man grown he's kept away from tourneys, and his Maester and guards never far from his side during feasts. This sort of unmanly behavior, alongside his feminine physic (as a result of no real martial training) and soft-spoken attitude has lead to several rumors about his
'preferences', complicated by the fact that he's never left alone with a woman from another house (paranoia about an assassination attempt still well on people's minds); being one of the main reasons he has yet to wed despite the House's need of heirs.

During the Tyrell rebellion, House Baratheon was courted by both sides, seeking to exploit any possible benefit Steffon's arguable claim to the throne could bring. Though his father, age starting to chip away at his fighting ability, pressed for weighing in on the Tyrell's side in hopes of regaining the Baratheon throne, he was unable to push Steffon; 15 and old enough that the fear of fighting his instructors had taught him was beat firmly into his mind, but not old enough to overcome it, to agree: utterly paralyzed by the thought of having to lead an army. Instead, he declared he would attend the Alchemist's Guild; the Citadel and Faith being unacceptable to his father and council, as it would leave House Baratheon with no male heir for the second generation in a row. Taken to King's Landing in disguise, he spent the next 5 years studying their ancient arts, learning what he could of chemistry, medicine, and lore from the Pyromancers, devoting himself to trying to unlock their secrets and studying what old magic could be revived, now that the return of dragons to the world gave some strength to the old formula. He only returned to Storm's End when Donnel died to a failure of the heart, to succeed him as Lord of Storm's End.

From a combination of his over-regulated upbringing and scholarly training, Steffon would largely be considered a disgrace to the Baratheon family name; weak, soft-spoken, and craven, he is completely out of place in the world of courtly intrigue; a far better administrator than leader. He has little interest in commanding his house, more attracted to the mysteries of alchemy and history. However, he has also inherited his grandfather's sense of duty, and preforms his responsibilities with dignity and the attention they deserve (even if not the aptitude). Though not keen to exploit others, he is also hardly a pushover himself; well-aware that those from other houses might wish to harm him, or put him and his people in harm's way for their own gains. Like the fortress he occupies, he stands firm against the storm from either side, wishing only for peace and harmony. He has only a few sore spots that set off his temper; namely, those who sound insult his sister or mock his faith, which cause him to, calmly and collectively, order somebody in his service to explain to them the error of their ways.

Any Additional Information: A devout follower of the Lord of Light, having been thoroughly indoctrinated by Lady Melisandre in his youth. Still unmarried and rumored to be attracted to the same sort, but actually just paranoid of commitment to a foreign alliance.

Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs) Riliane Wendwater was brought into the world by Cassana Wendwater who died during childbirth, her father Robert who had fallen madly in love with Cassana vowed to never marry again much to the annoyance of his maester and advisers; leaving Riliane to be his heir.

As his only child, Riliane was doted upon and quite frankly spoiled. With Robert hoping that her happiness would transform into kindness and generosity and that she'd become a fair and just ruler when she matured. That did not happen. Instead Riliane has become vain and proud.

In 328AL Robert Wendwater died in his sleep and Riliane succeeded him, becoming the lady of Wendwater. During her short rule she has already became immensely unpopular with the smallfolk for her cruelty and uncaring nature.

Age: Fifty-two.
Gender: Female
House Allegiance: Mormont
Appearance: Alysane is short and stocky, with muscular arms, legs, and hands. Her hair is long and brown with streaks of gray flowing through it.
Biography: Alysane Mormont is the second daughter of Maege Mormont and oldest surviving child. She assumed the title of heir to Bear Island, following the death of her sister Dacey at the Red Wedding. Alysane led an assault on the ironborn off of Deepwood Motte, caprturing several notable ironmen for ransom, and allowing for Stannis' capture of the castle. Following the battle House Mormont bent the knee to Stannis Baratheon and supported hi throughout the reainder of the war, even after the death of Lady Maege and Alysane's ascension.

With the war over Alysane returned to Bear Island with her three sisters and two children. For years the island was calm and peaceful. The only events of interest were the standard raids by wildlings of the Frozen Shore, the odd ironborn ship, and the discovery of several large silver veins across the island. These new veins have turned Bear Island from an out of the way fishing island to a bustling trade center. Ships from as far as the Reach come to Bear Island to trade goods for the island's silver.

This has allowed Alysane to perform much need upgrades to the island and Mormont Keep. The wooden log hall and palisades have been replaced with a stone keep and walls and expanding the fishing port to accommodate the trading vessels that frequent the islands. Ser Jorah Mormont never attempted to return to his boyhood home, and Alysane is unsure whether she would have beheaded him or welcomed him. However, when she heard of his death she had his bones returned to Bear Island where he was buried with the ceremony befitting the death of a Mormont.

Alysane has two children, who she claims were fathered by a bear. Her oldest a daughter, named Jenne who is thirty-two and a son Jame who is twenty-five.

Conor Baelish

The Bastard of Harrenhal
Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs): The last surviving heir of Petyr Baelish, Conor Baelish is the embodiment of that house in its fullest not only in character but as its last survivor. A bastard he was Baelish’s second son, born to the great Westerosi intriguer by his mistress, a young ravishing scion of the Gulltown branch of House Arryn named Mahaut some twelve years before his execution. Despite this though Baelish ordered for the boys legitimization perhaps out of favour for his mistress or perhaps to shore up the Baelish line, whatever the case in hindsight it saved the very house itself.

Indeed though Baelish had ultimately legitimized Conor, it was unexpected that he would raise the lad personally especially after having the year prior seen his young bride a girl from the House of Royce give birth to an heir, Morwyn. However that assumption quickly changed. Described as a precocious, intelligent and sensitive child he opposed his elder half-sibling the reckless, overreaching and devious Morwyn. In light of this while Morwyn went out to train under the grizzled old Kettleblacks or Lothor Brune, Conor stayed close to his father soaking in the trade of not a swordsman but a diplomat, statesman and intriguer, and oh how it shone in him.

Quickly proving the most politically apt of his father’s brood through his sheer intellect and education he was singled out to serve as a page boy at the royal Targaryen court at the age of eleven. Though many at the time saw it as a means of removing the boy to placate the ever furious Lady Baelish who along with her son resented Baelish’s favor of the boy by removing him to the royal court. It was there that Conor a year later after having squired under a powerful court Lord the current Lord Tully, and soaking in the intrigues of the capital received the crushing news, his father had been murdered. Slain by the Arryns he’d so faithfully served, and leaving the new fugitive Morwyn as Lord of Harrenhal. Recognizing that if Morwyn reached Harrenhal, he would immiediatly expel the bastard scion of Petyr and his whore mother, recognizing the need for receiving the backing of a powerful Lord turned to his technical overlord and mentor, Lord Robert Tully.

Lord Robert himself proved little surprised by Conor's approach to him to back him over his elder brother the heir presumptive. However while at first the Lord procrastinated, Conor using his words and carefully placed rumours through his retainers and a few carefully bought Valemen painted a black picture of the Baelish heir. Describing his brother as an absolute abomination a sadist, a rapist and depraved killer, they were largely based on fact, as the Lord Baelish had grown rather detached from his heir and so Morwyn had come under several vile influences including his notorious cruel mother, resulting in certain proclivities despite a young age. Soon enough Robert relented further spurred by Conor who noted unlike Morwyn, he could not draw on the backing of a powerful relatives house nor would he press that ever fiery Baelish claim as Lord Paramount of the Trident.

Indeed with that in a fortnight the young bastard, his whore mother, retainers and a Tully army made their way to Harrenhal. There after a brief standoff with the Baelish retainers, Conor had the doors swung open and took residence in his new estate, proclaiming himself Regent of Harrenhal despite his sheer youth. However as the young Valeman bastard settled in among the ruins of Harren’s blackened hall with his prized books, awaiting a Royce army to come and try and force him from his hall, another act occurred that night.

Morwyn, now a fugitive along with his mother and few loyal Baelish retainers had fled to Runestone seeking asylum after they’d hurriedly fled the Eyrie to find the Gates of the Moon slammed shut before him. There the Royces briefly pledged defiance in favor of their kinsman, all the while writing to the Eyrie with news of the young Lords location and pledging loyalty. Soon after in the dead of the night as the young Lordling slept half-drunk on the wine offered in celebration of his arrival a band of knights entered his quarters and hacked the intoxicated youth in his bed. With that act and the subsequent butchering of the Baelish household save Brune House Baelish had been forever exiled from the Vale, and they would never return.

With that Lord Conor was left the sole ruler of Harrenhal as vassal of the House of Tully and Targaryen, remaining safe behind Harren's great walls. However as the smallfolk have gone about tilling Harrenhals fields, and though few a tourney or feast has been held there over the years Lord Conor has been busy. Enraged by the murder of his father and out of pride for the Baelish name he has used his mind, connections and ambitions to slowly but surely rebuild the family connections, from the brothels of Flea Bottom all the way to the Red Keep itself, House Baelish and Lord Conor have waited patiently for opportunity and now it may very well have arrived as the bastard boy has emerged a man and a cunning one at that.

Hellfire

Valyrian Steel Sword | Used by: KRUGMAR
Forged: 236 BC (Approximately) | Given to Talaemor 309 AC

This Valyrian Steel sword was forged before the Doom, during the golden age of Valyria. It's original name is unknown, having been renamed and reforged after the Doom took Valyria. Taehaerys Vaeleneos, Dragonlord of Mantarys, watched as the Doom took Valyria with fear and disgust. He and his eldest son rode their dragons, the only living ones that the Vaeleneos had, and flew towards Valyria. Taehaerys III never returned from the trip but his son, Taeheva managed to return. Taeheva was slightly burnt and wounded, yet his dragon had suffered mortal wounds and died within a few days. Taeheva carried with him the broken and mostly destroyed blade, saying one word only, "Hellfire". He never regained his sanity, choosing to take his own life several months later, leaving the sword and Mantarys to his brother.

Taehaerys IV had the blade reforged and rebuilt, as the secrets of Valyrian Steel had not yet been lost. He renamed it Hellfire, to commemorate the Doom and loss of his father, brother and their dragons. The last egg of the Vaeleneos would later hatch, but give only a stillborn dragon. The sword was passed down the family line until 46 AC when it was lost to Ellyrian pirates. Taevar II "the Relentless" spent ten years hunting down the sword, putting entire pirate havens to the torch. Eventually in 57 AC he recovered the sword after tracking it down to the stepstones.

In 156 AC, Taegeron I sold the sword to merchants from Tyrosh who sold him fake dragon eggs. His son, Taegeron II "the Brutal" slew him for this and took his army to Tyrosh. Taegeron's siege lasted a week before he was slain by his brother Taenar II. Taenar II lifted the siege and in return Tyrosh returned the sword to him and allowed his army to return to Mantarys.

Since then there have been no incidents involving the sword, returning to passing down the family line. Its latest wielder is Talaemor Vaelenos, inheriting it after his father died.

Additional Information: It is a Longsword.

Origins

The Vaeleneos family started out as simple sheep farmers, like the other Valyrian families. They were one of the few that learnt how to tame the dragons in the Fourteen Fires and bind them to their will. They took part in the Ghiscari wars, using their dragons to great effect and making a name for themselves. They became one of the forty families that in effect ruled Valyria, part of the Dragonlords. They did not stay in the capital of Valyria for long, eventually relocating to Mantarys after it was built and taking control of the city. From here the family created its powerbase, though its isolation from the capital meant that they were not among the most prominent families in the Freehold.

Vaelenean Line | 5000 BC? - 3546 BC?

Vaelen I "the Proud" | Born: 5000 BC? | Reigned: 5000 BC? - ? |

According to the legends, the Vaeleneos family was founded by Vaelen the Proud. A Dragonlord who took part in the Ghiscari wars and helped shape Valyria. No official records of him exist, though his legends likely have factual roots. According to some tales he lived for three hundred years, was eight feet tall and founded Mantarys himself though these are obviously false. All the legends agree that his dragon was golden, which is the accepted reason for the golden banner of the Vaelenos.

-Gaps in the records, either lost in the doom or more likely never written down-

Coraeun Line | 3546 BC - 2483 BC |
Coraeus I "the Founder" | Born: 3567 BC | Reigned: 3546 - 3506 BC |[/b]

Coraeus is credited with founding the city Mantarys in 3543 BC, though it is likely that he simply took credit for its construction. He moved his family there and took complete control, since they were one of the more minor dragonlord families in Valyria. It is said that he was very extravagant, spending much of his wealth and expanding the Vaelenos palace to its current size.

Coraeus VII "the Warmongerer" | Born 3207 BC | Reigned: 3200 - 3151 BC |

Ascending to the throne at seven years old, the seventh Coraeus grew up to be a bloodthirsty maniac. He sought war and was angered by the peace within the freehold. Therefore he began attacking nearby Valyrian cities and raiding smallfolk near Mantarys. His skill in battle was legendary, the other dragonlords gave up on trying to control him after he defeated several of them in battle. His greatest enemy was one he could not defeat, old age and old battle wounds. He died in bed, hated for his attitude but respected for his skill.

Coraehaerys II "the Weak" | Born 2515 BC | Reigned: 2485 - 2483 BC |

The last of the Coraeun line, Coraehaerys was a weak willed Dragonlord. He had been unable to even tame a dragon, rejected for his weakness. Unfortunately he was the last direct descendant of Coraeus and so the crown fell to him at the age of 30. Within two years he had been killed and his lands taken by Jaeverys Vaeleneos, few mourned him.

Jaeverean Line | 2483 BC - 1499 BC |

Jaeverys I "the Usurper" | Born 2520 BC | Reigned: 2483 BC - 2433 BC |

The first of this line, he usurped the title and lands from his distant kin after weakness prevailed within the house. He is remembered as being fair, old and wise despite what his title seems to suggest. In fact, the people of Mantarys cheered and called him Usurper as a token of honour.

Jaenys VI "the Daydreamer" | Born 2030 BC | Reigned 1990 BC - 1968 BC |

Coming to the title late in his life, Jaenys had spent much time as an explorer. His reign reflected this as he spent most of his time flying around and exploring the sights of the world and left the ruling to his sons and wives. At the age of 62 he set out towards the Shadowlands and never returned. His people waited faithfully for five years before allowing the coronation of a new dragonlord.

Jaeverys XXI "the Beast of Mantarys" | Born 1540 BC | Reigned: 1524 - 1499 BC |

Perhaps one of the worst dragonlords of Valyria. Jaeverys the twenty first was a monster of a man. He was considered ugly and deformed and his inner nature reflected this. He enjoyed torturing his friends and foes alike and grew more and more depraved. Eventually he began eating them along with other vile acts. His reign came to an end after he butchered most of his immediate family and ate his sister-wives. He was killed in the Mantaryan riot and was pulled apart by the people, his limbs burnt to ashes and his name only uttered in disgust. His death sparked the Kinslaying, a huge civil war in Mantarys that lasted 12 years.

The Kinslaying | 1499 BC - 1487 BC |

The Claimants

Jaegar III "the Unloved" | Born 1532 BC | Reigned early 1499 BC - late 1499 BC | Died: 1495 BC |
Those in italics never ruled from Mantarys

The last dragon-rider of the Jaeverean Line. A prudent and well meaning noble, quite skilled in combat yet unloved by the people. He gathered a huge army of Tolosi mercenaries and Jaeverean loyalists yet this army fell apart after his death in the Doomed Battle. The Tolosi switched to the winning side, his loyalists were wiped out in the battle.

Haelmerion Vaeleneos "of the Hammer" | Born 1546 BC | Died: 1495 BC |
Those coloured in Red died at the Doomed Battle, near the Black Cliffs.

A huge and imposing Valyrian of the Haelmeros Line, wielding a huge hammer which gave him his name. He commanded a lot of respect and rallied many nobles to his cause, having the second largest army of the claimants. He was killed in the Doomed Battle and his forces joined Talaemor.

Aelgereon Targaryen "the Bastard" | Born 1523 BC | Died: 1495 BC |

A bastard of the Targaryen dynasty, he was given mercenaries and funding by that family to gain them a stronghold in Northern Valyria. He was a skilled fighter and a decent strategist, though he was killed in the Doomed Battle and his mercenaries disbanded. His involvement would create a fierce hate of the Targaryens by the Vaeleneos family that survives to this day.

Yalverys Vaeleneos "the Thunderer" | Born 1531 BC | Died: 1495 BC |

One of the greatest warriors the Vaeleneos had ever produced. Yalverys was known for his booming voice and use of sword and axe in combat, making it hard for others to fight his unorthodox style. He easily beat his foe in the Doomed Battle yet was unable to defeat his foes dragon, being burnt alive. He commanded few forces and these forces eventually surrendered to Talaemor.

Sinmaeron Vaeleneos "the Merry Old Man" | Born 1556 BC | Died: 1495 BC |

A rather old member of the Vaeleneos line who felt that he could perhaps win the throne. He was a poor fighter, poor strategist with little wealth and an old dragon. It is said that he was still laughing before his decapitation in the battle, leading many to conclude that his involvement was due to potential madness. His men abandoned the battlefield quickly after battle was joined.

Faenar Tilvarryon "the Intervener" | Born 1535 BC | Died 1493 BC |

A scion of House Tilvarryon, sent north with an army to conquer Mantarys for his house. He was smart enough to stay out of the Doomed Battle and he almost won the siege of Mantarys. His first mistake, and last, was engaging Talaemor in single combat during the assault.

Haelmerion I "not of the Hammer" | Born 1524 BC | Reigned 1493 - Early 1490 | Died Late 1490 BC |

The only son of Haelmerion "of the Hammer", significantly weaker and far more inexperienced. He used a sword and shield in combat which earned him his nickname. He actually reigned in Mantarys for two years, though it was little more than a ruin by that stage. He eventually fled after hearing of Talaemor returning north, though his army got caught in the Black Cliffs and he was slain.

Jaenys Vaeleneos "the Unready" | Born 1511 BC | Died: 1487 BC |

The last surviving member of the Jaevereon line, the son of Jaegar III. He had been fighting Haelmerion, after Talaemor fled south, to little success. He managed to flee earlier than Haelmerion and escaped to Slavers Bay where he enlisted a huge slave army. He lost the battle of the Demon Road and was slain in personal combat by Talaemor.

Talaemor I "the Champion" | Born 1534 BC | Reigned 1495 - 1493 | Reigned 1487 BC - 1466 BC |
Talaemor technically took Mantarys in 1495, but was unable to rule properly until 1487

Details of the Civil war

The death of Jaeverys XXI left a massive power vacuum in Mantarys, as the direct family had all been massacred by him. Jaegar, a distant cousin, stepped up and took control of the city a few days after the riots. He was a respectable man, a known warrior and dragon-rider, yet his family was tainted as far as the people were concerned. He ruled with some difficulty for a year before he had to flee the city with his loyalist soldiers. He fled to Tolos where he gained the support of the local lord who lent him money to hire mercenaries.

In early 1498 BC, no less than 7 other dragon-riders claimed Lordship over Mantarys, with two of them not even belonging to the Vaeleneos family. Soon the Northern part of Valyria was split between supporting these different claimants, few of them had any real claim over the city other than distant blood relation. For three years little happened, only small skirmishes with few strategic gains or losses happening. This changed with the aptly named Doomed Battle, Six Dragon-riders entered and only one returned alive.

The Doomed Battle was a colossal battle, it has been estimated that potentially 20,000 slave soldiers were killed and 5000 Valyrian freemen died in this battle. Over five dragons and their riders were killed. The battle took place in plains, between some of the Black Cliff mountains. Little is known of what actually happened during the battle, but some details are known. Haelmerion Vaelenos killed Aelgerion Targaryen, caving in his breastplate with his hammer. Yalvaerys Vaeleneos decapitated Sinmaeron Vaeleneos but ended up being burnt alive by his dragon. Talaemor Vaeleneos fought and killed Jaegar III, killing his dragon and stabbing him through the eye. Haelmerion and Talaemor agreed to duel on the ground out of respect for each other. Haelmerion crushed Talaemor's left arm and nearly killed him, yet was undone by a quick slice to his knee which crippled him, allowing Talaemor to gain the upper hand and press his sword through Haelmerion's chest. Haelmerion's dragon went berserk and was killed by several scorpion artillery.

Out of this battle emerged a bruised, but victorious, Talaemor. Yet the civil war was not over, despite this crushing defeat for most of the other claimants. The only other claimant alive was Faenar Tilvarryon, a dragon-rider with a tiny blood claim on Mantarys. He had been wise enough to keep his troops out of the Doomed Battle and wait for the outcome. As Talaemor left the battlefield with his battered army Faenar attacked and completely routed Talaemor's forces. Talaemor fled back to Mantarys to raise more troops and put an end to the war, Faenar followed and laid siege to Mantarys.

The Siege of Mantarys lasted for two years, with Talaemor and his forces holing themselves within the city. Faenar eventually resorted to an assault after his troops began talking of desertion. The assault lasted for three days and laid waste to large parts of Mantarys. Faenar's dragon was shot down and died but he managed to survive. His superior forces managed to make their way into the Mantaryan Palace where he finally clashed swords with Talaemor. This was a grave mistake, Talaemor was a great swordsman and easily beat Faenar. Faenar was killed and his forces decided to surrender and join Talaemor. It seemed that the war was at an end, yet several claimants still remaining deciding to declare for themselves as they believed Talaemor to be significantly weakened.

Haelmerion "not of the hammer" was the son of the first Haelmerion. He gathered a small army several weeks after the assault on Mantarys and set about conquering the land around it. Talaemor fled the ruined city with his forces and fled south for two years, leaving Haelmerion the city and the land. Talaemor gained support from several southern valyrian families who were upset over the ruined trade in the north. He gained enough wealth to hire a massive army of mercenaries and returned home to Mantarys. Haelmerion tried fleeing but he and his forces were caught in the Black Cliffs. His army was annihilated and he was no match for Talaemor, being easily killed. Yet another claimant still remained, one who Haelmerion had spent his time fighting while Talaemor had been south.

Jaenys was the son of Jaegar III and had declared himself Lord of Mantarys after Talaemor had fled south. He gained a large following of Jaeverean loyalists and was backed by Ellyrian and Tolosi mercenaries, he spent two years fighting Haelmerion yet was unable to gain victory. He fled quickly when he heard that Talaemor was returning north and managed to escape his army, fleeing to the Slavers bay. There he sold the rights to the Demon Road in return for slave soldiers from the cities and one thousand unsullied. In 1487 BC his army met Talaemor's in the biggest clash since the Doomed battle. His slave soldiers quickly melted from the superior Valyrian mercenaries that Talaemor had, even his unsullied struggled to hold the line. Realising that he was losing the battle he decided to meet Talaemor in personal combat, deciding to end the Kinslaying once and for all. He was young as was his dragon and they were no match for the battle-hardened and experienced Talaemor and his dragon. Talaemor massacred some ofthe Great Masters of Meereen for supporting his enemy and accepting the rights to the Demon Road.

Finally the Kinslaying was over, Talaemor had emerged victorious yet House Valaenos was essentially ruined. Most of their dragon-riders had been killed, nearly every line of the family had been extinguished and Mantarys was left in mostly ruins. The House would never fully recover, yet the land and city would. The Talaemorean line would now rule, and it still does to this day.

Talaemorean Line

Talaemor I "the Champion | Born 1534 BC | Reigned 1487 - 1466 BC |

The champion of the Kinslaying and victor of the civil war. Talaemor emerged physically and mentally weakened, his energy spent and his will broken. He spent the next twenty years of his life resting and left his son to rule in his stead. Few disagreed with this, he certainly deserved the rest.

Talaemor XXXI "the Forger" | Born: 255 BC | Reigned 240 - 190 BC |

Little happened in his reign other than the forging of the Valyrian sword that would become 'Hellfire'. At this time the family owned several such swords, yet this would be the only one to survive.

Taehaerys II "the Great" | Born 230 BC | Reigned 190 - 151 BC |
The last true Dragonlord of the Valaeneos House. He managed to regain full control over the Demon Road and finally restored Mantarys to its original wealth from the start of the Kinslaying. He is remembered fondly as a great warrior, diplomat and father.

Taekar VII "the Prudent" | Born 201 BC | Reigned 151 - 131 BC |

Much like his father in every aspect. Little of note happened in his reign.

Taehaerys III "the Doomed" | Born 164 BC | Reigned 131 BC - 114 BC |

Tahaerys III took after his father in every aspect, being a fair ruler, and many looked forward to his reign. He was already experienced with children when he came to the throne and his short reign was peaceful and prosperous. It ended only due to the Doom in Valyria. He made a disastrous decision to find out what was happening and flew south with his heir. It is assumed that he and his dragon were killed in the Doom. He is remembered fondly but also sadly by members of the House, being regarded as the last hope of the House.

Taehaeva V "the Mad" | Born 134 BC | Reigned 114- 114 BC |

Taehaeva accompanied his father on the exploration of Southern Valyria during the doom. The experience sent him mad and killed his dragon, he only just made it home to Mantarys. He was forever changed, screaming only about Hellfire and after several months he took his own life. He was the last dragon-rider of the House.

Taehaerys IV "the Firm" | Born 129 BC | Reigned 114 - 70 BC |

Taehaerys took control of Mantarys after his brother took his own life. He remained resolute during the Doom and the collapse of the Freehold, refusing to give up or let Mantarys collapse. He kept the city together and convinced the people of Mantarys to stay. He was a just, but fairly harsh ruler. His attempt at hatching his dragon egg in 6 AC failed and his left arm was badly burnt. This dragon egg was the last the Vaeleneos had, though their vault was full of fossilized dragon-eggs. He later died at the age of 59, suffering from his burn wounds and old memories.

Taevar I "the Mindless" | Born 4 AC | Reigned 32 - 46 AC |

Regarded as an idiot by the other members of his family. He left the ruling to his younger brother, also called Taevar. He was killed in 46 AC when Ellyrian pirates stormed his ship and made off with Hellfire, the Valyrian steel sword.

Taevar II "the Relentless" | Born 7 AC | Reigned 46 - 80 AC |

The younger brother and regent for Taevar I. A proud warrior and skilled statesman, he put together a fleet with Tolosi help and spent ten years tracking down the Ellyrian pirates. He eventually found them, destroyed their haven and skinned them alive, sending their flayed bodies to the Stepstones and to Ellyria as a reminder of the punishment for piracy. He spent the next thirty years ruling Mantarys and restoring it to its former glory before dying of old age.

Taenar I "the Good"| Born 36 AC | Reigned 80 - 115 AC |

The son of Taevar II. He was like his father in almost every way, ruling well and effectively. He had a short war with the Ellyrians which amounted to very little. He later died of old age.

Taegeron I "the Idiot" | Born 80 AC | Reigned 115 - 156 AC |

Born late into his fathers reign, he managed to survive when his much older brothers died of the plague. He was rather dimwitted his whole life, being ruled by his advisers and wives. His only claim to fame was when he sold Hellfire for a batch of fake dragon eggs. His son, fed up with his decrepit father, decided to slay him and take power.

Taegeron II "the Brutal" | Born 110 AC | Reigned 156 - 156 AC |

Taegeron hated his father, choosing to take power by force rather than rot away waiting for him to die. He immediately took the Mantaryan army to Tyrosh and laid siege to it. His siege lasted a week before he was betrayed by his brother, Taenar, and stabbed in the back.

Taenar II "Backstabber" | Born 115 AC | Reigned 156 - 170 AC |

Taenar betrayed and killed his older brother, despite loving him dearly. He foresaw the ruin that would befall the House if the attack on Tyrosh was allowed to happen. He returned home with Hellfire and an intact army yet was hated by the people. He was killed in a riot at the age of 55, never able to restore the trust of the people.

Talaemor XXXII | Born 140 AC | Reigned 170 - 210 AC |

Known for brutally crushing the people after the riots which killed his father. Had an unstable but generally peaceful reign.

Taevar III | Born 173 AC | Reigned 210 - 233 AC |

Nothing of note happened within this reign.

Talaemor XXXIII | Born 198 AC | Reigned 233 - 259 AC |

Nothing of note happened within this reign.

Talaemor XXXIV | Born 228 BC | Reigned 259 - 281 AC |

Nothing of note happened within this reign.

Taenar III "the Peaceful" | Born 246 AC | Reigned 281 - 309 AC |

The father of the thirty-fifth Talaemor. He bent the knee to Daenaerys Targaryen in 300 AC after she threatened to march on Mantarys. He spent the last nine years of his life filled with hate, conspiring with his wives and son to overthrow the Targaryens. He was mourned greatly by his son and people when he died.

Talaemor XXXV "the Demon of Mantarys" | Born 293 AC | Reign 309 - Current |

The current Lord of Mantarys. Led a successful war against the Tolosi and has been very aggressive towards his liege Lord. Seeks independence for Northern Valyria and can barely keep his anger down at the thought of a Targaryen as his overlord.

There's also my main character.
The cold ice wrote:NS Nation Name: The Cold Ice
House Name: Tully of Riverrun
Leader: Lord Robert Tully, son of Edmure Tully
Lands: Riverrun, Lord Paramount of the Trident
Overlord, if any: Lord Edmure Tully supported Jon and Daenerys under the Tyrell rebellion.
Coat of Arms:[spoiler](Image)

NS Nation Name:The cold Ice
Character Name: Lord Robert Tully
Nickname, if any: The little hammer, no longer in use
Title, if any: Lord of Riverrun, Lord Paramount of the Trident
Age: Born in 300 AC
Gender: Male
House Allegiance: Tully
Appearance: Middle height, auburn hair, blue eyes, clean shaven. More or less book!Edmure without the beard.
Biography (At least 2 well written paragraphs) Son of Edmure and Roslin Frey, Robert(named for Robb Stark, the slain king in the north) was born shortly after the siege of Riverrun. He was then taken with his father and mother to Casterly Rock, where he spent a year. After the end of the war of the five kings, Stannis raised house Tully back to it's rightful place, causing Petyr Baelish to remain in the Vale, rather than come to his seat in Harrenhal. Lord Edmure and his family returned to Riverrun, the Freys having left under orders of the king.

During the Tyrell rebellion Lord Edmure supported Jon and Daenerys, but spent most his time fighting forces in the Riverlands, led by Baelish men from Harrenhal and Freys. With Lord Walder dead, however, the Freys were far from united. The Freys of Riverrun and the Freys of the Crossing fought disunited, and Perwyn Frey led the Freys by Bethany Rosby on Edmure's side. After the war the Freys were exhausted, and Perwyn was able to claim the Crossing. The forces of Harrenhal were taken in the field by an army led by Robert, and the castle has been empty since that time. It was during the fights near Harrenhal that Robert Tully gained the name "the little hammer", due to his resemblance in name and manner to Robert Baratheon.

Robert married Agnes Mallister in 321. Their son Hoster Tully was born the next year. Four years ago Edmure Tully died and Robert became the Lord of Riverrun.
Everyone calls me Ice.

Maybe, or I could just make an archive thread...
