The Teyamusari language is an Ainu language spoken among the Senkaka tribe and was the main lingua franca in Teyamusar and the Kuril Islands until the fall of the Senkaka tribe as rulers, was the language spoken by the nobles. It is written in the Hiragana script, and has left a tremendous influence on succeeding dynasties.

I think you have your Japanese alphabets confused, Luz... IIRC, hiragana has more rounded strokes whereas katakana has sharper ones. And the one you're using definitely looks more like katakana than hiragana.

Ah, thanks. I was a bit tired.

Merry Christmas, all! It is not, however, Christmas in Bharata or Selattanah today. This is in part because the Julian calendar is used, and because Christmas and Easter have been moved to more closely align with Diwali and Holi respectively, and thus occur on Julian November 1 and Julian March 1. So in 2014, Bharatans and Selattans celebrated Christmas on Gregorian November 14, and celebrated Easter on Gregorian March 14.

Note: For the sake of simplicity, I've decided that the missionaries bring the Julian calendar over, and the Bharatans and Selattans adopt it but rename all the months.

I might also make Christmas and Easter multi-day holidays, but November 1 and March 1 will be the 'official' days of Jesus Christ's birth and resurrection in Bharata and Selattanah, and thus the biggest days.

Teyamusar or its successors won't celebrate Christmas at all, but a similar tradition will exist during their new year.

December 25 is the fourth day of the Yule Festival, which runs from December 21 to 28. It is celebrated in Teutonica and other major Germanic faith countries.

December 25 is Britannia's Kaisersdag (to celebrate the foundation of the British Empire). They do not celebrate Yule, however, Kaisersdag is a very pious day. Usually, temples are packed with visitors for ceremonies about the celebration.

In Arabia, it's a minor religious day to commemorate Isa ibn al-Nasariyyah's life.

(incomplete; more will be added)

BHARATAN CHRISTIANITY

Bharatan Christianity(Greek: Μπαράτι Χριστιανισμός, Baráti Christianismós), officially the Oriental Christian Church(Greek: Ανατολικών Χριστιανική Εκκλησία, Anatolikó̱n Christianikí̱ Ekkli̱sía) is the unique branch of Christianity brought to South Asia by Hebrew and Greek missionaries, and later to areas of Indonesia by Bharatan military conquest, viewed by Bharatans and Selattans as the one true Christian church. The church's origins are often traced back by believers to the 12 Apostles, with the general consensus being that the other Christian sects "split away" under Saint Thomas in the 70s CE, when Jana-Pabitrasnana Mahimanbijeta of Bengal converted to Bharatan Christianity and expanded his rule over Tamizh and Odisha.

Bharatan Christianity is a unitarian sect, which states that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, fully human and fully divine, and places importance not only on the teachings of Christ but also on the teachings of his associates, who form the list of saints in Bharatan Christianity. They rejected the authority of other Christian groups and councils, and their separation from Rome by Persia allowed Bharatan Christianity to flourish as a unique sect. It also adopted some aspects of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, resulting in certain differences between Bharatan Christianity and its greatly less common European counterparts.

Bharatan Doctrine

Bharatan worship is focused around a large collection of figures regarded to be close to either God or Jesus, and thus instrumental in the birth and spread of Christianity. While the focus of worship is generally God and Jesus, there are several divine figures and saints venerated by Bharatan Christians.

God- The monotheistic deity and creator of the universe, often called 'the Creator, the Sustainer, and the Destroyer'. Viewed as the Father of Jesus Christ and the ruler of the Kingdom of Heaven. In Bharatan Christianity, he adopted some aspects of Vishnu, Shiva, and Brahma.
Gabriel- God's messenger angel and one of the four archangels. Said to have informed the Virgin Mary of Christ's impending birth. Having adopted some aspects of the deity Hanuman, he is also viewed as a trickster who outsmarted various opponents of God.
Michael- One of the four archangels, generally viewed as supporting God's rule within the Kingdom of Heaven. In Bharatan Christianity, Michael adopts some elements of the naga Sesha, who is an ally of Vishnu in Hinduism.
Raphael- Viewed as God's healer and as one of the four archangels. He is also seen as inspiring artistic and scientific progress. In Bharatan Christianity, Raphael has adopted aspects of the deity Ganesha, also a figure of wisdom and learning.
Lucifer- Lucifer does not fall in Bharatan Christianity, but is instead viewed as one of the four archangels and the warrior of God. He has adopted some elements of Kali in Bharatan Christianity, though he is viewed as a male.

Virgin Mary- The Virgin Mary is viewed as the theotokos, or bearer of God, and accorded great respect among the Bharatans as the mother of Jesus. Bharatan Christianity says that her parents, Joachim and Anne, had been told by Gabriel of Mary's future and made sure that Mary was raised well as a result. She has taken some aspects of Lakshmi.
Joseph- Joseph is viewed as the step-father of Jesus, and is traditionally painted as having raised Jesus and trained him as a carpenter. The Bharatans also say that Joseph intentionally tried to make Jesus informed and literate to ensure his fortune. He has taken some aspects of Surya.
Jacob- In Bharatan Christianity, Jacob is a stepbrother of Jesus, the result of an earlier marriage between Joseph and another woman. He is identified with the European Christian figure James the Just.
Jesus Christ- Jesus Christ is revered as the Son of God, born to the Virgin Mary, and as the Savior of Mankind who died on the cross but was resurrected. As a unitarian faith, Jesus is viewed as separate from God; however, he is viewed as fully human and fully divine. Most Bharatan doctrine revolves around his teachings.
Mary Magdalene- In Bharatan Christianity, Mary Magdalene is viewed as the wife of Jesus Christ, though it is also said that Jesus and Mary Magdalene had no children. As the wife of Christ, she is sometimes considered to have de facto been an apostle.

John the Baptist- John the Baptist, as in the other Christian sects, is recognized as the figure who baptized Jesus in the River Jordan. John the Baptist is also characterized as one of the teachers of Jesus Christ and as a foreteller of Christ's coming.
Nicodemus- Nicodemus, identified as the wealthy Bunai Ben Guiron, was a Pharisee and a prestigious Jew who met covertly with Jesus Christ, attempted to prevent his crucifixion, and was ultimately himself martyred after openly converting, for which he is revered.
Tiberius Longinus Panthera- Tiberius Longinus Panthera's role in Bharatan Christianity is due to several mistakes by early Greek missionaries, who combined Longinus(the Roman soldier who speared Christ on the cross and then converted) and a centurion named Tiberius Panthera(who, according to the Greek author Celsus, was the actual father of a bastard Jesus).

Simon Peter- Simon Peter, more commonly known simply as Peter, was one of the Twelve Apostles. In Bharatan Christianity, it is written that the resurrected Christ made Peter his successor as leader of the Christians. Peter is also venerated by some European Christians as the first Pope.
Andrew- Andrew was the brother of Simon Peter and another of Christ's apostles. It is also generally agreed that Andrew first met Jesus while they were both followers of John the Baptist. He made numerous attempts to convert those outside Rome's borders in Europe.
James the Greater- Son of Zebedee, James the Greater was either older or taller than James the Lesser. James, alongside Simon Peter and his brother John, was chosen to witness the Transfiguration. He is considered the first martyred apostle.
John- Brother to James the Greater and son of Zebedee, John is generally considered one of the two apostles to also be an evangelist in Bharatan Christianity, the other three evangelists being Mark, Luke, and Matthew. John is also considered to be the John of Patmos who received the Revelation of the end times.
Philip- Considered in the Bharatan Christian tradition with a man known to European Christians as Philip the Evangelist. While not considered an evangelist in Bharata, Philip is listed as an apostle and is famous for his charity in Jerusalem.
Bartholomew- Bartholomew is described as initially hesitant to join the apostles, famously remarking, "can anything good come out of Nazareth". He was reportedly swayed over after meeting Christ, who knew his friend, Philip. The Bharatan Christians maintain that Bartholomew briefly joined Thomas in India before Bartholomew's martyrdom.
Thomas- Thomas is generally considered to have been a twin, with an identical brother named Judah- not to be confused with Jude or Judas. Thomas is especially important to the Bharatan Christians, who maintain that Peter passed leadership of the church to Paul who then passed it to Thomas. Thomas also began the conversion of India to Christianity in the Bharatan Christian tradition, arguably making him responsible for the rise of Bharata as a Christian power in the East.
Matthew Levi- Son of Alpheus, Matthew Levi was a tax collector for the Roman government in Judaea before he became an apostle. Matthew, alongside John, Mark, and Luke, is considered to be one of the four evangelists, and one of the only two evangelists to have also been apostles.
James the Lesser- Another son of Alpheus, James the Lesser was either shorter or younger than James the Greater. Aside from being one of the twelve apostles and one of the many early martyrs of Christianity, James the Lesser is not particularly notable.
Jude Thaddeus- Sometimes known as Lebbaeus in the European Christian tradition, Jude Thaddeus was one of the twelve apostles. His father, Cleophas, was generally said to be married to a cousin of the Virgin Mary. For many Christians, he is a saint for the despairing and the hopeless.
Simon- Known as Simon the Zealot, Simon is not to be confused with Simon Peter, who is generally known only as Peter. It is generally believed that Simon the Zealot did much of his proselytizing with Jude Thaddeus.
Judas Iscariot- Depicted in European Christianity as the ultimate traitor, Bharatan Christians recognize Judas Iscariot as the most trusted and most loyal of Christ's apostles. In Bharatan Christianity, Jesus orders Judas to turn him over to the Romans, knowing that only his death can save mankind and only Judas is loyal enough to do such a thing. After turning in Jesus, Bharatan Christians believe that the refused monetary reward and hung himself out of guilt.

Lazarus- Lazarus of Bethany is said to have converted to Christianity after Christ resurrected him. His sisters, one named Martha and one named Mary(not to be confused with the Virgin or Magdalene), also converted and proselytizes with him.
Matthias- Matthias became an apostle following the death of Judas, having been elected to the position by lot. Because he was not chosen by Jesus as an apostle, he is generally not afforded the same prestige as the other apostles.
Paul- Successor to Peter and predecessor to Thomas, Paul was born as Saul of Tarsus and initially was an enemy of the Christian communities in Judaea and Syria. Paul did much to open the church up to Gentiles and made numerous theological decisions that affected all Christian sects greatly.
Nathanael- Described as an associate of the apostle Philip, Nathanael converted to Christianity and is respected as one of the early preachers of Christianity and an ally of Philip and Bartholomew.
Stephen- While James the Greater is the first martyred apostle, Stephen is regarded as the first martyr. The deacon of an early Christian church, Stephen was stoned by the Jewish authorities for blasphemy less than a year after Jesus was crucified. Paul, not yet converted, reportedly witnessed Stephen's martyrdom.
Cornelius Ekatontarchos- Known as Cornelius the Centurion, Cornelius was described as a generous man even before his conversion. Bharatan Christianity says that an angel told Cornelius to find Simon Peter, who then converted him.
Mark- Alongside John, Matthew, and Luke, Mark is one of the four evangelists. He is sometimes considered to be distantly related to other figures, notably Barnabas, but these allegations are not official church doctrine.
Luke- Alongside John, Matthew, and Mark, Luke is one of the evangelists. A disciple and ally of Paul, Luke is described as a physician, artist, and historian, in addition to his religious role.
